The point of tipping is that the next time around, you get much better service. Also you can get the girl to agree to more extras they wouldn't normally do (BBBJ or CIM). Be careful, and don't assume she's into you as more than a customer. That can lead to bad news. Remember it's a business.

I was down in Tijuana Thursday night. I have to say I'm really disappointed with the recent changes in HK.

First of off, the waiters are required to sell photos / cheese trays / chips or they pay for it themselves. This is extremely annoying. I sat down with a girl and in the span of 3 mins I had 3 different waiters come up and try to take a picture. It sucks for them to be pressured to sell these goods, but I think there could be a much better way going about it. Such as lowering the price or drink / snack combo discounts. If the waiter said, something like,"hey this cheese tray is only $2 extra bucks with your beer", I would probably go for it. I think you should email them Tom, they seem to respond to you.

The girl I sat down with told me the manager is an ass and very greedy. She said they even stopped using napkins. I didn't even notice that at all til I looked down at my beer and it was missing the complimentary napkin coaster.

If HK continues with this new direction in badgering customers to buy stuff, even their popularity won't last them long. The only reason I go in HK now is to visit a few of my favorites.

I went to Tijuana last weekend, my first trip since 3 months ago. Arrived at the border around 5pm Saturday. The walk from the McDonalds to the arch was 11 minutes (I timed it). A few minutes later and I was checking into Hotel Cascadas. As reported before, they raised the rate to $40 / night. This time the room had hot water, unlike last time, and was very quiet. I could hardly hear the music from the bars at all. I had planned to do my actual sleeping at a $20 hotel somewhere else where it was quiet but instead I decided to stay at Cascadas all night. I guess the noise level depends on the location. So if you want a quiet room ask for room number 225.

There was a girl staying 2 doors down in 223 who tried to get me to come in and "visit" her, but I said no thanks.

Spent about 2 1/2 hours wandering around HK and there were some hot dancers for sure. Really crowded and way too many guys. I wasn't expecting it to be so crowded so early. A really hot dancer came up to me after her dance was done and we sat down and I got her a drink. Along with the drink the waiter added some chips that I didn't ask for so I handed them right back to him. The waiter asked if we wanted to go to the VIP area for $70 but I said no thanks, wanted to hang out some more. Is that the normal price for the VIP room and what exactly goes on up there?

I thought I was being smart by only having pesos in HK and I thought I would tip with 10 peso notes but turns out the 10 peso notes arent notes, they are coins. So I ended up tipping girls with 20 peso notes instead, which ended up costing me more (20 pesos=$1. 77).

I talked to probably 5 girls the whole night and none of them spoke english. My spanish sucks but is just barely enough to get by on. Around 8pm I decided to pick a girl and instead of trying to hook up with one of the hotter ones I decided to pick a 2nd tier girl who would hopefully give me better service. The line at the border was huge so I decided to pay $5 for a van that supposedly would get me through in "20 minutes". It actually took 45 minutes but was still worth the $5.

All together (SD parking, hotel, drinks, tipping, etc) I spent about $250. I would have to say it was not worth all that time and money just to get laid for an hour. I need to work on keeping my costs down, maybe try SW's next time. I have a hot latina regular in SD that is giving me literally the best sex of my life for $200 so I will stick with her for the next few times.

The selling of photos and chips seems to be the norm, at least since I have been going there. The cheese tray is rather new, and the cheese sucks!

I did notice the absence of the complimentary napkin coaster this past Friday. I believe this is because that some of the girls, especially Ali, while drinking, ball up the napkins and throw them at other customers. And yes, I'm guilty of that silly act as well.
