Santo Domingo

Momma is funny to me because something's she just won't change for. We used to argue about keeping chicken or eggs out at night and not put them in the frig. I would put them in the frig and she would take them out so I gave up and let her have it her way, but I don't eat chicken that has been set out.

I brought a can opener that you turn and she looked confused. She is used to grabbing a big knife and stabbing the can. I showed her how to use the can opener but she won't use it.

Just yesterday she came to my new spot for the first time. I've been keeping my spot in Zona colonial and this spot till my lease expired in Zona. The first month here I was running two new friends. A Venezuelan Uber driver and my Agora mall side pieces were frequent visitors. Momma just knew about the Zona spot. Anyway momma was doing my laundry and sitting in front of the stackable washer and dryer with clothes in her hand. I asked what she was doing and she said she was waiting for a door to open. She thought it would magically open LOL. She has one of those cheap washers and no dryer. I showed her how to open the lid on the bottom washer and tried to explain the settings. I walk away and come back ten minutes later and she is washing clothes in the laundry sink by hand LOL. I started to laughing but she wasn't.

Many visitors here simply do not understand the nuances of the culture in the Dominican Republic. And no amount of explaining is going to change this. Remember most posting here are giving their opinions. There is very little real actionable intelligence to be had. I read about a lot of stuff that I never see or experience while I am here. That is why my post count stays low.

The real value of ISG to me has been exchanges via private messages that I have led to fruitful relationship where mutual respect is the foundation.

Here are some of my proven and tried spots to visit in Santo Domingo. If you are scared to leave the hotel maybe this info is not for you. It's for the adventurous guys who aren't scared to venture out and soak up the culture.

El Conde is a great starting point to hangout and people watch. The cigar shop by the park (parque Colon) is great to scope the honeys or order some food from the restaurants nearby. Pacos, Onos, and petras are nice spots. Even walking around Zona colonial you will discover some of the mom and pop spots.

Clubs: Onos, Venezuela, Spartas, Mixer etc.

Parks: Colon park is the best to hangout at the end of conde.

Cervantes near Napolitano is great for the local culture.

Espana is also great place to have lunch.

Casas: Oasis, Foxys, flash dancer and about 5 others I can't name. Oh, GBP.

For music, drinks and some nice working girls try the Jaragua. There was a discussion here a while ago about the girls entry fee to the hotel rooms at Jaragua. My understanding is that a tourist and his wife were returning to the hotel and security stopped her and gave her a hard time. Well the woman was a Marriot executive and she raised hell. After her issue they relaxed the policy but please don't run up in there with 2 or 3 raggedy street tricks and have an incident. The girls working the casino and the bar are your best bet as they won't get harassed by security.

Skoka and a few new Venezuelan casas round out the lineup.

There is a nice cigar shop at Santiago and Pasture that I highly recommend. On Mercedes it's a new heath food spot run by Rastas that doesn't open till 7 pm wed-Sunday.

Get indriver app on your phone, fuck Uber. Uber drivers change the price too much for me. Catch indriver to Agora mall for 150-200 pesos and have yourself a wrap from green bowl and checkout the ladies. A Greenbowl is also in Sambil. Go to Mega central for the hood rats. Go to Blue mall for the stuck up girls. Ride the subway, and feel the culture.

The wise use of tipping can get you a lot of "prompt service" anywhere, but a tip left at the end of a meal, or at the end of a stay in a hotel, is only productive if you intend to go back soon, or you are a regular customer. Otherwise it's just a nice surprise "thank you" from an anonymous source.

As an expat, I have a routine where I mostly use the same domestic staff, bars, restaurants, dedicated moto and publico divers, so they anticipate my propina, and pay more attention to, and even prioritize my needs. I get the extra towels, water dispenser filled without asking, on time pick ups and drop offs, errands, undocumented friends pass the security guy, etc. And the perk of running a tab at my favorite places, to be paid when it's convenient for me.

I learned a lot from my regular who can send her guy out for an onion, garlic, stuff she's cooking, even a fresh chicken, and my glasses to be repaired at the Optica, and stuff she needs from the pharmacia.

I don't go overboard, but my regular propina adds up over the weeks and months, and keeps the folks around me happy, reliable, and interested in my well being.

In the USA I think most of them have to be refrigerated because of some chemicals they spray on them after washing. In most other countries they do not wash them so do not need to use that chemical on there, instead letting the natural enzyme stay on and do not need refrigeration. Food is refrigerated to slow the bacteria growth.

