Brazil / Colombia for 5 months.
Five months in South America. November '22 thru March '23.
These are simply my experiences and viewpoints. Your or others experiences may be completely different.
Background so it puts things in perspective. Well traveled and well experienced in our sport. Wrong side of 60, I do not speak conversational Spanish and speak almost no Portuguese. I stay in Airbnb's that allow guests. I have been traveling to Colombia for (guessing) 10 years. I have made 3 extended trips to Brazil in the past year. Spent 2 two months in Medellin, then flew to Sao Paulo for 2 months, then back to Medellin for 3 weeks. I prefer to spend time with my dates rather than the 1 hour quick appointments. I don't disregard the quick smash altogether, but longer encounters are my preference.
Medellin: Yes, it's changed dramatically over the past 10 years with the influx of tourist and like minded hobbyist. I see the criticisms of Medellin and certainly agree with many. Medellin now takes a bit more effort than it did in years prior, but should hardly be passed over as a destination. The first time visitor may initially be disappointed with the immediate availability of talent. However, with effort on Facebook, there is a treasure trove of young talented woman. There are still many point and shoot options in Medellin, but not nearly as many as before. Not looking for any arguments, but in my opinion, Medellin is the place to go if you are searching for the more part-time 18-25 year old talent.
My current Facebook ({which is dedicated to Medellin only) has me at 3700 "friends". I have accumulated those over the past 10 years. I have around 5 male friends and the rest are. Talent. I have no idea how many of those are still active. But my point is, amass a friends list and the talent you will be rewarded with will be outstanding. No, I won't share my Facebook with anyone.
Medellin is also, in my opinion, much less expensive than Sao Paulo. I have not experienced enough of Rio yet to give a complete comparison point of view. Rio was initially off my list, but after a brief visit in February, I will return!
I spent most of my time with a 21 year old over the months I was in Medellin. Met her on Facebook of course. Had no other gringo "friends" on Facebook. For those that like the big butts, big boobs, she would not be your type. Other than having the typical Colombian look, I would describe her as having more of an Asian (Thai) body. The girl loves to give head. We'll be out in a restaurant or mall and she'll say in English, I want to suck you. Oh, and yes, she is attractive in my opinion. Very attractive. For comparison, I spent a lot of time in Sao Paulo. I have spent many nights in the top clubs. She would easily be in the top 10% of the talent pool at Scandallo.
Bottom line, if you are not getting the performance you want in Colombia, you are not putting in the effort. You will not get the GFE / PSE performance of the hard core workers, but the hidden talent is amazing. I suspect with some effort and after a few trips you too will have a talent pool worth returning to over and over.
Sao Paulo: I was there in January and February. Met some decent like minded travelers but didn't get to hang out with them much.
I have a lot to say about Sao Paulo but will keep it brief. I again prefer the longer "dates".
First, Sao Paulo (SP from now on) is much more expensive than Medellin.
The talent pool in SP is wide a varied, however in MY experience the talent is both thicker in body type and mostly 25 and older. YES, there are younger and thinner gals, but overall that's my viewpoint. In fact the woman on twitter often post work out routines and they include squatting. They tend to want the thicker upper legs and thicker butts.
Daytime talent. SP has Medellin beat hands down on daytime places to visit. However, walking into these places does not guarantee you finding a gal of your taste. SP is a big city and with that there many guys in these places. Often the roster will have 10-15 girls working, with only a few available at any given moment. Daytime places can be inexpensive, but you will need to hunt. Someone mentioned Club 57 recently. In my opinion the girls were average at best. Never saw that girl I had to have. Was always approached by the aggressive ones. Hard to get rid of at times. Never sessioned there but hung out some nights just to have an early evening beer. Beers were about $6.00 USA.
Night time clubs generally get going around midnight.
Scandallo opens much earlier and is less expensive to enter early. I have read the reports of amazing talent at Scandallo. Initially that first moment is WOW. That will wear off after a dozen visits. The number of girls on site at peak time is in the 100's. But there will usually be as many men on site. I have seen fat, ugly and fat and ugly woman walking around. Not all are goddesses. With that said, you should find your type. After dozens of visits it got old for me. As others have said you go for the "experience". Can't agree more.
Casarao It's actually, what I was told, was the first night club of it's type in SP. I visited often because of it's low entrance fee. Through out the night the ratio of men to woman would vary. The girls will dress a bit more conservative (less formal). I suspect those guys that visit the place on a two week or less time span will see what they like. I however totally disagree with the ratio of men to woman. Frequently I saw the ratio of men to woman greater than 3-1, men to woman. I went on a Saturday night and at 1 am the place was packed with easily 5-1 men to woman. Granted, there are guys that just come in groups to have a beer and clog up the place, but they are still occupying the girls with small talk.
I hit several other clubs, all of which have been mentioned over and over. Prices are negotiable in the night time clubs.
I found my two favorites and paid them $200 USA For the night. Spent many days / nights with both. I used to like "the hunt". Now I prefer dinner, drinks, Netflix and that morning shag.
There are some "locals" clubs in the seedy areas of the city. I don't have names or addresses at hand, but if you have a wingman who speaks Porto, worth exploring. Just Uber to the front door and Uber out the front door. One club not mentioned much anymore is Connections. It's a long ass Uber ride at night so I never went. Next trip I will get a hotel close by and spend the night in the area. Heard it's owned by same person as Scandallo, so may have some hidden talent from the local area.
Did a side trip to Iguazo Falls. Spent three nights to do the tourist thing. I didn't think there would be any decent talent in the local clubs and waited until the last night to visit Crystals Club. There are 2 other clubs in the smaller city per an Uber driver. I arrived at Crystals around 9 if my memory serves me. 20-25 woman and 2 or 3 guys. Got approached by of course the less attractive gals but damn, there were 2 or 3 hot gals in the club. I was smitten and I had just spent tow months in Medellin and a month in SP. I was in the mood to do some drinking and partying so ended up doing just that with a few of the talent. Never got around to sampling anything. One girl topped anything in Scandallo. She made her availability known to me on several close encounter walk-bys, but I was usually engaged with another. Two or 3 spoke English. They have an amazing outside area with a pool to take your prospect out to and drink / negotiate. On Saturday's they have "pool" day where the girls apparently are in swimwear.
I strongly considered flying back for a few days but never did. The ratio of men / woman never got over 2 woman for every 1 guy. Much better than anything in SP. I certainly could have gotten lucky on my one visit to the place with the talent being outstanding. So if you happen to go, it was just the one visit.
Rio. I only spent two nights there right after the Carnival ended. It was peaceful and a fantastic change from the big urban cement city of SP. I will return to explore. I actually took my favorite gal from SP to Rio. Wanted a (pretty) wingman to do the tourist stuff. Paid her $100 USA Per day plus food / drinks / tourist crap of course. Worth every cent. She is considered thin in Brazil, model type body. Tall and without curves. Long legged like I like. Her body type is far and few in SP.
Bottom line. My opinion. For shorter trips and with some effort Medellin is still the go to place. SP is that much more time to get to and much more expensive. I saw guys throwing some serious cash around in Medellin and they certainly had the talent paying attention. My gut feeling is Rio has a lot more to do during the day when you are not chasing tail. Darker skinned gals are more available. Was having my morning coffee at Starbucks and an obvious working girl was observed leaving an apartment next door. A drop dead 10. Dark skinned, model thin, gorgeous. OMG hot. Rio is high on my next trip.
