IMO, there could be more information available on how to avoid overpaying. I like, many other visitors, am not aware what is considered a good deal in Panama. I do know that compared the USA and even Costa Rica, that $200 for todo la noche with a hard body 18-25 year old is considered a very good deal. For example, at Hotel M in Costa Rica, the going rate is $150 an hour for the same quality of girl.
What would be a good deal for that in Panama, and how does one go about getting it?

OK, there are two ways to look at this. The first is to negotiate the price down. The second is to pay the given price, but for a longer time. Both work but I think the second choice is better.
For an independent high end girl at the Veneto or the Cigar bar, I tend to show up a little late in the evening. Around 12 midnight and scope things out. You see, it is getting late and time is running out for the girl to make some $. So I will negotiate with them at this time for 2 or 3 hours for the same price that they will quote for one hour which is Cien ($100). By the time you are done with the time it is around 3 or 4 in the morning. The girl really does not want to leave as she will be tired by then. You offer to let her stay and tell her that you will buy her breakfast in the morning. Then in the morning, if you feel like it you do the deed again, and take her to breakfast. Then you send her on her way. So the whole night will be $100 or $150 at the most. This is even easier to do if you are in a nice hotel with a comfy bed and nice bathroom as they tend to live stuffed into a small apartment with others. Don't pay anymore or eres muy stupido.
The second choice is at one of the clubs. Take one you like to the back room for an hour for about $85-95 or so. If she makes you happy and you click, find out what day she has off and have her come to you place that evening. You can take her for dinner, or not, it is up to you. Take her out dancing or to some romantic type spot in Amador. Then back to you place for business. I have offered the girls $150 for this all night situation and it works. Do not pay more than that for the better club girls at Club Miami or Golden Times. Other places can even be cheaper in the low rent districts and you can find some nice girls there also. You can also show up before work for the 2-3 hours for about $100. More "bang" for the buck that way.
Treat them well and with respect. Most of the girls are decent people but in a somewhat less than ideal situation in life. Back in the hotel I give them my hotel shampoos and soaps and such. They really like that stuff.
Yes, you can pay less, but the prices I listed are fair for everyone at the clubs and venues I listed.

One, where is La Bodequita located? I hope it is near where I am staying at the Hotel Las Vegas.
Two, do I need to bring a voltage converter with me? Or does Panama operate on the same voltage as America?

$35 from the airport to Hotel Las Vegas. That is a little more than others, however they took good care of me. Plane was an hour late arriving and he waited for me. Took my three bags for me and he drove a SUV. He even stayed with me to make sure I got booked at the hotel okay. I offered to pay him and he told me to just pay him tomorrow (Easy Travel is taking me on a tour tomorrow) that shocked me coming from America.
Anyway the hotel desk guy told me they were having problems with their wi-fi internet. That sucks because I need that to send you guys this report. Oh well, you have to expect certain problems when you go to different countries. I was told there is an internet cafe across the street. I'll let you know what happens. Hotel Las Vegas has 1 bedrooms and it has suites. I am getting this suite for $75 a night. I took pictures so you can appreciate the size and space it has. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of room. It even has a balcony and the picture I took of the Veneto Casino, that was taken from my balcony. It is literaly across the street and more space and less than half the price.
I've been flying literally all day and night. The restaurant at Hotel Las Vegas was closed so the desk guy recommended Veneto Casino (24 hours a day). I went over there had a few beers, gin and tonic, and a chicken sandwich with fries. Very, very few working chicas in the casino. It was Sunday night after 11:00pm, but I still expected more. There was one chica sitting by herself for a while so I introduced myself. Mind you, if I can talk and get laid in Panama, anybody can, because I don't speak or know any Spanish and the girl didn't know English.
This girl was not my type but I was horny and there wasn't much selection. So I told her I was interested and she laughed because she is married and her husband is in the casino playing poker. I felt stupid! But she must have been a working girl in her past because she told me about her friend and called her on the cell to come over. It took her friend about 20 minutes to get there. Regarding the number of girls at Veneto: I stayed there 6 months ago and there were girls, but not the 20-30 that I have read about here. I did enjoy the company of Yanela and I wonder if she still hangs out at Veneto. I posted her photo in the photo section on 12/4/06.

If you can tap into a house full of independents like you did on the first night you could be set for the trip. You might try calling your girl back and asking her to bring one of her friends with her. Your story at the bar is funny, but you are lucky the guy was cool with it.
Veneto is schizophrenic. Soemtimes they want the girls in there and sometimes they don't. When I was there in mid-March it looked like they were busing them in. But I have been there before when they had similar policies and it was like a ghost town in there. Except full of horny guys! Sometimes it has to do with immigration, others with guest complaints and sometimes management just gets stupid. Try it again on another night just to see.

My second day in Panama was uneventful. I was super tired needed to rest, but of course I didn't. I had a tour arranged for the day. So after I got rid of my girl from last night I went on a tour of the city. I can't travel all the way to Panama and just monger, I have to do a little culture sight seeing (smile).
Went into Veneto Casino again to check out the sights, and to confirm or deny to myself if this Casino is dead or not for us mongerers. Sad to report there were less girls tonight then there was Sunday night. Almost all of the girls in the Casino were just Panamian girls with their boyfriends. Not much of a selection to choose from. Which is a terrible condition to be in when you are horny and you let your little head take over for your big head the task of thinking.
I didn't want to go home alone so I grabbed this spinster just sitting in front of one of the machines. Paid $100. Not as good as Diana. I think she told me her name was Gabriella; honestly I don't know what her name is, too much drinking on my part to truly remember details that don't really concern me.

I'm back again, and soon heading back to Panama, I've read some of the shit posted here and it's really sad knowing some idiots over paying some sluts more than a $100, I can't believe some of them even payed $500, thats plain stupid and bad for many of us mongers who'll get target for rip offs.
I said it before and say it again I never ,ever paid more than a 100 to any girl,in any country, even the shakira looking type ones , my average is and will be between $20 and $80 dollars for a few hours, all night it won't go over the cien.

Just thought I'd write a few observations about Panama. As previously reported noise can be an issue especially if you are not from a big city. If you are from someplace like New York you are use to it already. The noise is a constant honking of horns. The city has over a million people. Imagine a city the size of Detroit or Seattle with only half the number of stop signs and traffic lights. As far as driving goes it is the wild wild west here! I don't think there is such a thing as traffic laws here. You just do whatever you have to do to go from point A to point be. They do have auto accidents here! I saw one, only my second day here. If you are not from Panama I would not recommend driving here, at least not in the city. Take a taxi.
Just because you are not driving doesn't mean you are safe from the cars. As far as I can tell pedestrians do not have the right away. In other words cross the street at your own risk! Normal streets aren't that bad, however major intersections are very tough to cross. You just have to weave in and out of traffic and pray that the car will decide to let you live and not hit you as you cross the street. Last night on Via Vento I saw a businessman get hit by a car. He just got up limped away, and then the car kept on going. To the people walking on the sidewalks watching, it didn't seem to be that big a deal. Late at night when most of the action is going on, traffic is not so bad. Be warned when crossing the street always proceed with caution!
Just so you know it gets dark here in Panama much sooner than in the United States, and it is not just because of Daylight Savings time. If you look at a map I can't understand why Panama is in the Eastern Time Zone. The state of Ohio is about as far west as you can go in the Eastern Time Zone in the United States, and Panama is much further west than Ohio is. Anyway around 6:30pm it is dark here. That plus very little street lights makes the city get dark much quicker than one might expect. The sun comes up much earlier too, so be sure to close those curtains before you go to bed (smile).
