Status of "HELP / Museo".
just returned to usofa this morning after 5 days in copa. there is construction activity on the help / museo site. peeking through the fence you can see lots of workers, lots of materials, pallets of cement and rebar and some kind of weird looking big-ass piece of machinery. it looks to me to be something for setting foundation walls / posts / supports. now whether it will become a museum or a hotel. time will tell.
Just have to stay ahead of the game
Airfare is up across the board, even for flights within the US. I used to get fares from the Midwest to LA or Vegas for around $300-$500. I checked on a flight to Vegas the other day and the cheapest fare was $1000. This is the major carriers, not budget ones, Southwest or similar. I can't wait until they start implementing more fees for baggage.
Fortunately one of my companies is in the business of designing and implementing video conferencing solutions. When airfares go up organizations look for alternatives to business travel. In many ways the airlines remind me of Brazilians. They constantly are finding new ways to screw themselves all the while thinking they are getting over.
Airfare - Maybe they actually do listen
After my post earlier today, I made a few phone calls questioning and a long time discussing one of the major carriers' pricing policies. I went back in tonight and now prices have returned to around $1000 again. BTW I did call BACC earlier today and the lowest fare they had for economy was $1500.
