That is easy fixed, any business card cut to fit will slot into the Room Key switch and keep the TV/Aircon etc operating while you are out.

Yes agreed, Wild West Group was cheaper, but YMMV, didnt see a decent girl worth a Barfine in any of them !!

Tried to use the Barfine, minus lady drinks rule in all of the other bars, but it was generally not acceptable. Did negotiate discount in Ringside, but only after a few visits and having spent a fair bit one night.

Drink prices are fixed at 150 for a beer and 350 for a Ladydrink, just about all bars same. Except RIP OFF Joules Bar of course !! (250 & 750)

We saved the barfines by exchanging mobile numbers and waiting to see what happened after the shift over at 4 am. Interesting thing was, if you asked a mamasan what time the bar closed she would say 6 am, but the girls were all out by 4 if the place was quiet.

Whatever you pay or do the whole Burgos thing is a rip off compared with elsewhere. Cebu so much cheaper with drinks at 50 & 150 average and Barfines 2000 max with no more to pay the girl unless you are generous.

Does not work! I tried that too even mimicing the holes in the key. There is some kind of RF or magnetic signature in the key. As an engineer this intrigued me but then there was usually a hotty in the bed so I quickly lost my desire to reverse engineer the key system.

Actually we were not that good after all.

I've lived here in Makati for about 8 months now, and as you all know it's one of the best kept secrets in the world in terms of finding gorgeous, available women. I've figured out a lot of angles on getting girls here, but no doubt there is more to learn. One note. Don't ever pay a barfine on Burgos. It's not necessary and WAY too expensive. If you absolutely need to get laid this minute, EDSA is a better option. Or better yet LA Cafe. If you go there wait till after 9pm and go upstairs. Downstairs can be a little scary. LA Cafe shouldn't cost you more than P1500 or P2000 tops for the most gorgeous girl there (and there are some there, sometimes). I'll post more on that topic later.

So just how adventurous are you? If you can handle a little heat, I've got just the place for you to try and I've never seen it posted about here. It's a group of Filipino style girlie bars in the Cubao area of town. There are NO foreigners there and the area seems VERY shady, but I've never had any trouble, though I alway travel with a buddy.

Filipinos seem to like their girls white, with big tits. That's what you'll find there and many of them are drop-dead gorgeous. I'm not kidding, significantly better looking than even Burgos girls. And they get totally naked! There are about half a dozen places spread over a couple of streets. They have a two drink minimum, but beers are only P60. If you go to all the bars, which I did, that's a lot of beer for about P700. I didn't actually drink all of it. Ladies drinks are only P190 and the girls are really beautiful. So a round for you and her (2 for you) costs less than a ladies drink in Burgos. (But watch the bill, they will try to fuck the foreigner.) There are 6-8 girls at each bar and they dance one at a time. If you are impatient, tell the mamasan and she'll have all of them come out for your inspection. They do 3 dances, the last one completely nude. If you fancy one of them, wait till she is in the nude dance and tell the mamasan to have her come over. She will stop her dancing immediately and come over and sit on your lap naked if that's what you want. You'll need to buy her a ladies drink at that point. If you want to fuck her, you have to do it there in most of the places. The room costs P1500 and the girls fee about the same. It seemed too weird for me to do that there, but if you're horny enough it could be a go. Getting her number might work as well, but they sometimes live far.

To get there, from Makati tell the cabbie to get on EDSA and head towards Quezon. Turn right on the Cubao/Arnato exit and go about a mile. (Take the MRT rail if you want more of an adventure.) Look for some well lit clubs on some side streets on the left. They have names like "Cheap In" and "HotStuff". Walk around with the Cubao street (an overhead rail over the street) as your base to find the other clubs. They are all within several hundred meters of each other.

I thought it was a blast and the girls were the best looking bar girls I've seen in the Philippines. One note, if you are in a comparitively nice looking bar, and you notice there are NO female waitresses, you just might be the all nude ladyboy bar, LOL. If you walk in during a show, you'll probably figure that out right away.

I never said I went to Cubao to get laid, just for laughs. The price I mentioned for the girl was what they quoted me, the foreigner, so I have no doubt it can be negotiated down significantly. Probabably to about P2000 for the girl and room. And you are right, the rooms did look dodgy to me, that's why I refrained. Some of the places, and the neighborhood, are also dodgy. But that's part of the adventure. The juxtaposition of these pretty crappy looking clubs with extremely beautiful girls (some of them) was what blew me away. It's just an extension of where these girls live. I've had a chance to see where some of the girls I've had live, and it's mind-blowing for a westerner to see how even the best looking girl you've ever seen can live in such poverty. In terms of cost, these are the cheapest places going, especially if you don't intend to barfine, which I didn't. I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the quality of the girls.

On another note, I rarely if ever pay a barfine anymore. You just don't need to if you've lived here a while and know how to get the free stuff. I used to think the bargirls were better looking than regular girls, but I've changed that way of thinking. The best looking girls I've had (in my whole life) have been gotten from clubs, such as Cafe Havana in Greenbelt, and from the Internet. In many cases you can get laid the same night, but definitely by the second night in most cases. You will pay nothing for this except for their taxi and their drinks if you go out. That is until they know you a little bit, then almost all will hit you up for money for a sick relative or whatever. Nothing is really free here, but it is comparatively cheap. They still cost way less than dating an American girl would. I'd recommend the "free" girls because they can be higher quality in looks and personality. Many of them work at a real job or are students at college and can carry a reasonably intelligent conversation. I have about 4 or 5 of these right now and manage it by only seeing them once a week. This keeps the relationship talk to a minimum. I've done all the other ways of getting bargirls, etc. (and still occasionally go to LA Cafe) but that's the mode I'm in now. I still go to Burgos or EDSA for happy hour and some laughs with my friends, but don't need it for sex.

If you ever get the opportunity to live in Manila, I'd HIGHLY recommend it. The women are sometimes so beautiful it hurts, and much sweeter and nicer than American girls too. Ok first, a confession, i've been propositioned by girls in malls but never had the need to partake. Some mongers do judging by the posts.

Im an expat Aussie, often get asked if im asian (i guess because i have a trace of chinese ancestry) but would never pass for a local. True locals go to the casa's & pay about 10x less than these prices.

Funny Amavida that you should mention Zamboanga. I was there for three days earlier this week, and was also there about two weeks before that. It's only about 45 minutes from Davao by air, and the round trip costs about $100. I stayed again at the Garden Orchid and, as usual, had a nice, large room with a very small TV. At my corporate rate, I paid Php1,800 a night and there's free wifi in the large lobby restaurant. There's no internet in the rooms.

I've written before about the night scene in Zambo and nothing's changed in that respect. There are no taxis at all in town, so be prepared to take tricycles anywhere you need to go for Php20 or so a ride. There are no great restaurants in town, but there are places to eat edible food. Perhaps the best restaurant in town (that I've found) is the Japanese restaurant on the lowest level of the Garden Orchid. I had sushi there on Monday night and it was fine.

There is a Gaisano Mall in town and it's relatively new and packed all the time, so it may be a happy hunting ground.
