Folks,
I've been fairly active in Mumbai since 2012, before I got there, I was told "Mumbai is like heaven for mongering". So I was eager to experience my slice of heaven and I have had some good experiences in Mumbai. But it's been such a struggle to make them happen - in comparison to Del, Blr, Pune and even Kol.
So much so that I sometimes cannot believe how BAD Mumbai is. So thought I would post here and compare notes. Maybe my experience is an outlier - if that's the case, I can learn from others.
Here goes. Things I've been surprised about with Mumbai. Which make it a lousy place for mongering:
1. Dirty incalls. The city itself is a shitheap, but the incalls I've seen in Mumbai are worse than in any other city. I've been to decent service apartments in Del, Pune, Blr and Kol for similar price ranges. But it beats me why an SP charging 10+ for ST cannot maintain a place with decent curtains on the windows. After all, in Mumbai you are basically living cheek-to-cheek with your neighbors, so that's the least you can have for privacy. The bathrooms etc? The less said the better.
2. Hardly any indies. With the huge huge mass of reasonably attractive and desperate people in the entertainment industry (I am talking film extras, side actresses, models etc), I have no idea why this should be the case. I've seen decent indies in Blr, Del, Hyd, Pune and Kol. No idea and no logical reason why Mumbai has to be this bad. But it is.
3. Lousy SPs. Nobody likes SPs, but the good ones are very important for the business to be easy for everyone, girls and mongers. In every other city, I've seen SPs with whom one can build a working relationship, be able to predict what can be had at what price. In Mumbai, every SP is basically a cheat. You either have the low end ones offering street stuff for 5-8 k. Or the good ones trying to con you with "models" for 30-40-50-100 k ST. Again, with the huge number of mongers and the girls from the entertainment industry, there HAS to be a bunch of SPs who can run a fair business just connecting the two. I don't see them at all. Why?
4. No incalls at decent hotels. Again, with every other city, one can get incalls at 5-star or 4-star hotels for the right price. I don't see this in Mumbai. Cannot understand why. Isn't there a decent mass of mongers who will pay a little bit extra for a better environment? And to avoid the hassle of outcall?
5. Shortage of good spas. I am not 100% sure of this one, but believe this to be the case. Spas are dirty places in general, but I shudder to think how dirty a spa in Mumbai must be, seeing how the entire city is so dirty and the incalls are so bad. Please correct me if I am wrong.
6. Places like NL and CH. From what I've seen, dirty, unhygienic and low end to the core. And not particularly good either. The equivalent in Kolkata is far far better, both in terms of quality, entertainment (but not hygiene).
7. Hassles at hotels and very few service apartment options. Good hotels are very strict after 7 pm and there seem to be hardly any service apartment options. So, the venue becomes an ever present headache with any mongering endeavor in Mumbai (or even romantic one, for unmarried folks, as I understand).
I could write more, but I think the above is a fair list. In theory, Mumbai SHOULD be a good place to hobby. Lots of decent folks looking for options, plenty of "talent" from the entertainment industry, safe to travel about at all hours, very helpful and cooperative people, very transparent in typical business dealings. But it seems to be the opposite. And I cannot explain why.

Another monger referred me to his find some Neha at Bangalore, however she happens to be from Malad. His a bit superlative description spurred me to go for her at Mumbai but it turned out to be a damp squib. But if you are on a short trip to Mumbai then you don't have luxury of selection due shortage of time and whatsapp may not help you to hit upon a jackpot. Send one back and calling another means returning empty handed for that day at least considering long distances and inherent unpredictability in this hobby of mongering! That's why all practical men decide to marry and live happily ever after!

Your perspective boils down to paid sex, pure & simple. Get this right, the strugglers in the entertainment industry are not prostitutes. They are "strugglers. " If you are able to fathom the distinction, you will find Mumbai is indeed the ultimate city.
In your style of approach, it will end up with the amount you are willing to spend & your very own capacity / capability. Go & hunt. Devise your own methods. Not that this is any way to judge :) But look at this site even - the most active forum is Delhi. Second is Bangalore, a far smaller city than Mumbai. Even Pune is disproportionately active for its size, relative to Mumbai.

My friend you might not agree with my point of view but this is what I have experienced.
