After 4 times Mtwapa, Kenya it was time for me to explore new venues. Friends of mine, black booty lovers like me, recommended Mada. I worked through the forum pages.

What put me off most times, were the expensive and cumbersome flights. To Nairobi I get always something in the region of 500 euros return. Well I settled for Air France s reasonable offer Venice-Paris-Tana return for 769 euros.

I arrived in Tana early morning with AF around 2 oclock in the morning, cleared Immigration hassle free 47 euros for 90 days visa on arrival.

What struck me, deepest provincial airport 6 international flights a DAY. Wow how retro. The taxi took me through barely lit, deserted streets, stray dogs etc. To my hotel. Relais de Normandie, 46500 AR a night, close to the train station.

The next morning I slept in, took a hearty breakfast 8000 AR in the hotel, recommended, then went to explore Tana on foot, bought orange sim card and some credit, and went looking for the famous glacier, which is now owned by chinese.

Around 11 in the morning there were already a few WGs around, although more high mileage types, not to my liking. Took a light lunch and went to check flights to Tulear at the air MAD head office. OMG you have to pull waiting numbers, I had about 50 people in front of me, worse than at the dentists.

I left went to a nearby travel agent, no waiting time and booked Tana-Tulear for 197 euros. I can tell you that for fucking I spent the least amount in Mada, the most for airfares, followed by restaurant bills, accommodation, the chicas were the cheapest.

In the evening I went looking for some nice chica to spend the night with. The SWs looked actually quite nice, but the light was bad, so I pulled a nice looking rasta chica, top body from Glacier.

She was actually from Ifaty. Very sweet personality, Mada chicas don't like to give BJs sometimes apparently they claim fady. Good standard fuck, doggy, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl missio.

These were the standards I encountered in Mada in general, offered 50000 AR in the morning, settled for 60000 AR. Good atmosphaere in Glacier, local band playing up, some dingy french expat types hanging about, love the atmosphaere.

Not much to do during the day, beggars and street vendors are a bit hassle, best ignore or say non, I start cursing them in German which they don't understand. I was offered "massage" even during the day, this is the mada euphemism for fucking.

But by absolutely dingy types. Next evening I went to Hotel de France brasserie for excellent food, after I went to cafe de la gare, highly recommended, nice athmosphaere, you get 2 mojitos for 2 !! Euros during happy hour, where I enjoyed a good puro cubano.

As I was still recovering from the flight, I didn't take a chica, so I did not check out the night life, which starts unfortunately very late around 2300 hrs.

I didn't make it to caveau or LE indra. Watch out 2 germans told me they were fleeced outside indra for not having ids 10000 AR.

Taxi in city centre is 5000 AR only. You can get by with basic french, although it limits your experience with the chicas, as you cannot converse with them, that said, there is plenty which speak only a few words french and only malgache.

I didn't wine and dine my chicas, I keep strictly to business, jiggy jiggy and then kick out in the morning, saves a lot of money.

I spent 3 days in Tana, more than enough, in relation it is expensive, the most I spent on the excellent restaurants.

As you say its expensive: would you mind to let us now prices now for a decent dinner and the hotels? If the prices didn't skyrocket since 6 months ago, then it should be at the moment an absolute deal with the low MGA against the EU. Not long ago you got 2900 - now its about 3300.

Did you pay the ticket in EU or did they hike up the price in MGA. Despite their promise to lower domestic fares of 20%.

Take away the flight, which you got for 750 EU which is an excellent deal, the other items are cheaper then in other monger countries like Thailand or Philipines.

In general about Air Mada, the cost of flight is the least of the problem. More of an issue is availability. If you enter the country on Air Mada looking to get the domestic discount, you run the risk of sold out, no seats. So, unless you are staying for extended time, and intend to fly all over the country, don't plan your itinerary around discounts. And, if they lower costs, it will probably mean even more sold out flights. Other notes: the Air Mada discount not available on route Tulear to Tana. Last December, we purchased from Mad Travel agency in Tulear a business class (seat in last two rows, wow) ticket cheaper than Air Mada price. Another thing, we saw someone remark upon the wait recently at Air Mada office on Independence Ave in Tana. I'm in town this moment and with the strike its been an all-day wait. But never a problem: give the door guard 2000 ariary and he will slip you a low number, the wait is 5 or 10 minutes. All the vazaha sitting there waiting, like Neddy they haven't figured this out, or are too cheap.

