Berlian: An oldy but a goody
After a long time away from Kota, I went down to Berlian off Mangga Besar last night. The place seems to have been renovated a bit since last time I was there: it used to have a very brightly lit - too bright, really - reception area and a little bar next to it. This has been opened up to create a large bar, a bit more like Kartika down the road.
Berlian always gets mixed reviews. Some people walk out screaming about the old hags, other people like it. It's true that there are a lot of 30+ women there. On the other hand, these older workers do tend to compensate a bit by doing practically anything a client wants: if you ask around, anal, dildos, what have you, all seem to be on the menu. Also, since the renovation, they seem to have brought in some younger, prettier girls, too.
Had a session with Voni, or Foni. Pretty face, nice body, probably about 30. Fun to hang out with, but a little bit prim by Berlian standards. No kissing - well, okay, I can live with that - but no AR, either, and that's a bit disappointing. I've come to think of that as pretty standard in Jakarta. Still, good fun.
The rack rate is Rp 250,000, and a tip of about Rp 50,000 for normal service seems to be expected. Last orders at ten, but things seem to start winding down at nine on a weekday. Voni's phone rang twice while she had her mouth full, so I told her to take a break and deal with it quickly: the ojeg driver downstairs trying to hurry her up. Like a good professional, she told him to chill out and wait or fuck off.
With Melawai now trying to charge a standard Rp 400,000 this seems like a good alternative. I prefer places that charge lower rates so you can tip more: nice to be able to express appreciation for good service.

Good Experience at Malioboro Hotel and Spa
Yes, I went back to Malioboro this week, and yes, I had a good experience there.
Stopped by at 11:45 am and the girl at the front desk told me that the spa was already open, but that the girls would not come on duty until 12 Noon. No problem, I started off with sauna and shower.
Upstairs at 12:10 pm and was told by the second floor receptionist that the prices:
- for a regular massage-only with a local girl was 200,000 rupiah for an hour, room charge included
- for massage-only with a Chinese girl was 300,000 rupiah (listed on the sign on the counter as a “Panda Massage”), room charge included
- a “full body massage plus plus” with a local Indonesian girl was 350,000 rupiah, room charge included
- there are also higher-priced girls available, up to 1,500,000 rupiah for a fuck session with a P.R. China girl, but I was only interested in the lower price categories.
I replied that I’d like the full body massage. I mentioned that when I had last been there, during Ramadan, that I had been charged an extra 175,000 rupiah for the room on top of the 350,000 rupiah house fee. The receptionist replied that the extra fee was because the third floor (with the massage rooms) had been closed during the month of Ramadan, so the extra charge was for a regular hotel room on the 4th floor, but that I would not be charged the extra fee now because Ramadan was over.
Unfortunately, no girls were on duty yet! The receptionist called one of the “mamis” on the phone; the mami came in and said that one local Indonesian girl had just arrived, literally as the girl was just then walking up the stairs. She looked fine to me so I said “I’ll take her” and off we went to one of the massage rooms on the 3rd floor.
In the room, we stripped down, the girl went into the shower with me and gave me a thorough wash. She then apologized for not having any make-up on (since she had just arrived), but I said no problem, which was true as she was already pretty and didn't need make-up to look good.
Back to the massage bed, she asked me to lie face down, got some massage oil, rubbed my entire back and legs, then gave me a nice, professional-level body-to-body massage, with her decent-sized firm tits rubbing all over me – an unexpected treat.
Then she had me flip over onto my back and she gave me a complete “cat bath” licking, with lots of attention to the groin area. She then concentrated on some serious tea-bagging and BBBJ action, popped on a condom, then climbed on cowgirl-style and away we went. And the total 450,000 rupiah is a bargain in comparison with the 1,500,000 rupiah rate for a Chinese girl; I doubt if a session with the higher-priced Chinese girl would be any better than the session and service that I received from Eva!
So, while Malioboro may not be as good as Alexis, it still was very nice.
