I have been to both places many times since 1990, but I think I'm done with the Philippines for a while. Yes there is more English and its easier to get around and yes the girls are probably more loving, but the deal-breaker for me is MILFs. Thats about all you find in AC and Manila. I remember my last trip to AC sitting the bar asking one of girls, which of the 35-40 visable girls, were not MILFs. The answer was 3, and all 3 of them were fat and chunky. When I monger, I'm not interested in older baby-damaged bodies and I'll put up with less GFE in order to have a sweet young spinner or a fresh-off-the-boat village girl. I think the Philippines norm is that the Catholics have too many kids and many mothers eventually feel they got to go to work to feed their kids. Whereas Thailand has a lot more young single girls trying to save some money for their future and send some money home to their parent’s village.

Of course that's a generalization and beautiful young single spinners can be found in Manila and there are plenty of hardcore MILFs working in Thailand, but the averages are much higher percentage of MILFs in Philippines.

So your answer lies in what type of women you are seeking.

Hilo77's post (#15405) is from July 18,2020 and mentions that Bulai69 is gone. I'm not sure if he's referring to the fact that Bulai69 has not posted in several years or that he had heard that Bulai69 had passed away. I hope not! I do know that Bulai69 had been experiencing some health issues.

Bulai69 and Menteng were both mentors to me when I first hit the Jakarta mongering scene back in 2004/2005 and I'm still grateful for their assistance. Besides being known for mall cruising, Bulai69 was also well-known for saying that he would only choose girls who were less than half his age and half his weight. Luckily, that's not hard to do in Jakarta.

P.S. Bulai69's last post here on ISG was in October 2011. The last mention of his still being around was a post by KL Guy (another mentor of mine) on September 25, 2018, mentioning that he had heard that Bulai69 was still traveling to Jakarta regularly.

I was sorry to read that Kartika and Berlian spas were totally dead and Royal Mas barely hanging on. Kartika was my go-to place during the time I actively mongered in Jakarta (2004-2009) with the other two places as back-ups. When I was last in Jakarta (March 2018), all 3 places were still active and busy and I would have recommended all 3 places as answers to your request for "cheap spa places where you can actually see the girls first. " I'd also recommend the bars at PangJay.

In response to a different discussion, I've always had the impression that the girls at Kartika / Berlian / Royal Mas worked there willingly. Two examples: when I visited Kartika in March 2018, I noticed that the red-haired Chinese woman named Sonia was still working there, the same Sonia with whom I had had several sessions during 2005-2008, beginning with a famous two-girl session with Cynthia/Sintia in February 2005. Yes, malls and places like Malio want to see proof of jab but I use a photoshopped one and had no issues. They only glance at it from far and don't even bother looking at the name.
