Not much about Berlin but it has the most information on where to find action in general.

They use a lot of slang though so standard school German may not cut it.

If you aren't finding reports either on this forum or on the German language forums its because you are going to the conservative south.

There is activity everywhere in Germany but it is at its best (and at its most affordable) in Hessen and NRW (Nordrhein Westfalen).
