Catire ... was wondering if you knew of any hotels in the city that were safe but not outrageously priced. Don't need luxurious at all ... just nice.
Normally I come to Caracas for work and they pay all accommadations, but I just met this Venezolana and want to come on my free time to see her.
Gracias.

define your price territory and define safe (do you mean geographical area) and it shouldn't be a problem.
Town full of so called "3 star" hotels of varying quality, most of them quite acceptable!
-
Catire,
I'm familiar with the Chacao and Las Mercedes area. Anywhere within 5-10 minute taxi to Sambil area would be fine with me.
By safe I mean 24 hour security guard and not in an area where I'm likely to get mugged in broad daylight.
Price range up to $50 or $60 a night.
I found one place on Ave Cassanova on Yahoo hotels internet for 70,000 Bol cada noche. Think Ave Cassanova is OK security wise?
Thanks

what's the name of the Casanova hotel?
which part? close to which metro station? (Pl. Venezuela, Sabana Grande or Chacaito?)
Casanova during the day is perfectly fine, a little dicier at night though I walk on it constantly without problems. but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone (walking around at night)
Casanova always full of taxis so that's not an isssue (getting around)
one place I saw on casanova worth checking out would be the Hotel Las Americas. it's just below Chacaito. I would suggest checking that place out.
Another place (actually two) would be the hotels above Chacaito, right by the El Doral American bar. There is a Hotel Savoy as you walk up to it (on Francisco Solano) AND there is what looks to be very fancy (but hopefully not TOO fancy)?) brand new Hotel Cumberland, on the other side of the street.
Those would be my top two/three recommendations other than a secret place which I won't give out here.
If you are planning on staying around the El Sambil, La Castellana area and hang out at Angelus, etc
and if your girls is from around there.
then I would check out the Hotel Montserrat just below Plaza Francia in Altamira.
It's not fancy, but very secure location and economical.
good luck.

Catire,
Muchas gracias por la informacion.
I appreciate the hotel tips. I'll check these hotels out when I get to Caracas.
The one I found on the internet is named Coliseo Hotel on Ave Cassanova.
I've got a friend who drives a cab in Caracas ... I'll have him pick me up at the airport and we'll investigate these hotels you've given.
Normally, in my free time I go to Medellin but damn if I didn't meet this sweet, beautiful Venezolana last week ... I need to spend some quality time with this one.
Also Catire ... a friend of mine said he went to a place called "Los Pinos". Basically a casa de chicas ... and he said the quality was pretty good and price fairly low. He went at night at about 10 pm so it's definitely open at night.
My buddy knows nothing about Caracas so he doesn't know what section of the city it's in or anything. He said the Venezuelan said it was a nicer section of the city and it was in a residential area. About 40 minute drive at 9pm from Maiquetia.
Have you heard of this place?
Once again ... thanks.
-
I stayed at El Coliseo on my first trip to Caracas as a tourist.
You can do MUCH better than that place.
Check out the hotels I told you to look at.
Have not heard of Los Pinos.
if it's 40 minutes at 9pm it sounds like it's OUTSIDE of Caracas.
I can be in Chacaito in 30 mins at that time (no traffic)
-
Thanks Catire,
Think I'll check out your hotel suggestions with El Coliseo as a backup.
I'll call this Venezuelan guy who took my buddy to Los Pinos and try to get out there and give a report.
I'm thinking of exploring Venezuela a bit more in December ... I have a few weeks.
In your opinion, what towns / cities would be best for both pro action and non-pro gazing?
Some Venezuelan friends say Maracay, Puerto la Cruz, Merida ... but again, they don't know that I also like to visit Pro-establishments (my friends are married couples giving me advice together).
Thanks again.
-
Your friends are correct.
P4P might not be too good in those places (but find yourself a good cabbie).
If you're in Maracay, hit Choroni on the weekend.
p.s. There is a reason your friends never mention any P4P. That is because they know that unless you have serious blueballs and scare them off, you will get to meet women, if you are a decent looking guy. They lactually ike Americans (shocking but true) and there is such a volume of hotties that hooking up is considered like shooting fish in a barrel (though this might not mean hot nasty sex right away).
Most hookers that I talked to were absolutely shocked that I didn't have a Venezuelan girlfriend.

