Can someone compare and contrast Vietnam vs Philippines.

It's early days but I'm thinking of trying somewhere new rather than a repeat of the same areas I've been going to in Manila and Mindanao

I don't need multiple fucks every day but happy to combine regular tourism with carnal desires; I'm a cheap Charlie so not interested in $300 fucks on Bien Vue; happy to visit hot tocs and Gaito quickies but not all the time; i'd need some LT or overnight options; I'm happy in big cities but also perfectly comfortable in smaller towns.

I'm spoilt in the Philippines with local knowledge and an existing contact list. What's the best way to replicate this in a 2 month holiday around Vietnam?

You're right about it being a scenic and fascinating country so I think I'll keep it as a tourism option with the occasional R rated detour rather than a dedicated monger trip.

It's a Muslim country so being a non drinker is 100% acceptable. Local girls will actually respect that you don't need to get drunk to have a good time. There are bars but you will only find heavy drinking in the foreigner tourist areas.

It's ideal for someone who wants to travel, away from the regular sexpat locations.

Preparations before hand?? Nothing special. Just be prepared for walking around all day in the heat, bring any meds from home including something for the inevitable travelers diarrhoea.
