I know this is the SP thread but we are all here to learn and I learned the scene in Rio recently and think it's noteworthy. I posted reports on my Monte Carlo terms experience and an amazing Seeking Arrangements date with a girlfriendy 9. 5 and both experiences were Wowzers.

ENTRY FEE.
Charging 500 BRL or even 550 BRL for entry is outrageous. You can very well afford it, but if you put it in context it's more than a concert ticket, it's more than 99% of normal nightclubs worldwide, its a good meal for 2 in most of Europe. I don't think our community of tourists, business travellers, expats etc should be enabling this outrageous level of entry fee just to get into the amusement park, because afterwards you still need to pay for every single ride. Even if 300 BRL of the 500 BRL is for consumption that only gives you around 3 hard liquor drinks. If you want to speak with girls and make them have a good time they always ask for for something with hard liquor so that gives you 1,5 interactions with women assuming you both consume. Appalling.
WOMEN JACKING UP PRICES.
The professionals there trow numbers to the wall just to see what sticks or flies. The problem is quite a few people believe these numbers and enable them. I went to Scandallo a few days ago. I speak perfect Portuguese. And girls were asking me 2 K to go upstairs for 1 hour. You can absolutely negotiate, but when the negotiation starts with one side in such a big outlier it leaves everyone with a bad taste when you eventually settle for 500 to 1000.
After a lot of experiences, my go to plan is "Pernoite": the girl comes back to your venue and sleeps over with you. The best ones will leave in the morning when it feels appropriate for everyone, weirdos that don't know how to provide good service leave at 6 am on the dot (avoid those obviously). This is what makes me happy and because I'm spending soo much time with them I have a better feeling if I should put them in the roster of girlfriends in the quick call book in my frequent trips to SP.
The same night. A few nights ago. I see an absolute stunner, in my eyes at least. Dark, long hair, slim, 1,70, the type of girl that doesn't find a lot of market in the locals, but would probably count her clients as being the local asian community and the gringos. She was busy talking with some local, I wait for my opportunity and make my move. We introduce ourselves etc, and I ask her how much she charges for Pernoite. "-3,5 K to 3 K would be pernoite". And I'm like thinking in my head WTF? 3,5 K BRL is 670 USD:
You used to buy top of the line iPhones for that sort of money.
You can pay 1 month rent in a good flat in SP for that money.
You can pay for 1 return economy ticket to Europe or US if bought in advance.
You can have a multi-hour engagement with a professional in most European countries.
Etc.
I normally pay 1500 BRL for pernoite. Girls have quoted me in the past less and more: 1000,1200, 1300,1800, 2000. I've settled in 1500 as an equilibrium price that I think is fair for both parties. Mind you 1500 BRL is still 275-300 USD, it's proper money.
Crucially I enjoy doing pernoite threesomes. After research and when I know at least 1 of the girls, I normally ask the girl I trust to choose a friend that fits my preferences. For a threesome pernoite I pay 3. 000 BRL, 1. 500 each. And I've had a couple of mind blowing, best moments in my life experiences of fucking 2 girls most of the night for hours (some pills helped, even if you don't need them, I would suggest you take to really give you the endurance).
So I absolutely can't give to 1 girl. As hot as she might be. The same amount I use to get for 2 girls.
THE HORRIBLE NIGHTCLUB EXPERIENCE.
Against what a couple of other members have said, I actually prefer to go to Scandallo in the early afternoon. Many reasons.
It's cheaper at 300 to 350 BRL the entry and you can stay until the close early morning, so you save 200 BRL.
It's a much more relaxed atmosphere. The girls that do the afternoon shift are also more relaxed and more in need, they will probably at max only find 1 client in the whole afternoon so they take their time.
The afternoon is very different to the after 10 pm time in Scandallo: I hate Scandallo after 10 pm when they open the dancefloor / nightclub area.
1st At that moment you start getting locals that buy bottles and hoover up girls to their tables. Why the actual fuck do you need to impress professionals with bottles of anything in a *****house? - and then you're like "I've already paid 500 BRL to enter and now I still need to be here competing with other men like if I was in a normal nightclub? Whyyyyyy?
2nd Because there's so many men and so much money being stupidly thrown away, girls start choosing and selecting who they will go up with. Fortunately I'm still young. But again why am I feeling like I'm in a normal nightclub with the same social rules of a normal nightclub? For that I go to a normal nightclub!
3rd Lower rated girls need now to start making money. They might have not worked already, so you get all of the 4's, 5's, 6's, low 7's (they also work in Scandallo, don't think otherwise) hitting on you, and you need to bat them off like you're playing an episode of Last of Us or something. Gets boring, gets sad, quickly.
4th the incentives make this time of night be more productive for the mercenaries that know how to say all the right words and all the right promises. That they won't keep, so you will have to use a lot of judgement to see what is a bluff and what is an unpolished diamond.
AS A GROUP WE NEED TO.
Go in the afternoons to Scandallo.
Don't do go to Scandallo.
Don't pay more than 1 K for 1 hour in the venue.
Don't pay more than 1,5 K (my suggestion) for pernoite.
IMAGINE how unaffordable the prices will be if the Real goes back to trade 1 USD = 3 BRL? Out of the blue you're paying USD 500 for 1 hour.
MY CONCLUSION AND TIP.
In the end I don't like Scandallo, I go there only in the afternoons as most other houses are closed. For some reason I don't go to termas, don't know why to be fair, maybe I should try.
I also go there because you get to see some Unicorn 10's, but then I get annoyed because they know perfectly well they are 10's and they want to be paid their weight in gold or something.
I would suggest you to go to any other luxury boate at the 300 BRL pricepoint (apart from Bahamas which is a shithole).
Casarão in rua Augusta is also good. You need to be vaccinated before you go there almost. You need to ignore the fact that that group there in the corner with 5 guys is clearly the top branch of a local drug cartel, not every night is good. But for a 30/50 BRL entry fee you can go there 10 different days before you reach Scandallo prices. And in Casarão you find that girl that doesn't know what she is doing, that just arrived to São Paulo, and is a true diamond in the rough. Act quickly though, because others also realise that.

I have a tip for those mongers who don't mind traveling far for only one venue: at the time of writing FKK Sharks near Frankfurt is better. The Sharks line-up will be as good if not better than Scandallo's, the cover charge will include all the food (at least as good as Scandallo's pretentious inferior food) you can eat, and eating and drinking surrounded by naked women on high heels is infinitely more arousing than crouching in Scandallo's dark-room restaurant with everyone dressed up like for a degree ceremony. The rooms are included in the cover charge at Sharks, once you're in you only pay for the girls and alcoholic drinks.

I would never travel overseas just to go to one club, but if I did and the two choices were Sharks or Scandallo there's no question about which one I would choose. Scandallo is a much more upscale place with way hotter women who perform off the charts (personally never had a bad session there)! The other thing to consider is that a lot of those women are supermodel level. I get the price is high, but quite frankly I can't fuck women like that for less than 1000 an hour in Australia and they do not perform anything near what these Brazilian women do.
Lastly, the overall experience is fantastic. Food is good, the club is amazing, the rooms are good, the staff are great and the amount of women is insane.
I can understand why people order a bottle, when I was there with friends we drink whiskey and we ended up doing the same. Same at Bomboa.