I am considering spending a few months living in SA learning spanish and culture with Venezuela and Ecuador being on top of my list right now. Once in Panama I ran into a group of Venezuleanas and what a beautiful group of females that was!
Does anyone have any info on Puerto la Cruz, or Caracas, or Merida in that respect? I am 30, and mostly looking to hook up with nonpros. Are they receptive towards gringos? I've heard the standard of living in V is pretty high, does this mean the girls are stuck up. Any experiences? Any advice is appriciated. I in turn will post detailed reports when I go.
I am also considering Ecuador for quality of spanish and low cost of living/safety, but know nothing about what the girls are like there. I should post in E section but if you can give comparison here I would appriciate that as well.
Again, thanks all.

Ecuadorian women can't hold a candle to Venezuelan.
If you bring cash at change on black market, Venezuela might even be cheaper than Ecuador these days. In fact, I would bet that it is.
Re Venezuela
30's a good age. You will do fine with non pros. Gringoess is actually an advantage. Being fit/muscular helps. Blue/green eyes widely admired, light hair helps as well.
Some girls stuck up but most are not.
Go and spend time in Merida. It's dirt cheap and home to the University of the Andes.

What about travel warnings to Venezuela, are those a big concern, in case political cituation changes rapidly while I am there...? I am also considering Argentina but I hear the regular girls are kind of stuck up there.
Thanks Catire. I don't know what would men do without this board.

La Guaira - Maiquetia.
Hello amigos.
I've heard that there is a new hotel by the Simon Bolivar Airport called the Hampton Inn.
I am planning to make a one night stop at Venezuela and I will like more info about the "scene" at la Guaira.
1. Does anybody know if the hotel is Chica friendly and if so, if you have to tip at the reception to allow girls in?
2. If not Chica friendly, can anybody recommend a hotel in la Guaira (close to the airport) that IS chica friendly?
3. Do you know of any Call Girls (escorts or massage) services that delivers to La Guaira?. Any information in this area is greatly appreciated.
Expect by the end of the month my Travel Report on la Guira.
B. Regards.
Mr. Chencho

Mr Chencho,
There used to be an angency that advertised in El Universal for that area but in checking today, they were no longer there. I have not had any bad experiences about bringing girls back to your room any where in Venezuela, except for some hotels looking for a guest fee. The CCCT doesn't like visitors after 10 PM. But, if you go up together, there is normally no problem.
My suggestion is ask the bellman, if that doesn't work, use the taxi drivers (the guys at the airport might be of good use along with the money vendors.)
There should be somewhere because the cruise ships stop there. Can comment on the quality. You might be seeing mostly girls who service sailors. La Guiara is not really a tourist destination but more of working town.
Last resort, go up to Caracas. It will take 20 to 30 minutes each way. The cost should be less than 20 USD RT.

I realize this is very subjective, but can somebody who has been to Rio and/or Buenos Aires, give me a comparison with Caracas? In Rio or Buenos Aires, once you learn the ropes, you have the choice of hundreds of beautiful chicas for $20-$70 per session, with GFE a good possibility if desired. Anything comparable to the HELP DISCO or the Termas or platynum.com.ar in Caracas? Have been to most other locations, trying to decide if Venezuela is worth a visit or if I should stick with the old stomping grounds. I speak fluent Spanish, know how to get around and get over, and am in my 30's. THANKS!!

Chuponalgas,
Here is my opinion. There is no place else in Latin America that has anything exactly like the termas in Rio. You get close in Sao Paulo but that is still Brazil.
In Caracas, you have Morrison, I would say this is a smaller Help or more like Blacks or Playwoman in B. A.
The girls in Caracas are beautiful and with devaluation more affordable. Prior to this, I would say you were looking at $100/hour but now you can get by for 1/2 or 1/3 of that cost, especially for multiple hours.
If I was looking for a place to see alot of girls, for a reasonable price, and GFE, I would look to Peru. I think it is the best value in Latin America.
I also have been reading alot about Guatamala. It looks intrigueing.
Just my two cents.
