Correct.
Most bottled mineral waters sold in Western Europe are subjected to less rigorous tests than tap water, and yet the price per litre is about 1, 000 times higher.
In other continents the situation is different. I can only speak for Indonesia, but even in remote kampungs drinking water is sold in bottles with warnings on the seal not to buy the bottle if the seal is broken. Bottled water is not expensive in Indonesia, even for Indonesians, and if anybody still can't afford it, they make it themself by boiling water.
Nobody drinks water straight from rivers or canals.
Regards,
Ko
Gents,
The best bottled water I know is Arrow head pure quality mountain spring from the Rockies mountain. Even with that, they are not expensive to buy from the store. The water from rivers and canals are very dangerous to drink these days because people pollute heavily. Most of tap water in California come from the Sierra mountain snow pack in the winter.
Let the guy read through this stuff to get to what he wants? True but we are talking about SEA water right now. A few years back in S. F. There was a major water company that since merged with some others that had a huge contract to supply bottle water to the city offices. A study was done on the water coming from Crystal Springs nearby and they concluded this water was cleaner than any of the water being sold or delivered including Avian supposely from the mountains. In study people pay more for bottle water than for gas. I had a guy here in Pattaya that says he drinks only mineral water and will pay more but goes down each night to Beach road to get his pussy? But in the end, I wouldn't drink the water even if I was staying in a five star hotel from the tap!
Football, I believe the place right outside Nana Hotel shows NFL, the games are usually tape delay. Right now. Houston is in. And Detroit is winning over N. O. 14/10, Go Niners!
By the way anyone know where to get 4 ply Charmin? Or course in Bangkok?
Would love to see the playoffs and not miss them! Thanks
Go to American Tavern on Soi 2 near NEP. It is across the street from Rajah Hotel and 7-11. They show all the games live.

If you're a die-hard NFL fan you can subscribe to their league Pass and watch all the games whenever you want on your TV, computer or both but it is a bit pricey.

Get all the football games, and for that matter, all the sports at the free European web site firstrow. Tv

I used to stay in a budge hotel in Bangkok where I invariably got a gut infection within 24 hours of arrival. I managed to narrow it down to the water which I only used to wash my teeth.
Would love to see the playoffs and not miss them! Thanks
Try the Office bar on Soi 33, he plays all sports all the time and also somedelayed telecasts he tapes.
Yes, this is a good place to watch the playoffs. Good breakfast, too. The owner will even open up the bar at 4 AM to watch the games if you ask him nicely. He is a Eagles fan. Tell him The Packer Fan said Hi and GO PACKERS! REPEAT!

Bottom line: never drink the tap water no matter where you travel. If I were European visiting Miami, I would not drink the tap water. As an American visiting Europe, I won't drink the tap water. 30 million years ago on my first trip outside the States which lasted 6 months; a friend and I drove down to Mexico and Central America. We had a gas. I drank the water and ate local street food and got sicker than a dog for about a week. After that I was inoculated and could eat and drink anything. But the week I was sick was rough. I don't advise doing what I did. If you are travelling for just a week or even a couple of months, it is not worth it to get yourself localized. Don't drink the tap water and that means ice cubes too unless it is a 5 star hotel or restaurant with its own filtration system.

My comments had nothing to do with the building or storage tank. The water being deliver to the city offices were water bottle 5 gallons. A test was done to verify the claim by city workers that the pipes in the building were dirty and regardless of how good the water was coming from the Hetch Hetchy to Crystal Springs then to theCity once out of the pipes it was dirty. They did a extensive test to the bottle water and the water coming out of the pipes in City Hall and the water was cleaner coming out of the pipes. Afte the test some supervisor suggested that the city should start selling bottle water? The contract with Alhambra water a major supplier of water for the City was cancel and thereafter Mckessen sold the company and thereafter became Arrow Head? Or Sierra? As for water coming straight from the mountains or springs or whatever to the tap is false! It still got to got through a form of filtration process.

LBM
Gents,
As in the case of Arrow head water, the company is very old Est. 1894 from the old west and obviously everbody likes Arrow head bottled water. There are thousand bottled water company in California and they are Not that popular like Arrow head. Why the Arrow head is the best? The Arrow head water is just pure great quality spring water from the Rockies mountain, and ofcourse the water must go through the purified processing plants before bottled. The Sierra snow pack is for the tap water only and still needs purified before pumping into city water pipe. However, people like to drink bottled water because they think that is safe and taste better than tap.
Thank you all for your ideas on catching a cab from the "departure" section on the 4th floor of the suvarnabhoomi international airport!
We easily got a cab, and costed us only about THB250 plus 2 tolls of about THB 30 each. The destination was Conrad hotel on "wireless Road / vitaayu road" near the sukumvit area!
This was much cheaper than the "airport taxi" counters inside the "arrival" lounge asking to pay THB600 for the one way trip!
Thanks once again,
Madto
On my second night, Partied a lot in a club called "Bossy"! Don't know which area. But all taxi drivers know it! The cover charge is 300THB per person and that includes one free drink. This is a place to easily pick up hookers from various different countries. And some of them were real stunners!
Specially this babe from Columbia who was classy and said that she has been an escort since the last 6 months only. She was about 5. 6 feet, fair, pretty eyes and sexy figure. The dress she wore was a cocktail type party dress with deep cleavage, which made her look very classy and sexy. Her charges were 3000thb for ST and 5000thb for LT. Sorry don't remember her name. But each and every passerby was looking at her and asking her (she was that pretty and sexy)
Unfortunately, I was unable to pick up these babes because of my wife traveling with me, otherwise the columbian was surely the perfect one. But would certainly recommend other forum members to keep a look out for her and enjoy!
Cheers
