Tons of food carts and restaurants on Percenongen. There's even a Domino's Pizza right across from Classic for something quick. Never tried the Chinese restaurants in Classic.

Read the forum on how Classic and Travel work. They're not like most bars. If you see a girl you like ask her who her Mamasan is. Try learning to say it in Bahasa since many of the girls don't speak English. She can only be booked through her Mamasan. If you grab the nearest Mamasan you will be swayed to that Mamasan's girls. if a Mamasan sees you as a confused newbie she will follow you everywhere. On my first visit one followed me across the bar to the washroom and waited for me to finish.

This is my 3rd time in Jakarta and I'm African American. I have absolutely no problem getting girls here. Just be cognizant about Asian history or traditions that see white or pale skin as class (pale skin is for upper class and brown / tan skin was for peasant in the field), mixed with colonization that warped ideas of white racist superiority and the new wave of popularity on the block, pale Korean media and entertainment. All plays into what they see as successful and beautiful. The girl I'm with right now is 19 year old girl from Sumatra who says indonesian men prefer white skin, slim, long hair girls mostly of Chindo (Chinese Indonesian) origin. So white pale skin is the beauty standard here but my Tinder, Bumble, Badoo have been flooded with likes (over 100 in a day in a half) from girls ranging from 18-45. I would say if you want to be on the safe side, you could test the paid subscription of the global or travel modes of those apps and see what bites you get and if it's worth it to you to come. But as the forum mentions, there are many clubs and massages that have tons of women and I have never been rejected in any of them. Hope this helps.

Kelapa Gading, like the rest of Jakarta is not that well set up for walking. A lot of the restaurants have that filthy Habit of putting all their garbage out on the street and the DKI truck comes along and scrapes it all up every night so the sidewalks can have a few stains,puddles of dubious provenance, squashed rats etc. But there's lots of restaurants, some world class coffee and a broad range of P4 P within a 10 minute ojek ride. From high end to dumpster. There's no 5 star hotels, Santika maybe the best of them but also Harris and one other (Pop I think), attached to Mall Kelapa Gading for discreet trip upstairs if you click with your tinder meet.

Not a bad stop for a weekend out of town.

Will be traveling to Jakarta soon and plan to share field reports to return the favor. In the meantime, can anyone recommend the best options for daytime mongering options? Are the places in Kota Indah like Starmoon too dead to bother with in afternoon? Maybe FS massage options better in afternoon? Thinking about grabbing numbers from girls at night and meeting up during day outside of spa may be the way to go. Please let me know if there are any off the radar daytime options you'd suggest. Thanks!

Back in 2019 I found myself working in Jakarta for a year. My mode of transport from residence to workplace were the blue colored angkots that plied their way along Jalan Satrio heading for Tanah Abang. At 3000 a ride it was an adventure. One evening I found myself alone in the back en route to Kuningan City. It stopped in front of Citywalk Sudirman where a lady waited to board. Instinctively I held out my hand and helped her in. She was surprised to see a bule hold out his hand. I was surprised when she planted herself next to me, her hip touching mine. I extended her a glance and a smile which became longer as the angkot plowed on. She was travelling far, so I suggested she get off with me and spend the night at my residence. She was reluctant at first but as we neared my stop I paid the driver 6000, took her hand and pulled her gently out. To cut a long story short she was 52, single, never married and no children. Angkots are a good place to meet office lady types.

I was planning a September, 2024, sex vacation to Jakarta, Batam and Bali. But I've been reading horror stories about Indonesian police targeting tourists. They claim that you can end up in jail if you're even seen talking to a hooker, and even the people will rat you out to the police.

According to these articles, the police have also stepped up raids in brothels and sex hotels, arresting everyone, including the patrons. As a result, many of the girls that used to work in these establishments have now moved online, and use 'dating apps' to hook up with clients.

This is not appealing to me at all. I don't do dating apps. Call me old-fashioned, but I just want to walk into girlie bar or brothel and choose among dozens of hot chicks on display. You can't beat that. If this is going to be a problem, I'm simply going to nuke my plans and visit Colombia, or some other place, instead.

I really regret not visiting Indonesia years ago, when it was safe for mongers. I made the mistake of going to Thailand and the Philippines instead. But, according to the online pics, the chicks in Indonesia are so much hotter. There's no comparison.

Please shed some light on the current situation and persuade me to go.

Guys on this board need to realize if you don't post reviews of your trips you will get a more general answer like I gave below.

I've given you WAY more information than I had on my first trip. You should be way more than fine. On each of your first 4 nights go to Kelepa Gading, Kota Indah, Classic, and Travel. You can add Malio in there if you're not on a strict budget. All except for Kelapa Gading are within minutes of each other by taxi. There are plenty more options in Jakarta too but I'd be guessing to know what you're looking for.

KI opens at 4 pm (used to be 3 pm) and there are girls in the bars at that time. Safer to wait til maybe 5 pm or so. Classic and Travel open at 5 pm and you'll be able to find plenty of girls once they open. Lots of spa options open earlier like Delta, B Fashion, Sumo, etc.

You may want to consider heading to BATS or CJ's and picking up numbers for FL girls if you want afternoon meetups. Can be a real pain with some of these tightly controlled bar girls if you're a non regular.

It's true. In Indonesia society is horribly garbled, the sharia police are everywhere and OS is glad you have read this online for it must be true.

Trust nobody, your enemies can be everywhere, why! OS was in the supermarket last week and watched a packet of potato chips shape shift into a devilled eyed enemy. Fortunately OS carries garlic with him to vanquish his enemies thus. But its tricky. Hookers, bad news, OS saw one hooker go and hand herself in to the sharia police so she could claim the reward for catching a hooker. The fat ones and muscly ones are especially to be avoided, there are stories of them dragging innocent foreigners, still balls deep and dog locked into the police station to claim a double reward. That's grandpa's motorbike repairs paid for.

OS would counsel that you very carefully assess the risks of visiting Indonesia for he can see you like to manage risk and the sheer volume of risk that you will be required to assess could affect you negatively. Not just the risks of visiting a brothel but millions of other questions may confront you. Should I cross the road?, How far should I stick it in so I can pull out and run?, why is that security guard looking at me? Why are the potato chips all facing towards me, it's fraught and one false move and it's life in prison at the hands of the sharia police.

OS strongly recommends a day trip to Bangor to practise dealing with all those identified risks prior to betting it all in Indonesia.

As OS so quaintly pointed out, if this worries you, best not step out the front door. But trust me, there are far scarier places to visit than Indonesia.

If you still want to come, and your fears are dangling there in front of you, stay in the Shangri-la and visit BATS, or camp out in the Mulia and go to CJ's the whole time you are there. You will definitely have no issues with police in the short time it takes to get from the exit of the club to the lift. It may be the most expensive way to enjoy the city, but it will be risk free, apart from the chance of catching a dose or two of the clap.
