By almost I mean like my phone dropped to the ground while the robber trying to grab it out of my hand so it was not successful. I also walked to Centro at night often but I have never been robbed in Centro. There are a lot of drug users and homeless people in certain areas and those areas are less safe at night too. One reason there are less reports because there are less tourists. There was an arm robbery reported in Jardim Paulista before that a store owner was killed by men on moto similar to what Steve reported.

Pattaya / Bangkok have more variety, cheaper, and world class food too but they are not at the same price range of places you have in mind. Similar type of food in SP is very limited in comparison.

She was so sensitive and aroused so I couldn't help to give her a DATY which I usually don't do. I got a sore throat and out for a couple of week as a result. I prefer a slim woman with some natural curves. While I can see how beautiful Thai women are, I am not turned aroused by them which is why I am slow in visiting Thailand. However, I have heard that the women there are very "traditional" compared to many women around the world which is a great quality.

Besides using Google translate for asking about rates and services before doing the deed, have any you guys tried using it to have a conversation with it? I'm learning the basic phrases before I head out there in 2 weeks but I know for a fact I'll be using the app a majority of the time. Has it been awkward trying to converse with the women you find attraction but don't speak a lick of English? Is it worth the headache if you don't understand each other?

When you are booking, make sure you have WhatsApp. Let them know you are learning Portuguese and using an app to help you communicate. I have used translate in each session where they have spoken or typed in my phone, and it translates our conversation. It doesn't flow as well, but it gets the job done.

The girls are quite accustomed to google translate customers. The app is very useful and it can be fun when used with the right attitude even in popular boates like Scandalo and Bomboa. The only problem with its operation in club settings is the noise level and your internet speed. If your phone is slow ask a waiter for the club's Wi-Fi pw.

I find Google translate is very useful and entertaining in the room before and after boom boom and it is indispensable for texting. But not everybody is into talking, kkk, so opinions vary on google translate. I like it, I use it all the time, but it is far from perfect.

I have been using the translate since 2018. It has made it possible to communicate somewhat. My Portuguese is improving with each visit but I still cannot "converse". The girls talk too fast sometimes even for the translate app to keep up. Without it I would be nearly as effective. So far in Brasil I have found the girls to be completely open to using it. My advice to anyone contemplating a trip there that does not speak portuguese is to download the language in the app in case the service is slow or do like suggested below to get the location's wifi password.

All the Airbnb's I've contacted need me to send the girls documentation first to the host, awkward LOL.

Is the norm here or are there any places where they can just their ID on arrival? Thanks!

Thanks![/QUOTE]My advices are always book with 2 people and look for Airbnb that does not say anything regarding bringing an extra guest. I do it this way and I always bring someone by walking them or meeting them at the front gate and get them in, no issue whatsoever. There is usually security man at the door but he doesn't care. I just stayed at an Airbnb in Moema and did exactly this.

If you want to go further, you can ask if you can bring guest and they almost always say you have to send their info ahead of time but some will says it is fine. I also stayed in Vila Mariana area as well and the Airbnb host wanted so much info, picture, passport etc. And he said if I bring a guest, I can just tell him so he can release to security or whatever. When I stayed at the building, there were no security guard, it was just face ID (using my picture) to get in and out of building so pretty much you can just walk the girl in and out.

So the whole point I'm trying to say is if Airbnb doesn't say anything regarding guest, you will be fine as long as you don't play loud music and disturb neighbors.
