I without a doubt am not lying about this situation, I still have the WhatsApp messages for proof. My Spanish is not as good as the locals but I guess the conflict was that he confirmed via WhatsApp earlier that day. He took her to lunch apparently and I guess he said I'll see you tonight and did a verbal confirmation. By no means did you "low ball" here. She asked for an amount outside of the normal market rates. You made a counter offer. You settled for what I consider a reasonable amount.
