My local friends and I (ABC, no language skills) go to KTV once in awhile in HK. Send or post a message when you're in town and I'll see if the boys are up to it. We go to a mid-range place in Mongkok or another place in Jordan. HKD1,000 for three hours of beer and sitting time. Add another HKD500 for fs. We just got back from Bangkok (going again in April) and will probably go to Chang An in the next few weeks. Hong Kong is just expensive (and the selection of gals not as great) when compared with other places. We went to a Chang An KTV a few weeks ago, and the gals' prices were pretty standard 2/4/8 with five hours of beer and food being an additional RMB500.

Chang'an as in Xian or are you talking about Chang An hotel in Dongguan? In either case, what is about Chang'an/Chang AN that makes it an interesting destination for a monger?

In Champagne B on level 3, $HK588 is the rate for full service with massage, $HK500 is for ML (make love) one shot. Over that, there is a time component, normally more if you stay more than an hour and perhaps more for second shot. Quoted take out rate to your hotel (LT) starts at $HK2500-3000. Hey AM,
That would be Chang An in Dongguan. Dongguan itself is an attraction (see the Dongguan thread under China)! Depending on work schedules and such, we hop the bus from Wan Chai to Huang Gang (Lok Ma Chau) border crossing, where we pick up a pre-arranged van to take us to Chang An. My buddies don't like Chang Ping, so we end up in Chang An. No real special reason. Good selection of gals (the last KTV we went to had about 200+ gals at the prime selection time of 1830), reasonable prices (2/4/8 for the gal and cheap food/beer), and a reasonably comfortable hotel room for RMB250. The gals get naked in the KTV room and are good for buffet sex all night. My buddies are a bit paranoid and err on the side of personal safety; they work in on-site construction so they are not shrinking violets by any means, being able to hold their own in any situation...they are just cautious.

I visited Hong Kong for the first time in nearly 4 months on a visa run. Some things have changed but most remains the same.
1. China visas are a little more difficult to obtain than before. It was possible to get 12month visas 18 months ago, then it was a maximum of 6months. Now since January 1, China will issue only 3 month multi entry visas maximum. Every time they change the rules the price increase or nearly doubles! My 3m visa cost 550HKD for a Canadian passport. (Same day service with pickup and delivery).
2. At 8pm (Wednesday night) I visited Laguna. Place was busy mostly Philipinas. A few beers later I met this tiny 21yo who called herself Rita. She was with her friend. I joined them at their table. They declared to be in HK only a few days and spend most of their time at Galaxy - which I had never heard of. After a while dancing and talking they complained about the smoky air in laguna and asked me to visit Galaxy with them.
We arrived at Galaxy about 9:50 and sat at a table together. There were about 10+ other Filipinas there and no other customer. The card on the table listed draft beer for 18HKD before 10PM and 36 afterwards. Galaxy is the former Strawberry which I visited one time and would not return.
I ordered a beer and 2 tequilas for my friends. The waitress came back with a bill for 304HKD which I balked at. I told her to take back the tequilas and that this was rediculous (actually said more than that). She took the drinks back and consulted with her manager. Fortunately nothing more came of this. I apologized to my 'friends', drank half my beer, dropped 20HKD on the table and left the premises quickly.
Do not go to Galaxy - it is a rip off.
3. Moved on to Fenwicks. A few more beers, met another Filipina. She takes me to Neptunes. I purchase her a drink, we discuss further business. She asks for 1000+HKD overnight, I offer 600, finally she accepts. We walk out, she takes me to Ming Court and before the door I decide to bail out. Not worth the trouble considering the bargaining that happened before. The outdoor light also reflects poorly on her - bad choice.
4. Back again to Fenwicks. Another beer, more walking. Eventually meet some girls that look 'different' yet familiar. Turns out to be a group from Vietnam. First time I meet VN girls in Hong Kong as it is difficult to get visa for VN people for Hong Kong. I like VN girls, my preference when in Singapore.