Vicinity Ave. Independence: For restaurant, the best one for cost and quality is hotel des Artistes (near to LE glacier). Excellent cuisine. Cost maybe max 15 euro for 2 course and beer. Also has rooms that are ok and probably pretty cheap, as their clientele predominantly middle age amis. Restaurant LE Gare serves up tourist rubbish grub in comparison. Hotel Fort de France very good for dejeuner, fixed price 20000 ariary.

As for LE Glacier, everyone knows. A couple visits there each trip to try any new, young ones that turn up, then afterwards Manson or the bars in that area. On Ave. Independence, in front of Pizza Gastronomy is ground zero for street scene: girls line up and Malagasy guys in their SUVs do the slow cruise inspection / selection. Better to shop here than at random street encountering elsewhere. You can also sit outside at table, have beer and see what turns up. Same quality as inside Glacier with often less mileage and at half the cost.

I will be in Mada in August, but with an organized trip of 11 people, so limited chance to enjoy the local beauties, as we are sharing rooms.

We will mostly visit the South plus Nosy Be.

I may find some time off and I wonder if it is possible to go to hotels for few hours.

September / October fares about 800 EU rtn fm Paris. MGA on 3300 for the Euro.

And to answer the Baron: I have seen so many tour groups, hurried from one park to another, staying in remote hotels, no chance to explore the beauties of that island on your own. ST-hotels are unknown in Mada. The only area for local short time is around Sole Hotel in Tana: the SW's there have their mattresses in the staircase of the houses there. Be brave. Perhaps the pros at Glacier may also know. But at the hotels where you will stay with the group. Unlikely.

Back from Mada after 20 days around the country.

The last week in Nosy Be I could manage to try a couple of local beauties.

I was travelling with a tourist group, but I found few hours by myself.

We were staying close to Ambatolaoka, 10 km west of Hell Ville. Nice spot, better than the main city. Restaurants and some pubs / disco. I went walking daytime on the beach and was approached and offered massage, which actually was the real thing.

One time we went to a small hotel (40,000 AR / 13 euros for few hours) and another time to a local house at no charge, not so clean but good enough.

The sweeties are quite young and willing to please, nice BBBJ, DATY, FK etc. They asked how much I want to pay and I offered 20 euros. Ok, I know it is too much for the level I can read here for other places, but here there are so many tourists and after all I did not want to bargain as I did not have many opportunities and liked to make them happy. Good service, as they try to get a permanent relationship.

In the evening at "The Beach Bar" you have plenty of choice.

Enjoy, Red.[/QUOTE]Thanks for your report of your stay. Unfortunately you just scratched the surface in the "Pattaya of Mada" due to your trip arrangement. But by saying that you got a good service, then you may imagin how much better it is once you venture deeper into the country.

You already know that you offered without pressure Pattaya prices. 20 EU is now 75.000 MGA. Everywhere in the world, girls learning fast what they can get. If the regular monger goes back and gives the usual 20.000 MGA for a short time and perhaps 40.000 for overnight, they may refuse. The price-spiral starts. Or worse. Bar owners smell the big business and will start their pimping business for the naive mongers. Controlling and selling them the girl but keeping 50 or 60% of the money just because the mongers don't know otherwise. However, that is not YET happening in Mada.

Nosy Be is not the typical Mada. The country is still big with many other beaches and middle-sized towns, where "fair l'amour" is offered for mutual pleasure and not only for money.

Your are right about prices and I knew I was overpaying, even if Nosy Be is certainly at a higher price compared to the rest of Mada.

I only had two chances to score and I decided to make their day special.

Out of breath.[/QUOTE]Been enjoying the delights of Madagascar since July when I sailed down from the Seychelles, true to say that I have only experienced NosyBe and Mahajunga for hunting pussy but for me nosyBe is much preferred. Firstly, as a tourist destination NosyBe offers much more in restaurant possibiliies as well as any number and range in quality of hotels. Secondly personal security in NosyBe is enhanced compared the desperate poorness of the inhabitants of Mahajunga, Nosybe is a relatively wealthy area directly due to tourism and thus the safety of us visitors is high in the mind of both the local people and the authorities. Thirdly I reckon that the girls are more prevalent and trying to hook up, yes there are many more professionals but do not discount the hundreds of girls working in the hotels and restaurants who also want to hook up and give a whole lot more of enthusiasm in the doing!

I have enjoyed several threesomes aboard my yacht which were spontaneous -of the beach- hook ups during the Sunday night Beach party at Madrokerry, no lost possessions and so far no STD either.
