I've just returned from Athens and trawled Iasonos, Kolwnou and Filis streets. I went at various times of the day and there's always someplace open. I sampled two on Iasonos. Iasonos is certainly the budget end of the spectrum with rates starting at EUR 10 going up to 15 in one establishment. The rooms are clean. The girls are romanian or otherwise eastern european. They not particularly enthusiastic once you have paid, and time is strictly limited. 10 minutes is about the usual. Good for a stick it in and see, but certainly not GFE ie does not seem worthwhile extending. They are young to middle aged with veterans at the southern end of Iasonos. This is also the end where druggies are openly scoring (at least 2 dealers on the street with supplies). But they tended to not interact, and I did not feel unsafe.

Filis looks less seedy but I expect the setup is similar. I buzzed on two entrances but got no reply. There's CCTV at the entrance so maybe they just didn't like the look of me or was knocking off time (this was about 8 am).
Kolwnou is a particularly busy road and I did not partake. TBH, I don't think anyone would have cared. The scene is well tolerated.
