I've been there last week. I came out and looked for police – none to be found – main street in Paris 9:30 PM. Found a parking police guy – he refused to help – simply gave directions to a police station a mile away.

Was hanging around – what to do next– met another guy exact same story (different club).

Then surprise – the club barman shows up and returns 50E – says boss returned the money for Taxi. (some courtesy, at least).

Next day I was in the Notre Dame, saw a police station (likely the main police station of Paris) – went there – wanted to lodge a complaint. Finally they found an English speaking cop – explained him the story- he was sympathetic, and confirmed lot of these incidents are reported in that area- they suggest tourist avoid this area. He indicated the police will take action – but I have to go and file the complaint in the Moulin area. I was leaving that night so I gave up.

Even though I am a seasoned veteran – been there and done that, I think it was somewhat naïve for me to stay in club as the only customer (either the place is bad or trouble can happen) , also to let even the first drink come without explicitly confirming the price (we all have heard of scams). Did not exactly expect it in a place like Paris, at least this bad, including physical violence.

So fellow hobbyists please take note and beware.

Sorry to hear what happened to you SB Tiger. France many years was a great place for pro-mongering but sadly times have changed and France today is a dead loss.
