I went to Banco poplar, Bank reserves and BHD and all three turned me down to open a bank account. You need a 3 month bank statement, bank approval letter,500 usd, and a few other things. I was rejected because I'm over my 30 day tourist visa so I'm illegal.

[/QUOTE]I opened up an account with Banreservas long time ago and It was very easy. All I had to provide was my passport and a local address with 2 local references. Maybe it changed now. Pension residency is very slow and a lot of paperwork is required. Everything needs to be correct some documents need to be translated some apostilled. Send me a PM if you would like to use a lawyer to make it easier and faster. I know a local lawyer, she is good, honest and reasonable.

I maintain that if I go out on a date with a woman and she asks me for money at the end of the date she is a pro.
