I've never had any repercussions from listing my location as inside the PI while I was actually at home. Fil Cupid, in the other hand, once blocked my account two days after returning home while I still had my location listed as Cebu.

Having major problems with the website. Whether logging in, or just clicking any link or bookmark regarding ISG, I get the dreaded error message. Doesn't matter the time of day, or if VPN or not. Four days running. Anyone else?

I've noticed that when I visit I usually contract a bronchial infection.
In my opinion its from the hotel air conditioners never being cleaned. The manufacturers recommend monthly general cleaning and annual deep cleaning.
If you don't clean them they will grow mold, which you will inhale.
My solution is on my next trip to do like the locals and use a fan and open window. Conversely I may ask the hotel to thoroughly clean the air conditioner as a condition of my occupancy.
I've been visiting the Philippines since 1976 and can say with confidence that the locals will not invest in preventative maintenance if not compelled to do so.
Any thoughts?

Any thoughts?[/QUOTE]I would say air con is the culprit. I say that as someone who hates it and only uses it when necessary, which is in very hot Philippines and when the hooker is asleep. I have had problems with air con for decades and, for definite, a dirty air con, often the norn, is bad, very bad. Depending on where you are staying, I would not expect them to clean it but to tell you to politely FK off. Pinoys use fan as it is cheaper. I bought a lady a big fan and she was worred at the electricity it might use. They worry about costs, as we did when we had not a pot to piss in.

I remember when I lived in Asia, it was very rare to have a house full of healthy people. Someone was always sick with chest, throat or sinus infections. When we went on a holiday, everyone magically improved. I swear it was the atrocious air quality.
Sorry. I don't have a simple solution.
