I'm planning my next trip to Santo Domingo here soon. My issue is the Hotel or AirBNB option. For Chica purposes I like the Hotel option because they do check Cedula and I think your pretty safe for any issues that might arrive because of the hotel security and all. With AirBNB I would think that not having that backup and you bring some Chica over you run into a problem with not being protected to a big extent. I would like to have the option of just having a place like an apartment but just so concerned about issues. To those who prefer AirBNBs what would be your reason for AirBNBs and having issues with bringing over guests, especially ones you meet while your there. ?

[/QUOTE]All the airbnbs that I have stayed in in Santo Domingo have had a security guy. They do not check your guests ids though and I doubt they will get involved in any of your disputes. They are mainly there to keep people out that are not supposed to be in.

But Airbnb's are cheaper than any hotel that you'd want to stay in.

BUT.

If there's a Blackout or worse a brownout (daytime Blackout) a Hotel is way more likely to have back up generators whereas in an Airbnb you'd have to ask.

BUT.

Anyplace you're likely to stay will have backup generators AND be much less prone to Blackouts.

If you use dating apps generally the chick will be of age and it's nothing to meet in say a coffee shop or Colomado and check ID's before you bring her up.

A Hotel will have security but unless you're talking a 5 star place and a hefty tip They won't get too invovled in any dispute with a chica other than telling you to give the chica what she wants.

The nicer the Hotel the higher the chica price.

Have not stayed in a hotel in 8 years. SD airbnbs are a great value and can be found all over the city. I have become picky. I only book locations with a gym and pool. I have never had an issue with a internet girls so have never used building securitry. I little vetting goes a long way. Being in an airbnb makes me feel less like a tourist. You have to do what makes you comfortable. SD Uber servce is very good so I felt ok staying many locals.

I see no price advantage over a hotel. I have not found any value over hotel rooms after you factor in cleaning fees. I have found that certain owners of Airbnb's are rather cheap and furnish in a lowbrow fashion. I only need a kitchen for long stays and really not even for that. When I go on vacation I want to feel like tourist. I want to dine out. I don't want to go into a kitchen and cook. If I wanted to that I could have stayed home.

Certain Airbnb owners discriminate. I have had more than one listing showing available then have my booking denied and the time blocked out. I think I know why that occurred. So I booked for the next open time and my booking was denied again I got the message. So from that point one I have been like fuck Airbnb!

But if you can get the booking you like, then I love it. I agree with all the Trip the wrote in his post about Airbnb. And I appreciate balanced reporting over cheerleading.

[/QUOTE]You do not know what you are dealing with until you have dealt with it several times. I like the amount of space airbnbs offer compared to a hotel. As you said, a lot of airbnbs skimp on the comfort. In Santo Domingo I have told the owner this place could use 2 more pillows. This place could use a comforter. This place could use more towels. This microwave does not work. This shower leaks. This AC does not blow cold. And when I come back things are in the exact same condition.

I have told owners in other countries This place could use more towels. Brand new department store towels bought and delivered later that day. This internet is too slow. The people will not be able to come install new internet until Friday. Stayed in the same place the next month and there was new lightening speed internet. This microwave is not working. Brand new microwave arrived the next day. The water pressure in this shower is too low. Sent someone out to check it out and even talked about changing the shower head, but realized that pressure was par for the building.

If you are staying at big chain hotels like Marriott's Jaragua, then you know to expect comfort. If you are staying at mom and pop places then be ready for shit like not hot water, towels that should have been thrown out 5 years ago. Etc.

I never experienced the dreaded are word in the DR so I can't comment on that but the value in Airbnb is in long stays as a former superhost myself It's hard to keep and wash linen and towels so if you plan to stay for a multi month stay you'll buy your own towels and linen.

I deal with a lot of non pros and semi pros and there's something about seeing a chick turn her first trick or first gringo leaving the room in a nice soft towel in trimuph on the way to the bathroom to shower up.

I'm a big proponent of the Big Butt delivery service / snappy nappy rappi and saw the sly smile as a girl (meaning an adult) goes into the room with the ecouragement of her friend / procurer and emerge as a woman. A Nice big towel helps as even though eveyone knows what happened in the room most chicas who are virgins to bartered for Box don't want the girl who brought them to see them naked so the short cheap towels that all Airbnb hosts use just won't do.

The robes at a 3 star and up Hotel do the same trick and one other thing that is both good and bad is sometimes the deliverer hangs out at the bar which can be good but if a chick is inexperienced for just is nervous about fucking her first gringo alone the experienced chick can walk her through how to do an excellent blow job.

Etc.[/QUOTE]To keep it a stack you have to be extremely careful satying in a Mom and Pop Hotel in Africa for the reasons you stated. DR hotels that's used for weekend warrior fuck fests are extremely hit and miss, There's some Ok semi boutique gems in Zona Colonial but not many and most would rather you not bring in a slew of streetwalkers from El Conde.

If you want to stay in an affordable Hotel in Zona Colonial you might do better to bring randoms to a cabana of your choice and Some Cabanas will let you stay all night if you ask.

Just more options.

I would not choose to live in Santo Este. However there are Airbnbs in some of the best locations in SD. It takes 5 minutes to read reviews from other guests. These reviews are legit. For 70 bucks you can get appatment in a great location with everything you need. IMHO a comparable hotel will cost twice that.
