Mainhattan has a homely feel to it for me, I am known there, the staff are welcoming. I just wish the bar staff were attentive and actually served the guests drinks. I expect it is Mainhattan's way of saving money by making it as hard as possible for customers to be served a drink.

These are the two things that would make Sharks pretty much THE CLUB for the customers we concluded. Once again others may have their opinion and this is just ours as discussed with some Frankfurt men.

1. DJ. World has great DJ nights on Fridays and Saturdays. Mainhattan's DJs get the girls hitting the rood with their mad dancing on Fridays and Saturdays, Samya is renown for the bar top dancing every night of the week it seems. Even Oase has a DJ on Saturday night.

Sharks has an atmosphere that can be compared to an airport departure lounge with forlorn lonely men avoiding looking at all the other men. There is not so much stimulus from the girls.

If Sharks added a DJ and played some decent music that uplifted the atmosphere then there would be a combination.

2. Free beer. It is World and Mainhattan that have the reputation amongst people that I know with the best feeling amongst the guests and sense of fun. It is because of the free beer. The men like the free beer. At Oase it costs for the beer and also at Sharks and Palace. If Sharks could bring in free beer then that option will kill the competitiveness that World and Mainhattan has over Sharks.

These two factors will vastly improve the Sharks experience especially now that the line up is getting consistently good.

Sometimes World DJ overdoes the song blending to my conservative nature. I am just starting to enjoy the intro to song, and it suddenly changes to something else LOL.

Today I had almost a problem at Sharks. Was ready to leave and in a huge hurry as did not want to miss the direct train from Darmstadt Nord to Frankfurt which runs every 2 hours. On leaving the receptionist girl who checks drinks expenditure was not there and there was no-one substituting. I was asked to wait a minute. She had gone to the toilet. I never buy any drinks at all. I was trying to explain to them that I do not have a few minutes to spare and either they would have to like it or lump it. I needed to leave. Fortunately after only 1 minute she returned. I was slightly late for the train, despite jogging the whole way to the station, but it fortunately was running slightly late too. My advice to everyone. Leave extra time. Don't cut it too fine and be in a hurry, especially if its a plane to catch.
