It has a pedestrian mall called El Conde that is great for walking or just hanging out. It has several nice parks to hangout and people watch while sipping a beer. Park Colon, park Cervantes and park Enriquez are all good to post up during the day. The malecon is lively and the hotels are nice with the casinos and live music. Plus you don't need a car for any of this, it's all within a 15 minutes walk. The street tricks are full of games but sometimes you find a new gem on El conde but be careful. Pacos, Fenix, Segazona and Romas are good spots to have a drink, or meal. All in Zona Colonial.

The problem with Zona Colonial is that accommodations has gotten expensive now that tourism is up. In the middle of the shut down I rented my penthouse for 850 usd a month. Now as tourism is increasing the same penthouse has gone up to 1300 usd a month. I'm not paying that much so I went to Gasque, which is next to Zona Colonial and found something more reasonable.

The area you are staying in is very nice. Blue mall is the upscale mall, mega central is the local mall but farther away. I like Agora and Sambil they are also not far from you.

Tinder I can't comment on because I don't need it but I've used it in the past for other countries so maybe it will work for you.

Good luck.[/QUOTE]Depending on how long the Pandemic lasts and when Asia fully opens up (and Thailand may never really be the same) I predict that Zona Colonial will be all super high end condos and Hotels only. I do know a guy who's staying there and found a deal through a real estate agent but you can pay half the price in Gazcue or Buena Vista even Piantini is cheaaper than the Zone.

That being said being able to walk down to Paco's or the Cigar bar on the opposite end and snatch up a newbie making her el conde debut and whisking her back to your spot is life on easy mode. Gazcue is kinda it's own eco system you can go down to the malecon and do the same thing but it's not the same as El Conde.

To the average weekend warrior and especially a new guy I'd stay in an hotel or Airbnb as close to El Conde as possible and branch out to Gazcue, Buenavista, Piantini and El Million as you gain experience and develop your rotation. It's quite possible to find a chica on El Conde who will gladly hook you up with dozens of Chicas who live in Las Americas and San Chirstobal. In fact with experience you can breakfast at Paco's and catch the Day shift of Maid / hookers coming right off the bus from San Christobal.

The DR as a country understood the assignment as the whole world shut down they stayed open and actually managed to increase tourism during the pandemic. Viva La Republica Dominicana!

Well a number of things. I lived there before so I know it. They speak English. They have a good retirement visa for military vets. I would not think of the PI for big chested women Kup you are my main man you need to explain this one. I did 8 trips this year and the curfew was tough. On weekends things were shut down at 5 pm.
