Port Barton, San Vincente, and Long Beach
Hey NB, how long did you stay in Port Barton and where did you stay? I spent 4-days there and loved it. I stayed at one of the beachside cottages at Deep Gold Resort. I have been looking at some property in San Vincente but have not been there yet. Can you give me some details about the area? Is San Vicenta a town similar to Port Barton? Were there islands close by? Diving? TW.
TW,
Port Barton:
I stayed at Greenviews in Port Barton for 5 days. I had a beach side cottage (1200p) and I highly recommend the place. The Greenviews restaurant was very good too. The tuna steaks, fish filets, and chicken were great. I found great food in Palawan. The two hotel restaurants at Sabang Beach, Palawan likewise served great fresh fish and other seafood. They don't fuck with mother nature.
Deep Gold is no more. The place is closed down, Maybe you might be interested in buying the property? By the way, what are the laws concerning foreign ownership of real estate. I thought farangs could not own land because they could not hold title. Thus all we can do is buy condos with the condo association holding the title to the land. Is there a way around this because I would really like to own some property on Long Beach, San Vincente.
Long Beach:
You have to go! 14 km of perfect totally undeveloped, open ocean, palm fringed, beach. It is about 3km north of San Vincente. I spent 2 days there. It was idyllic. It reminded me of good times long ago (in the 70's) in Nicoya, Costa Rica. I met two German girls that were camping out there (the only other tourists) , and a handful of friendly locals that lived in simple bamboo huts along the beach under the coconut trees. (Along the entire 14km beach there were no more than 6 fisherman huts.) But this place has not escaped notice. Plans are on the board to build an airport. When the airport comes, so will hotels. This is the last chance to buy beautiful beach front property at reasonable rates. That is if you can.
Port Barton Bay:
As you know, Port Barton is a back packers tourist destination. It is quiet, beautiful and low keyed. I liked the beach, but it is an inter coastal beach and so it is muddy and there is poor visibility. Better beaches are found on the little islands in the bay. Two Canadians and I rented a local boat (barka?) for 1200p and the captain took us around to 5 or 6 islands. Some islands had excellent snorkeling and some islands had beautiful little beaches. Some islands were privately owned by wealthy Filipinos. There is one dive shop in Port Barton. Based on the healthy coral and fish life I saw while snorkeling; I think the diving here should be pretty good. The captain caught some fish and we lunched on a small island with a beach. The entire trip began around 9am and we did not get back to Port Barton until 4:30pm. My back was lobster red.
San Vincente and Long Beach.
The next day, I hired the captain (1200p / day) to take me to San Vincente. San Vincente is very different than Port Barton. It is a sleepy little commercial port / fishing village. There are a couple of pensions, where you can stay if you want to, but the town is not oriented toward backpackers or any tourists. Yet! All that will change when they build the airport. It took about an hour to get there from Port Barton by boat. The inter coastal scenery was great. The captain tied his boat off at the pier and I met this friendly local guy with a motorcycle who offered to take me to Long Beach and back for 150p. Long Beach is walk able from town, but for 150p I had a round trip ride at my disposal. I hung out on Long Beach for 3 or 4 hours. Like I said I really dug it there and returned the next day for more of the same. This would be a great place for some old friends to camp out with a couple of Filipinas and just kick back with mother nature. I would make sure the girls are up for camping out before hand. The local fisherman will gladly cook up all the fresh fish you want, there are plenty of coconuts for drinking, and town, beer, and other necessities are close by. I plan to go back to Long Beach next year.
Philippines Diary, days 11-13, Coron
This is days 11-13 of my Philippines diary. The previous installments can be found on the Manila, Cebu and Angeles threads. I wake up in Angeles.
Day 11, Tuesday: Coron.
I got up mid-morning and packed. My flight to Palawan was due to leave Manila at 4. 05pm so I got a trike to Dao bus station where a taxi driver offered to take me directly to the airport for 1500 pesos. I declined his offer and jumped on to a bus bound for Pasay. The fare came to 129 pesos and two hours later I was in the sprawling concrete jungle of Manila.
From Pasay I flagged a taxi to take me to Terminal 3 of Ninoy Aquino Airport. A few hours later the small Cebu Pacific propeller aircraft I was in was rising in to the sky above Manila. The flight took just 50 minutes and the scenery was spectacular as we flew over the rugged island of Mindoro and then across to Palawan. We touched down at Busuanga Airport as the sun hung low in the sky. The mini-bus ride to Coron Town took 45 minutes.
