Well , next Tuesday, Feb. 8th, everything will be over, but the good news is, these pretty girls will be here all year round.

Nice pictures and cute girls. BAQ has tons of cute, available, girls but it is SUCH an unattractive (and HOT!) city that other than chasing chicas it is of little interest to me (though I DO want to surf the area near Puerto Colombia). I would like to catch Carnaval next year though (done Rio and BAQ is rated #2 for Carnaval). If taxis to adjacent cities wewren't so overpriced, one could lounge elsewhere then go to BAQ to meet chicas but 100KCP is steep for a 70 minute taxi ride.
Read in El Tiempo about the Salsa singer from Caracas who was the headliner for Carnaval who was arrested when he tried to leave the country after refusing to perform (claiming the promotoers failed to pay him an agreed advance).

I agree and disagree with you, where in Bquilla did you stay and where did you go?
Have you ever been by EL PRADO, CIUDAD JARDIN, BUENAVISTA or EL GOLF?
If you meant the ride from the Airport to your Hotel or EL CENTRO, well..... But have you ever gone from the Airport in LA to your Hotel? Downtown is usually unattractive in any city, take NY,Miami,LA,etc.
About the taxis overpriced, I agree with you, and it tends to get worse with gas prices constantly rising.

Surfer - no need to take a taxi from CTG to BAQ. There are auto rentados services that run between the cities, several times a day. Basically, an auto rentado is a mini-van where 6 passengers share the 150.000COP fare between the cities, meaning 25.000COP each way. Very safe (you register your ID for the trip, driver submits to MPs on military checkpoints), convenient (they come to your hotel and pick up the confirmed passengers at their residences), and timely (takes approx. 70-90 mins. total). You are dropped off where you you need to be in CTG/BAQ. Basically, same as a taxi, but much cheaper. I've taken them many times and would recommend them. Call before to confirm.
