Well well well! I guess standing up for yourself isn't a bad idea after all!
The police offered attorneys to the American and told them that he would otherwise have a serious problem and would go to jail. Just a few weeks ago I posted that as Americans we have to stand up against being extorted by these girls, and I promptly got trashed by certain members for my viewpoints! Here is an American who they were trying to get 2500 fucking dollars from and he refused to pay. (I guess the members on this board would have paid the 2500K with a quickness as soon as the crooked cop made a threat). Guess what would have happened if that man had paid that 2500? The girl and the police would have gone out this week and tried to get another American, but they would have asked for 5k the next time!
The Article isn't clear who is related to who
You left this part out:
"por lo que esta oferta fue rechazada why después de algunas diligencias legales realizadas por un familiar suyo por ser dominicano lograron salir"
This makes their case unique, agreed?
I don't know about you, but I do not have any Dominican family members living in the DR that would be able to "get me out".
Dominican family member of the American? Or Dominican family member of the Dominican guide, Manny?
I have been there 3 times since you were there.
No problems so far. If you are so sour why are you on the site. Mr gloom and doom. Were you ever a victim of a scam? I know no one who has been scammed. Get from under your dark cloud and post at another forum.
You've got it ass-backwards brotha: I have not been back to Sosua since May 2012. Sosua will not be missed!
Be sure to make friends with as many DR lawyers and bondsmen as possible on your next trip. Sounds like you're going to need them when your chica tells her police buddies that the video you made of you and her to show your friends back home was filmed without her permission. I predict that once they extort your ass for 60k pesos that it will be your very last trip to Sosua, LOL!
The usual story.Makes no sense-

, that last Thursday at about 1:00 am they were next to two American citizens walking in front of a bar in the Clisante Pedro Street, several women approached him and offered sexual services to their friends, one of them after sharing some conversations turned down the offer of a young prostitute under whom he identified as Katherine Perez, prompting an attack by the chica.
Brito said the puta took a bottle and broke two of the lights to the guys jeep, and no police helped him. He went to the police station and was himself detained. Later the chica shows up with an officer and files a complaint.
The police offered attorneys to the American and told them that he would otherwise have a serious problem and would go to jail. In the early hours of the morning came the lawyers called by the police and offered him freedom for $ 2, 500. Trying to scare the American and warning him that he would go to jail. This offer was rejected and after some legal proceedings he was able to get out of the situation.