By the time I arrived in Coron Town it was dark. I found a hotel from my tour book but they didn't have any single or double rooms available. After a long day of travel I wasn't in the mood to shop around so settled on a triple room for 1600 pesos per night. There were three single beds laid side-by-side and the walls were painted bright yellow. It felt like a kids bedroom but I didn't mind. The TV offered a bare minimum of watchable channels but I didn't come to Palawan to watch TV.
Coron Town is a small town next to a busy harbour. I found a sea-food restaurant and had tuna steak for dinner. I was sat on my own, amongst several Filipino families. I had to smile to myself. Here I was in Philippines, early evening, with just myself for company. The night before I had the choice of over 1000 beautiful girls!
Although Coron does have sex venues to explore, I felt tired after a long day of travel so had an early night.
Day 12, Wednesday: Coron.
I spent the day on a boat-trip around the islands of Coron Bay. The scenery was spectacular, the beaches were great and there were lots of tropical fish to see. On the trip there was a feisty Russian girl. She complained a lot and&8200; I could see that other girls on the boat disliked her, but being a typical man I was won over by her large breasts. At one point she asked me to apply sun-tan lotion on to her back which I enjoyed a little more than I probably should have.
The boat arrived back in Coron Town at 4. 30pm and after a change of clothes, I had dinner at Sea View restaurant. The sun-set was spectacular and I admired two gorgeous blond Australian girls sat nearby. They had big muscle-bound boyfriends with lots of tattoos, so I perved discretely. These type of girls (the Russian on the boat or the Australian girls at the restaurant) are unattainable for guys like me back home and yet when I come to Asia I can find far prettier girls willing to lavish me with attention.
I was in the mood to find some action. My research revealed that Coron Town has a small sex scene. The best bet is HARD&8200; ROCK DISCO. From the large public square near the harbour, there is a junction on the corner where most of the trikes congregate. From this corner a road heads uphill towards the National Highway and there is a right turn on to Real Street. 50 yards up this street on the left is Hard Rock Disco. Three girls poked their head out of the door as I approached and called "hello mister". I smiled to them and walked inside.
The time was 10pm when I walked in. As its name suggests, it was just like a disco. Loud music was playing and girls were dancing sexily on the dance floor. The place was very busy. I bought myself a lukewarm beer and sat down at a vacant table against a side wall. The occasional drip fell from the ceiling above and I noticed a few loose wires handing down. It's fair to say that Health & Safety has never been a high priority in Asia.
Most of the tables were taken by Filipino men who seemed to be having a night out drinking beer with their friends. Some of them went on to the dance floor to try their luck with the Filipino girls. The place felt like a regular disco so I wondered how the Filipino men would react to see a foreigner walk out with their favourite girl? I made a mental note to tread carefully.
The place clearly had pick-up potential. There were six girls sat on stools near a small payment counter by the dance floor but the standard wasn't good. Compared to the rich hunting grounds of Angeles, there were slim pickings. There was an overweight girl with big breasts and a few bored looking older girls checking their phones. But it wasn't all bad. A few decent lookers were chatting with some middle-aged Australian men at a table in the middle of the room, who were young with nice figures. One of them was perhaps a 7/10 although it was difficult to be sure in the dark. Overall there were about a dozen freelance hookers.
I was halfway down my bottle of San Miguel when a girl walked over and asked whether she could sit with me. She had a pleasant face and nice curves, so I&8200; pulled up a seat. She introduced herself as Rose and told me that she was 22 years old. She proved to be one of the brightest girls I'the met in Philippines. I complimented her on her immaculate English and she told me that her parents had insisted that she only speak English in the family home as she grew up, to give her a head start so she could get a good job. I asked her how she'the ended up working in Hard Rock and she told me that it was good money and she'the only intended to do it once. She had flown over from Manila and spent two weeks in Coron, making lots of money, but when the mamasan found out that she didn't intend to come back, she offered to pay for her flights in future. This was Rose's third time in Coron. She told me that her mother had been upset when she found out what she was doing ('I had to tell her, I can't keep secrets from my mother') but had supported her and of course was grateful for the money that she was sent. Behind every bar-girl is a similar story.
