Nevada has legal brothels where prostitution is legal.
Yup, soliciting and doing the deed is still illegal, but cops aren't supposed to bug SW and potential Johns, something they would do in places like Figueroa in LA. Where the standing around ends and soliciting begins is to be figured out in the courts. But the fact they would decriminalize the loitering of clearly working girls is a surprise in it of itself.
Nevada has legal brothels where prostitution is legal. So there is a precedent for brothels & prostitution to be legal in the states. Trying to expand that will be an uphill battle.
Not legal in many parts of Nevada only in certain jurisdictions. What I meant is at the federal level. I do not think we will see federal legalization of prostitution in my lifetime. Who knows though, states like Texas make solicitation a felony even on the first offense. It is states like Texas that will make federal legalization very difficult if not impossible. Of course the government could defer the legalization of prostitution to the individual states, still not an easy road imo. I can see maybe California being one of the first states after Nevada to legalize it as they did with Marijuana. But even in Nevada it is only legal in certain jurisdictions, outside of Las Vegas in a city called Pahrump and outside of Reno, which I have visited before.
