Yes it is practically a ghost town at night. The only thing I'm fearful of is the rats, LOL. I will only take a cab if I really have to or with others who insist. I usually walk to the other end of Rio Branco and either take the train if it's still running or a bus. Nothing wrong with taking a cab, especially if you don't feel comfortable in the area or you're a newbie. Anyways, again good report sir.