She told me that like any club in Philippines, Hard Rock is busiest on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. On those nights it stays open until the last customer leaves ('it was open until 5am on Saturday'). Even on a Wednesday night every table was taken by customers while I was there, from 10pm to 11pm.
I enjoyed chatting with Ann. There was a intelligence and inquisitiveness about her, so it didn't feel like the usual gogo girl chitter-chatter ("what you name? Where you from? Where you stay?"). She seemed genuinely interested to find out about me and where I&8200; was from. She also had an enticingly curvy figure so I told her that I'the like to take her back to my hotel. She told me it would cost 2000 pesos for three hours, which tallied with my online research.
I paid the surly woman at the cashier desk and felt the eyes of the Filipino men following me as I walked out with Ann. I needn't have worried, they were fine and some even smiled to me as I walked past.
We got a trike back to my hotel. In places like Manila, Cebu and Angeles, customers walking in to hotels with pretty Filipino girls is commonplace but in touristy places like Coron, the 'walk of shame' is very much alive and well. I got a disapproving look from the young male receptionist as I picked up my key.
We lay on adjacent single beds, chatting. She was so sweet I was hesitant and unsure how to get down to business. It reminded me of having a date back in England, chatting with a girl while wondering how to get in to her knickers. We talked for an hour before she innocently said 'so, what happens now? ' with a cheeky smile. 'You can join me on this bed if you like' I said and 60 seconds later we were kissing.
The girl from Hard Rock had given me a hard cock. I undressed her and she had a curvy figure with generous sized tits. She lay on her back and I slid in to her and fucked her slowly in missionary as we kissed. I gradually fucked her faster, until I was leant upright and pouncing her pussy hard, watching those lovely breasts of hers wobbling with each thrust. You have to be careful fucking a girl on a single bed that you don't fall off. We carefully swapped positions and she rode me to a climax, expertly using her hips while I fondled her lovely breasts.
It was an enjoyable session. She left with a nice tip in her purse.
Day 13, Thursday: Coron.
I spent the day on another boat trip, diving around Japanese ship-wrecks. At one point I saw a giant turtle swimming gracefully in the warm waters. Coron is definitely a nice diversion. While I was walking along a pristeen beach I remembered CJ's request to bring her a shell. I found a pretty one and put it in my pocket.
It was my last night in Coron but I didn't feel inspired to take a girl. I wanted my batteries to be fully recharged for when I returned to Angeles. Coron's scene is sleepy and Angeles is the rock'and'roll sex capital of the world by comparison. I was pleased with myself though. I'the come to a beautiful place for a few days and had a great time. You don't come to places like Coron for the girls, it's a stunning tourist destination with great scenery, great beaches and great diving. The fact that there is a small girlie scene is just an added bonus. Fucking a nice girl in Coron had been the icing on the cake. I'the wanted to dip my toe in the water, so to speak, and I'the managed that.
Coron Town does have other pay-for-play venues. They mainly come in the form of videoke or karaoke bars though, which I'm not a big fan of. Near the corner of the main square I walked past Tythons Videoke Bar. There were rows of blue lights leading up some steps but I didn't enter. I heard it described as "probably your best bet with 10 girls". Apparently there are a few more videoke bars but I wasn't in the mood to look for them. I ate at Sea View restaurant again and watched the sun set. The sizzling squid was delicious and after a several beers I walked back to my hotel.
On the way I walked past two young Filipino's. One was very cute with braces on her teeth but it was her ladyboy friend who did the talking. 'Where you go? ' she asked in a high-pitched voice. I told her I was going to bed. 'Can I come with you? ' she asked and her cute friend elbowed her. She was an attractive ladyboy but I declined her offer. I considered asking her cute friend but decided against it. I needed to save my energy for Angeles.
It's useful to know about places like Coron. Tourist destinations where pay-for-play can be found. Angeles is just 'girls, girls, girls' with little else to do. Another option is Puerto Galera, two hours by road and a short ferry-hop south of Manila. It has nice beaches and half a dozen gogo bars. Sadly Korean's have now discovered it so prices have risen. Why are Korean's so disinterested in paying the correct price? Two years ago the bar-fine in Puerto Galera was 2000 pesos but thanks to their big-spending ways, it is now 3000 pesos. Even so, I had been impressed by the quality of girls on my last visit.
I'the enjoyed my time in Palawan but I was excited to be returning to Angeles tomorrow. I lay in bed and wondered what girls lay in store for me.
