It might be hard to check but I'd try to make sure there are no sewerage 'treatment' plants close to where you'll be surfing. There are a few places that dump raw sewerage into the ocean in the PI. I had a nasty skin infection after swimming at Whites Beach and attribute that to the sewerage that is dumped into the South China Sea near Olongapo.

Enjoy your stay. I've been to LOS and much prefer the Filipinas over Thais.

It only takes about 5 minutes and then another 15 minutes or so to wait for their confirmation. And then the money is ready to be picked up.
So far I never had any problems.

Twenty bucks? Nothing quite like paying 3 X what it is WORTH. Oh well. You will become educated in time, grasshopper.
Also, Indian generics (Kamagra, Apsalis, and the like) are in the $6 range for the K and $20 for the A. IF I wanted to pay US prices I would have STAYED THERE.

I carry Amex express all the time and Thailand is the best country to cash them they charge less than 1 % at money charger in BKK and rate is little better than us currency, I also bring usd 500 tc but in PI only bank and large money charger will take them and rate sucks, the worst country is China and Brazil bank will charge you per tc if you have 20 check you are screw and it take long time bank need to call the amex office by phone.

Basically it is a debit card with multiple currency amounts loaded. He carries just one credit card which is kept in a secure place for emergencies, and uses the MC Cash Passport exclusively when in SG and TH.

He says that the only charge he ever incurs is a $5. 00 reload fee which he does online using his phone. There are no charges for online transfers between different currencies on the same card, which he does at any time using his phone. And there are no ATM international withdrawal fees (as the money is withdrawn from the local currency on the card).

He likes the security as this is the only card that he carries when out and about. Even if he was forced to reveal the PIN, the thiefs only get the local currency on the card. They can't access the other currencies at an ATM.

Worth investigating?
