I have heard of this from a lot of different places about them bailing on the guys once they arrive in the States. My questions to you is why you want to get married? Also why you want to marry a women from a different social/racial background then yourself?

I have been there and done that and I don't think no women on this earth is good enough or worth enough to make me commit to fully. Also the whole marrying then mongering thing man whats the point?

I think I agree with DW on this also. I heard all the same things over 20 years ago, about Koreans marrying only for the purpose of getting the green card and then dumping the guy for someone better. I guess I was lucky. It took about 13 years before I noticed the "keep up with the Joneses" attitude kick in. But when it did kick, it kicked damned hard! As for the dumping thing, I'm wishing that would hurry up and kick in. I've been separated from her for almost 3 years now, and I can't get her to agree to doing an uncontested divorce, or anything that would make the divorce go smoothly. Anyone know of a good lawyer in TX (or an assassin in Korea)? :D

I have had a couple of Filipina girlfriends. Both lived with me for a while (at different time periods, of course). The first got into the "keep up with Jones" thing immediately. The kuripot (cheap) aproach was absolutely not for her. We split after she returned to PI and started demanding that if I did not send her more than $1000/month, visit her at least every 2 months with expensive gifts (and not so much as looking at other girls), then I obviously didn't love her. She was correct!

The second one, I thought was the greatest woman I could ever find, at least when I first got involved with her. She told me that she had no problem with me playing around with other girls, as long as I returned home to sleep with her. She refused to let me buy her expensive things. She even resisted when I wanted to buy things she needed, like a winter coat in the middle of a Korean December. She would insist that she was warm enough with her thin sweatshirt on, while standing there visibly shaking. The problem came when I took what she had told me literally. I continued chatting with various girls online. I would not hide from her when I was admiring a nice ass walking down the street. I did many things that I would never had done in front of a girl that was obviously jealous. But she had said it was alright. Right? ... Very WRONG! She never let me forget what I did to make her feel like I didn't care about her.

I guess my point is that you will never be able to tell what a woman from any culture will be like as a wife, until she is your wife. ... And then, it's to late to do anything about it.

I have heard stories of guys living in PI, Thailand, or some other 3rd world country, like a king with their herum (not sure about my spelling there). They hire all kinds of cuties to do various jobs around their house (probably to include bedroom duties) and take them out on the town every now and then. I envy those guys (if they really do exist). Personally, I think (getting and) staying single is the best option in a great mongering area like PI.

Well, I have no plan on marrying any filipina, and bringing her back to the states I don't think is a culture shock for them versus other ethnic groups for whatever they tend to become very Americanize which can be a really bad thing if you ask me. My original posting was asking men who have mongered in various different countries and experience different types of fruits to see which one would be the best if they had to marry. I do have a friend who is retired in Cebu, and lives like a king in every sense of the word. He would be considered very well off here, but in PI he can party like a rockstar! I remember when he first started living in PI. I just couldn't believe how he was living he had two cute maids from the province which he took to bed, bars girls all the time it was amazing site! After my first visit there I was hooked. I hope to semi retire in PI when I'm old marry some cute young thing so I can bed her without condom and have my fun on the side.

My wife is Korean also. We have been legally separated since 2005 but are still living together. She told me she wouldn't divorce me because it would make me too happy. The woman is crazy!

I thought it wasn't quite simple as that especially when there is financial matters involved? Not that I'm even close to a lawyer, you always see in the movies where he or she is refusing to sign papers to finalize the divorce etc...

Met a guy who is an american pinoy, told me that don't go to the bars you want to hit up nice young girls for cheap prices. Go to the colleges many of the girls there need money but don't want to be seen in the bars. He stated all I would have to do is go to security officier and give him some change and he could point out which ones are doing what. any truth to that?

Any Place in PI is a nice place to meet Filipinas if you are a foreigner. You should get out to Dubai to see the real Filipina attitude it's an eye opener.

I'm not a newbie to PI, I have my regular girls in Pi and pick them up at the malls and what not. But the thought of young college girls lining up there and you can essentially" bar fine them" because they need money for school is just so appealing. Fresh girls that you don't even have to work at and play the I'm looking for a gf sort of game, that I play at the malls etc. Pay as you go with true non pro girls who need a bit of pocket money.

Pimpster. Guys get disillusioned and think Filipinas are nice and sweet. You come out to Dubai see them when they have a little money in their pockets see how they act towards you....I am late 20s. Have the body of fucking football star and the pockets of a American Judge. I have seen them even display racism in Dubai. I like Dubai. It helps clear up the bullshit. It's like contact lens solution for Philippine Goggles. What are Philippines Goggles?

Wow that bad? I never ranked filipina very high once you taken them out of Pi, as potential mates or whatever. I just didn't realize that it was that bad. I've seen filpinas that have lived in the states awhile and I must say they aren't even close to something that I would consider dating long term, that has nothing to do with whether I find them attractive or not, its just an attitude thing. I know a gal who worked in dubai, and I'm meeting her in january got massive attitude . She cute and I just plan to tap that and go on.

I've only been to Dubai once, and I've only met a couple of Filipinas who work there, and I didn't get that impression. Then again, our meetings were short and I wanted nothing from these women, nor they from me, so my impressions are probably not worth much.

I'm somewhat surprised too by the racism, as I've never seen it displayed here. I've been out on the town in Manila with black friends from Africa, and I didn't notice that they were treated any differently than I was. Is my sample too small, or are Filipinas normally racist?

I have been traveling to Dubai for the last 3 1/2 years every 3-4 months for business. I went with a Filipina friend to one her friends house to pick up a young Cebuana. They were angry with her when she brought me in the house. They said they thought I was an African but being an American I was OK. Met A Filipina on-line who was living there. We chatted for days on end. Never traded photos. I told hey I forgot tell you I am black. Right after she pulled a Bin Laden I never got another message.

Some time I look at them in the club you can see the disdain in their eyes. I have bagged a couple of them in Dubai but these are the type that will go with a damn martian if he had Dirhim in his pocket. Guys don't get the wrong outlook Dubai/Filipinas is a great place but there as I said you see the real them not the Peso/Visa seeking ones you find in PI who will go home with Papa Shango from WWF if given the chance.

With respect to discrimination, filipina often discriminate on the same line that Indian people do if not more so. Here what I've notice about filipina living in america, not all but the ones that still speak english with the accent. They will discriminate against their own people if you are from the province and you don't speak tagalag. If you are filipino and you are dark they don't like that they say its dirty. Actually, I've been corresponding with a light skin filipina on DIA and she refers to this a lot "you know the dark people who work outside they look dirty". If you are filipino and you speak english at work instead of tagalag, they don't like you. If you are black forget about it. If you are asian they are somewhat ok with that but you have to be really good looking americanize and have $$$. If you old white guy forget about it no matter how much money you have. Even if they are old they want someone looking younger than they are, preferably blond and blue eyes pale skin but will settle for cute hispanic guy. Many will only date whites though. Its almost an inferiority complex issue. Of course this is just what I've seen in the hospitals that I've worked for. Keep in mind that we are talking about filipina that haven't been living in the u.s. for decades upon decades and there always exception to the rule, but in general they are like this.

Thanks to Daddy Warbucks and Pimpster. I guess you're never too old to learn, and I learned something, no matter how unpleasant.

As an old white guy I guess I better stay here where attracting younger Filipinas is never a problem, rather than going back to the states to face rejection. I have more the body of the football than the football player, and though I might get taken for 50ish, I'll sure never be able to pretend I'm younger than that. I guess here in the Philippines the expectation that you have money and may be able to offer them a visa more than compensates for the age and physical stature. Think I'll stay here.
