well i'll give you my opinion. i've been to thailand 4/5 times and got bored of it, so i tried bali. bali wasn't too bad, but you have to try a bit harder to get what you want. there's no go go bars or beer bar type seen. in the main there are the bars/clubs which don't usually get going till 1am in the morning. with these bars/clubs there not that much choice and the working girls just tend to stick to a few. the ones with the most tourists.

girls expect and want more than in thailand but if you stick to your guns they will come down eventually. cost of living is very cheap and i think the hotels are even cheaper. i usually go for a 4 star hotels. in my opinion thai girls are better looking but you can still find some lookers in bali.

overall i'd say try it for a change of scenery. it's pretty easy to get by and the language, food and safety is no problem.

These are long and short time prices, it really depends on you negotiating skills. As to the 250,000. Let me tell you for a local the price is even less say 150,000 so they are doing better out of you of course. Its always good to tip about 50,000 but even then it had better be good service. And as to Big Kev. I'm an aussie too :)

Of the 250K, a huge part will go to the taxidriver. So if you go there by yourself, 150K is a decent price. Better give the girl a handsome tip if she deserves it, that will be for herself. And maybe that will make you feel better :)
