New Garden is within 5 minutes walking distance of the main action strip and about 10 minutes from the beach. It does have a pretty decent pool, the room safe, fan and AC, and Wi Fi.
While I would characterize the atmospherics of the place as "lively" and a welcome relief from my staid, suburban existence is sex prison, I've heard others complain that the clientele can get too loud at times.
Hope this helps, cheers!
Last time I was in Sosua was Nov. 2010. I stayed at the Volomor which was great, but was quite a ways from the action. I'm thinking of the New Garden. I wonder how long of a walk to the main action? Also does it have it's own beach?
I'm very sad to hear that Classico is not the hot spot anymore. I really loved that place as it was a great freelance pick up spot.
The good news is the dollar to the peso is stronger now. My usual spots are Lima, and Colombia where the dollar has not done as well.
If you guys have any better ideas for a hotel I would like to know. My needs are simple, and basic. A room safe, ceiling fan (AC not important) , girl friendly, TV, and Wi Fi.
Thanks in advance, and a report will follow when I decide to pull the trigger.
