Can any tell me the going rate for a apartment a/c wi/fi per month between soi bouycow and third road. staying 3-5 months, does not have to be big. Standard apartment with a few extra's.
I think a studio runs 4000-8000 a month. For the higher end you might be able to find a 1 bedroom. Wifi, electric, and water may or may not be included + many times you'll need to give a 1 month deposit. One option to find a place is to go to a real estate agent and tell them what you want, tell them how much you want to pay, and see what they offer. Here's one place to help get an idea of some things available, but there's ton of apartments out there. http://www.soidb.com/en/pattaya/stay/apartment/index.html
I have had a few friends stay at The Pasadena Lodge and they enjoyed the place. I stayed at the Billabong which right close to it and it was a real dump. LK Metro area has its own action and quite nice. To me it is not all that far from W/S. Practically a straight walk to beach rd in less then 10 minutes and u can hop a bt bus down to W/S. When I stayed in the LK Metro area the last trip I only made it down to W/S one time because there was enough going on in the LK area for me to indulge in. Just my two satang
Thanks mate

Stayed there
I found this sawasdee sea view hotel on booking.com for 600 B per night, address is soi 10, pattaya 2nd road. I emailed them, they say they dont charge if a girl joins but would like to see ID. Anyone stayed there? Any reviews?
I am also thinking about Pasadena in soi LK Metro. (is it too far from walking street and main action?) Price is 700 B per night, their superior is 1000 B.
any other good choices upto 1000 B per night? Any hotel where guys mostly stay and I can find a drinking partner. I am travelling alone this time as my friend made the common mistake of getting married and now stuck with his wife.
The rooms are small but ok staff ok short walk to the beach girl friendly they have many sawasdee properties the one on 2nd was v-good value before it has a pool.

Three hotel reviews
Just back from two weeks in Pattaya. I stayed at the following hotels:
Siam Bayview: it is located on Beach Road close to Central Festival shopping center. Very good facilities: bars, restaurants, pool, massage, gym etc. The rooms are quite big, but the bathrooms are looking a bit worn and in need of renovation. I paid 3075 per night including breakfast, but Wifi is not included and runs up to around 500 baht per day. Would not return, too pricey for the quality you get.
J&P Court: located in Soi Lengkee between 2nd and 3rd Road. Only 10 minutes walk to the beach. The hotel itself is basic: no bar, restaurant etc, but plenty of eating and drinking places in the area. Rooms are spacious with bed, TV, wardrobe and bathroom with shower. Nice pool area. Free WiFi in reception. Very loyal customer base: some of the residents have stayed there for years, and others return again and again. Price is 700 baht per night, which is good value for money (650 for long stays).
Nova Platinum: located in South Pattaya only a 5 minute stroll from Walking Street. Very nice rooms with flat-screen TV, WiFi, in-room safe, walk-in shower and very comfortable bed. Restaurant, bar, gym, spa. Very nice pool area. I paid 1300 baht per night excluding breakfast, and I think that was very good value for money. Would definitely return.

Agreed....
I agreed with this opinion as I had a lot of actions the last time I stayed at Pasadena Lodge. To me it is a perfect location as I have the famous Devil's Den on one side and a great BJ bar on another; with many bar beers nearby.
I have just returned from my Cherry trip to Angeles and had a great time. I am now reading the Pattaya forum as I am planning my next trip to Pattaya (hopefully in October unless the security in the country become worst).
Cheers

His Jacuzzi Suite cost him 33,000 Baht per night. For a month that would be close to 1M Baht. This did include 1 free breakfast and free wi-fi.

You SURE the numbers are correct? I don't think it's POSSIBLE to spend 33K BAHT (that's a bit over $1000 US) per night. 10K, maybe...IF you have an unlimited amout of stupidity... (even a suite at the Marriot is about 8K max
You SURE the numbers are correct? I don't think it's POSSIBLE to spend 33K BAHT...
It is possible, at The Zign Hotel (Extreme Royal Suite rate is THB 35,000 there) for instance, or at the Sheraton Pattaya Resort (Balmy Villa's Experience: 1 bedroom villa, including butler service, private pool, sweet sleeper bed, separate lounge dining bedroom, etc.): I've just checked their rate for one night in June and it's THB 28,000.00 + charges & taxes = THB 32,956.00. I'm pretty sure that several other hotels have some exclusive suites in this price range.

Well if they include breakfast and wi-fi I guess that justifies the price.
-
For that price I could spend a month (the cost for ONE NIGHT) where I usually stay - even less at some "lesser" places. I looked at their price list - come in low season and save 1/2 off. North of the dolphins, on the beach ... no wonder I never heard of them.
Oh well, I guess I'm just not hi-so enough. :)
Well if they include breakfast and wi-fi I guess that justifies the price.
The unbelievable fact that some idiots spend this kind of money justifies the price. It may well double or triple. No problem for me. I can still find a very nice new small Hotel for 700 Baht, which leaves me 32300 for breakfast and wifi.

Not to mention getting laid around 50 times with the remaining funds.

I've stayed at a few of the sawasdee hotels (its a chain hotel) and the hotels are rather old. The rooms are dated and fading fast.
Note: almost all hotels in Patts are GF. The better ones ask for lady ID--for your safety of course, but some don't and I recall all my Sawasdee hotel stays never ask for ID or even looked at anyone who walked in.--good if you are the shy type but bad for your security.
