Of course Immigration depends on where you come in, when you come in, and how many other flights are in at the same time. Last week my flight got in to Terminal 3 at 8 pm and I was in a taxi by 8:15. The time before that I came in to Terminal 1 and was in line well over 1 hour. There is always LA Cafe 24 hours.
Yes, LACAFE is certainly a reliable choice. You can also try by wechat by the time you are waiting for customs and baggage at the airport. I arrived around midnight and immigration cleared us in 10 minutes. Multiple lines and multiple officers, we moved on very quick.

How was the contest, Mr. E?
Chick I met at LA Cafe the other day told me they have a Miss LA Cafe contest today. I asked her what time it starts so that I can pass on the info. She said before 6. I said it starts at 6? She said no, before 6. I said so it starts at 5? She said yes. Just shoot me!
Funny story.
First time posting to this page because I am heading over in a few days. But I impressed myself so much last night that I wanted to share it. I had bank account problems last night so called my bank. Worked out that the customer service girl was from Phils from her accent. Told her I was coming in a few days and gave her my WhatsApp and asked her to add me. She just did and she is out of this world looking. Of course she will have used her best pic. But we have organised to meet and who knows what will happen. Happy hunting.
The Xiamen Airlines plane that skidded off the runway caused an almighty clusterfuck.
Here is a pic soon after the airport re-opened.
Looks like a normal day at that airport to me. What's different about it? LOL enjoy the Philippines.

So there's action around 1-2 am, I'm not going to be pinned where all the good ones got scooped up earlier and I'm left to pick table scraps?
Shouldn't have issues with luggage in an actual hotel room separate from session hotel room?

Those chicks always get a kick when I tell them Salamat Po at the end of the call. Never thought about trading contact info with any of them.

Now, let me see. Messing around with a girl who has superuser access over my financial account and my personal details. Think credit report. Personally, I would not touch that with a ten foot pole. But that is just me thinking with my big head and sober.

I thought I posted something but here goes again. If you take your carry on and valuables with you, you might be able to keep it on premise at the bar as in under the table. Though I have never seen that but I don't see why you cannot. If you find something, book a room on line and take a grab cab (pre-load the app and credit card). I would suggest staying close to the airport and take the girl LT if you find the right one. Check where your flight leaves from and if the hotel has a shuttle or just a walk away. Traffic can be bad in the morning.
The advantage is that you won't spend on a hotel unless you need to. If you are unsuccessful, you can clean up at an airport lounge.

Why would you risk such a scenario based on a picture only?
It's potentially dangerous because she has the means to complicate your life unnecessarily.

Hotel next to LA Cafe
US Citizen never been to Asia, Tokyo NRT-MNL lands at 11:40 pm, next morning MNL-SIN flight resumes at 10 am.

I wasn't ready to write this part of my report yet, but in order to help a brother I will skip ahead. I must say though that I am not sure why you would need separate hotels when you are only staying in Manila a few hours.
Last Friday I checked out of my hotel in Ermita at 1 pm. My flight to Thailand was not until 6:30. A massage chick that I met on WeChat had been with me all morning. I had already planned to spend a couple of hours at LA Cafe before heading to the airport. So I walked up to LA Cafe with my things (backpack, recycled shopping bag). When I got inside I placed my things on the floor next to the table behind the door then I went to sit at a good table where my things were still in view. I ordered some chicken and a cider.
While eating my food, there were some chicks across from me talking shit. Neither of them were my type so I did not pay them much mind., but still joked back and forth. Then another chick comes and joins them. Now this chick was my type! I talked a little shit with her while finishing my meal. When I finished I asked to see her phone. She gave it to me. I looked at the whatsapp messages from other guys then I added myself to her phone book and sent a whatsapp message from her phone to myself.
I told her that next time I am in Manila I would see her. I told her that I wanted to stay at her place though. She is from Davao and said she only has bedspace in Manila. She stays at a place across from LA Cafe in a room with 12 other girls! I was drained from fucking my massage chick so I was really not up for anything. But then I started thinking and thinking. I have a pocket full of cash and I really don't want the anxiety later that I should have fucked this chick.
She kept trying to get me to take her but I kept trying to tell them that I honestly did not have a room. They told me there are rooms next door for 600 pesos for 3 hours or like 1000 for 1 day. I told them I didn't even have 3 hours to spare. Fuck it. This chick was tall and did not even look Filipina. She looked like she had to be mixed with Arab or Indian. Funny thing is without me even telling her that, she told me that people always think she is Arab or Indian, but her parents are both Filipino.
Push came to shove and I asked her how much she wanted. She said 2000. I laughed and said 1000. She said let's go! So heading out the door I gather my things and said, "What? Did y'all think I was lying about not having a place?" We went next door to the hotel. I told the lady that I only needed the room for 1 hour, but she said the minimum charge is for 3 hours. So I handed her 1000 pesos. She gave me 400 change. We followed the bellhop up to the room. I was paying no attention and do not even have any idea what floor it was on.
It was a basic apartment overlooking M.H. del Pilar with a living room and a kitchen and a separate bedroom. The guy turned on the AC and left. We took showers and got down to the deed fucking like rabbits. I took another shower before leaving her alone in the room. I told her that I would definitely see her again next time. I went downstairs and told the lady the girl was still in the room and would leave later. She asked what room. I said I have no idea. Then I went out to call a Grab.
Shit. It would have been better to just get a normal taxi. The wait time on Grab was 8 minutes. And somehow that turned into at least 20. There was a chick outside who was rather pretty, but her bottom teeth were rotted out. She kept trying to get me to go fuck. I kept telling her that I just finished. I asked and what are you doing out here instead of trying to look for someone inside of LA Cafe. She said that she had gotten banned for fighting. I said wow and told her that I have never seen any fighting or even arguments in there. Finally the Grab came and I was on my way to NAIA Terminal 3. I think it was 344 pesos plus the skyway toll of 45 pesos.
So there you are fellow American. Just head over to LA Cafe and get one of those cheap rooms next door for your few hours stay.

Please tell me that it is not a striped recycled Filipina shopping bag. I am sure we can pass the hat around and get you a normal colored one at least. I think we punters should have a minimum standard! LOL

Where to after Manila
I'm looking to try somewhere new after Manila and Cebu.
Where are people mongering on the way to or from MNL?
I've been to Thailand and Indonesia but would be open to relive my early days in Asia: a few less luxuries compensated by $10 girls and an unspoilt atmosphere.
Madagascar seems like and option, maybe Venezuela.
Anyone have any other options??
