Jakarta - Hotels

The hotel is nice and modern. The rooms are the usual small new style rooms (ie. Just a bed and a bench) - but I like the hotel alot for the BlokM area due to its bar and resto. I think its better than the Fave / NEO / POP / Amaris type of hotels with their plastic bathrooms and boring Ikea themed restaurants.

M. and the Executive Room size: 25 sq. M. A bit bigger than the other hotel rooms. I did not notice a fridge / refrigerator in the room. Shower in Deluxe and bath tub in Executive. Price seems reasonable.

NEO hotel is a chain hotel the one in Blok M is across from Blok M mall better than the Wow hotel chain and is new there are 5 hotel in Jakarta, I stay at the one at Mangar Dua in April very clean you can book with Agoda is around 38 usd a night.

Stayed recently in DCozie, one street from Falahetan BlokM. Basically its on antasari / prapanca road. Where all the bluebirds hang around who are too afraid to go into Falahetan.

Rooms the usual boring decor, but a great rooftop bar has aircon inside and open air outside. Small but cozy and great chilled music. Also has karaoke with a big western song book (not Kota style Karaoke).

From the rooftop bar you can see MyBar entrance.

But it closes at 11 pm.

Another worthy alternative, PARTICULARLY if you want to be close to the Falahetan action.

Am I right? I am not attached to any road or street, just looking now before booking.

But no normal western style bars up there and someplaces very local scene.

Central = business, malls, 5 star hotels and their bars and great resto's and bars for the rich and famous.

South I assume you mean BlokM = for expat and caucasian bars, with english speaking part time hookers. Scene is a bit tired IMHO.

If you plan to hookup with parttime english speaking PART TIME hookers, who may not be above 8 out 10's south is fine.

If you want to purely monger with younger mostly non-english speaking FULL TIME hookers , north is better but more challenging.

Traffic is crap, I would be more inclined to do a few days in BlokM as an intro to Jakarta. If you get tired of the single mother scene, move your hotel to north. I find vacancy rates never a problem in the city and I frequently book hotels on agoda for same day action.

Personally, I do not travel thousands of miles to see the same people I just behind. I prefer the local scene and not western bars and expats as you have the western bars at home. I will share my time between the north and south. Should be fun.

I will be staying at Mercure Sabang the whole next week. How do I get some good time in that hotel or near that. I will be here for the first time and then I may locate here also. Please help me with good pointers with budget and reference.

I remember large chested Bella well, and used to go with her many times back in those old days around 2002. She was my favorite girl there at Maribaya for a while. Love those tits! Back in those days, I went to Maribaya at least 3 nights a week and Bella was night shift back then. Henny has always been day shift as far as I know. I know the gentleman who put Bella up in Taman Rasuna fairly well. She's not at Taman Rasuna these days anymore. I had Bella come to my apartment a few times years ago after she moved out of Rasuna. Not as young as what you find in North Jakarta, but young enough IMHO. I would guess she is younger than the typical Maribaya girl though although I usually only pay much attention to the ones I am attracted to and therefore don't have a good sense of the average age of all the girls there.