Last year when I was in Colombia I saw this chick pull margarine from the cabinet. I was like what the hell. Then when I went to the grocery store I saw a pallet of margarine sitting out that was not refrigerated. You learn a lot of stuff traveling that is different from how you were raised that you may not otherwise have ever known.

On a sex guide we should at least be hearing about an arena where we can find women. But that is just my opinion.

Let's not forget though, for many here, especially from the US, tipping is a habit that has been inculcated, plus it feels good at times, right?

I have my favorite restaurants in Sosua, the laundry guy who comes to pick up and deliver, who are typical recipients of such gratuity. For the women, food and drink are the additional incentives although there are quite a few women, who do not care about an alcoholic drink, especially the visitors in the mornings. The doggy bag can be an useful and much appreciated gratuity with the motoconcho fellows, my recent discovery.

If you need my advice on where to find girls here it is:

I find almost all of mine on Tinder and Tagged. If I want a hardcore professional I use Skokka or I goto a casa. I also meet meet girls that I like in person in malls mostly. But sometime in campo.

Anyone who thinks "hood rats" are in Mega Centro has not been there in a while and maybe they just got their nose up in the air a bit. Amazing what happens to people when they get a little money in their bank account. Because the current line up of stores have changed dramatically from when I first moved to Santo Domingo este. And it is an excellent spot to make one stop to take care of things both business and personal. And for everyone's information the final stop on the Metro at this point in Santo Domingo este is at Mega Centro.

There is a new Nacional Supermarket going on San Vicente right down the street from Mega Centro. Opens on July 20th. For those interested, Nacional is the equivalent of Whole Foods (expensive) here in the Dominican Republic. So, much for the idea that Santo Domingo este is less affluent. Within waking distance of the new Nacional Supermarket is a building going up where the apartments start at 149,999 USD. That is right gentlemen USD. Immerse yourself in the culture. LOL!

Greenbowl is also located in Galeria 360. A very interesting mall that seems to have many girls with both money and children. It is a regular stop for me. I usually avoid Agora because it really is not on my route often. I can take care of all I need to at Galeria 360 while hitting two other of my favorite stores both before and after.

Those of use who live here are immersed in the culture on a daily basis. If you are here for just a short time your focus should be on your personal objectives not the desires of the "Mr. Brothers". LOL! But if you want to enjoy the culture, make sure you roam about with your head on a swivel. Keep yourself safe. Do not flash your things of value or your cell phone. Learn the language. That is what will get you the best overall experience during your visits here.

I think you appreciate that. Your regular contacts know they you are not going to "negotiate" every purchase you make, or complain about the bill. It's always the usual deal. And you share your take out, just like the locals do.

Street, beach or bars, I get no touts approaching me, although they may bug my visiting friend. Seems like they can smell new money. LOL.

One of the perks I get is ice cold beer at the places I frequent, even when the power goes down. They sell the warmer stuff to the tourists. Sometimes they want to know why mine is cold, and argue with the bar chica.

The freedom to not have carry cash all the time, for bar tabs, motos, street food, local tienda for milk, eggs is liberating, especially on the weekends, when they are lined up at the banks, and sometimes broken ATMs. If I get a new moto driver, I'll just get the change to pay him from the bar or restaurant he drops me off at. (a word of caution for the critics. Not required, but I always sign my tab before I leave it. No surprises or rip offs when I eventually pay it).

"Manana" is a magic word, for a stress free life.

Mutual trust and respect takes time to estabish down here, but I'm treated more like a local, than most visitors / expats. Being with with my regular of 7 years helps with that.

Same with the other occasional chicas I fuck. Never need to "negotiate" (hate that word, doesn't mix with good sex) I just pay them what I can afford, without offending them, depending on how well the session went.

I like an occasional pizza. The best right now in Sosua, are Pirates Bay, then Cheers, then Bailies. Just don't leave a half eaten one sitting on the kitchen counter overnight! LOL.

So I went to the grocery store Ol today. I didn't have any small pesos so the bagger took out 5 pesos from his tip stash and gave it to the cashier so she could make change. So the 5 pesos were on my behalf. Interesting. Out in the parking lot I was arranging my bags to leave (as I was walking) and out came the bagger with a bag of carrots that I had forgot. It was a kind gesture. When I received my change I had two 25 peso coins. So I gave him one.

