So I was planning on making my way down to Tijuana again later next month, since I have some time off from work. I live in SoCal, so I enjoy Tijuana for the convenience; however, I am contemplating whether or not I should try other destinations? Medellin comes to mind. I have skimmed through that forum, but to all of the gents that have made it out to there as well, how does it compare to the offerings at Tijuana? I know that prices in Medellin are cheaper, but is there enough quality to justify the hassle of flying there and back vs just hopping across the border? Thanks!

Not sure about your economic situation, but flight costs and expenses associated with traveling that far may wipe out any savings in sessions. Of course, there is also the lost time in travel and I am one who dreads any flight over 3 hours.

I've visited these establishments 25+ times so kind of bored with them but my first couple trips were amazing I couldn't believe such a place existed. Go for one week and do a few tourist attractions like visiting Pablo Escobar's grave. Personally I wasn't crazy about the city itself but the people are nice and the music is funky. Good deals on chicas, booze and drugs. If those in abundance on the cheap are worth your effort then YES go.

Thanks![/QUOTE]I've been to Tijuana many times and also made my way to MDE last year. Keep in mind I come from the East coast and both are a haul for me. MDE was a great time but I probably won't be rushing to go back. The pros for me was that the city was way nicer than Tijuana. Overall quality of girls was better, was cheaper since airline points got me there (JetBlue has good cash deals when I was looking fwiw). However there was a lot more of a hunt. The casas are spread out, it's said to be dangerous where the SGs are and I stick out from the crowd so avoided that, and so a lot of my time was spent online or going between casas. The strip clubs were good but the higher end price wise.

Overall I think I prefer the convenience of all the different bars in one area in Tijuana with the option of all the escort sites right at my fingertips. Just my. 02.

Thanks![/QUOTE]Interjet just recently had a are / T from Tijuana for $210. So go ahead and do both but Spanish is a must to navigate Medellin. Tijuana is great for its vicinity to border and English speakers. Medellin is best enjoyed for multiple days and selection of Venezuelans and Colombians at streetgirl prices!

So anyone seen (or otherwise heard of) any celebs being down at the clubs in Zona Norte? The chica I mess with most frequently at Adelita's said she's gone arriba with Mario Van Peebles (who actually was born in Mexico and filmed a movie in Tijuana 10 years ago or so so maybe it was around that time as she is an older chica). She also mentioned a well-known wrestler (or maybe it was an MMA guy. I recognized the name but don't remember it now, could ask her the name if anyone is interested LOL) who she sat down and talked to for a bit but didn't actually go arriba with.

Only time I can remember a celeb being down in Tijuana making public news was that All-Pro NFL offensive lineman Barret Robbins (Oakland Raiders) back in 2003. He famously missed practice the day before the Super Bowl in San Diego (where they were set to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) because he'd apparently spent most of the day in Tijuana drinking and partying at a bar. The "bar" he was at was never specified but I suppose there's a good possibility it was a Zona Norte bar. Anyway, the team ended up deciding not to play him in the Super Bowl over this (despite him being one of the best players on the team and their best offensive lineman) and they ended up losing the Super Bowl the next day. It was a pretty big story back then.

Most of the married ones will as well. I know a lot married woman who say, "I won't cheat but my husband knows if I get a chance with a top actor. ". heck, just being six foot 1 or taller, under 42, and not overweight makes most clubs a Hong Kong. I've done a lot of dating in the states, and for 99% of the woman, height is top priority. Income, criminal record, sense of humor all comes later. In Tijuana, it's not nearly as bad because the men aren't tall so the woman don't get ingrained they must have that 6 foot guy to show their instagram friends. If you look at the dudes in HK, the average height is 5 inches less then a regular bar in the states. Charlie sheen is a different breed. He probably pays tinder chicks just cause it turns him on more.

Most celebs probably have no problem at all sleeping with hot girls in the states though. If I was a celeb I'd probably go to HK haha.

Can't figure out why other bars other than HK don't have more places for private lap dances with girls. (Chicago does I believe).

Tropicana had a room but the guy wanted $50 for the time that included a bunch of beer (I don't really drink that much so could care less about the beer).

$21 at HK who have figured it out where they make money on drinks. Lap dances. Etc. And some guys want to go arriba as well.

In the lap dance rooms I am surprised how some girls won't take off much of their clothes for the lap dances where others "get it" and are happy to do so. (with a tip).

If we already gone upstairs with other girl and have popped our corks. Or we just don't have the extra cash. But we still want to see and touch their beautiful body's. (for a good tip). Help the guys out a bit and strip down girls.

I get it where the private lap dance rooms are a segway to going upstairs but they don't need to be. Instead of waiting for the guy to take them upstairs. Maybe there is some good money to be made by giving guys more of what they want in the private lapdance room (with out taking out the guys dick and doing stuff etc.)

Don Julio 70 is a very smooth tequila, sold in square and clear 750 ML bottle. I was impressed with its smooth and slightly sweet taste just just a hint of the anejo cactus.

Stores in California sell the 750 ML bottle for $50-75. HK sells them for $102 a bottle. They usually double street prices for the privilege of hanging out with the chicas. The Tequila shots poured by Speedy in the bar is bitter and harsh. I usually tip him $1 per shot. My new wingman liked that drink and took multiple shots. Speedy haggled for $3 tip.

Friday night I stopped in the UETA duty-free store at the border. They had all kinds of sale and special prices for liquors, beers, wines, perfumes, hand bags, candies etc. Found the Don Julio 70 bottle for $35, which was 30% discount from CA stores. I want to show my cognacs-drinking friends this tequila's smoothness and fragrance. Incredibly my quick sampling found you can find more premium tequila brands with lower prices in CA duty-free stores than duty-free stores in Mexico. Any bros know better deals, let me know.

Also found cigarettes on sale for $12 a carton, with the 2nd carton half price. Bought 2 cartons for friends which came out about $0.90 a pack. The same cigarettes would sell for $8-9 per pack in California. Will give them out gradually so these guys won't kill themselves with smoke. Duty stores were supposed to escort us to make sure we went to Mexico and not back to the US with duty-free goods, but they never bothered.