Paid 16 pesos for the carrots. So if I left without them I would have lost my 16 pesos and my carrots. The bagger gave me 5 pesos. I gave him 25 pesos.

So, that was a net of 20 pesos in his favor. Win / Win deal for us both. Now I didn't have to give him anything. But that would have made me like the cheap guys posting up in here complaining about tipping. I shop in that store at least once a week. So, 20 pesos for a little good will. Yes that was worth it. Those that just visit or talk from a half a world away do not understand that.

Another story, I always make sure to tip the colmado delivery guys when they bring a package to my residence: 10 to 20 pesos. Bad behavior by visitors is to be expected. But they are also and often targets for poor service as illustrated by Oakie's post. I can attest to this directly. When I was in Sosua and given bad prices I challenged them and explained I lived in the Dominican Republic and was just visiting from down south. They always lowered the prices. After nearly four weeks of going to the same places I never experienced that problem after about the first week of being there. But I did notice that the business owners who were not Dominican did not pull those same tricks on me. Ever!

I also found lots of girls in Sosua willing to provide social / sexual services. They were everywhere. The were on the street. They had jobs. They were online. And they were all willing to fuck for money. I hope this helps out the individuals looking for more information on how to have sex with girls. And I hope they take the time to share how they find girls in the Dominican Republic.

I would say that that outside bar in Plaza Espana is perfect for a sundower while watching the boats leave for Puerto Rico.

You can have a great short trip just by staying in the Zone.

Agora Mall was on my route compared to Blue Mall the food is mainly fast food and Chef Pepper and gourmet Pizza shops. Because I was ther so often I fucked more Agora Mall Shopgirls than anywhere else.

Mega Centro food court is ground center for action, Being slightly bigger and less intimate is an issue but I think I pulled more shoppers out of Megacentro than anywhere else. The only downside is I had a Moto attempt to charge me a fortune to ferry an off duty wendy's employee to my house. Pro tip use the subway to get out of Megacentro even if you live no where near a subway harder to get a decent cab from there.

Galleria has everything. There's sports shops in the Mall itself and speciality sports shops around the corner. There's a decent crossfit box there too charging almost what Crossfit boxes cost in the states. They're maybe pussy avialible there but I didn't see any doublestuffed store bought asses there. I usually aviod botched surgery chicks myself but having them in the vincinity indicates that other less obvious girls are availble.

Sambill Mall is almost walking distance from Zona Colonial again never picked up from there but they have a decent grocery store.

I am almost a week into my Boca Chica trip and decided to go across to Santo Domingo. Discovered that there is a bus that does that so headed to that street that's close to being perpendicular to Banco Popular on Duarte and hopped on. A/c bus with 5 people on board and I envisioned a good trip but that was not to be. After about 10 minutes of driving the bus stops at some depot and we have to change vehicles. Got on to another bus that filled up fast, needless to say a guy who's bigger than me sits next to me and it was squashville for the next hour or so.

So I fooled around in the city for a bit eyeballing some Dominicanas, some of whom eyeballed me back and some of those with a smile. Had lunch then fooled around again and thought I should see what GBP has to offer before heading back. I was the first gent in the place and was greeted by three chicas none of whom whetted my appetite. Lauren was the best of them. Chatted her up in my broken Spanglish with no intention of habitacion arriba. Two other girls then entered the place and I thought this is getting rediculous; do guys go with these girls?

Then in walks a familiar face (my last visit was 8 years ago). She changes and enters and I call her over. What's your name? Sol. Did I meet you 8 years ago? No I only recently started here. I take a good look at her and I know I banged her 8 years ago so she's lying. However, I regard her as something of a miracle as she does not look 1 day older than when I last saw her. Honestly. She was the best looking chica in the place until this darkie in spike heel boots entered, she was hot but completely ignored me, I eyeballed her but she never even glanced in my direction so decided to leave her alone. For me hearing 'leche papi' is worse than no session at all.

By the time I left there were 9 or 10 chicas in the gymnasio. I spent about 2 hours without even a lap dance. Do they still do that? Had I not reeled in a non-pro (semi-pro) in Boca Chica I would have been quite frustrated as I left the place without a session. A little variety is good but that was not to be. Perhaps Monday is a bad day so I may give it another try later in the week. Meanwhile I'm loving the touristy activities with the semi-pro in BC.
