Mansion is good at what they do
I admire their hustle. It's not for me but they have a successful proven formula for which there is great demand. May they be blessed. It's clever marketing. They don't charge any more than the market will bear. I respect it.

How much are they charging?

Their formula works, and it fulfills the role the Sportsman's Lounge or the old Hotel Little Havanna used to fill for San Jose.
How much are they charging for the party, anyway? I might just go.
And the problem with that would be. ?
The place is a heist and for those who want everything delivered to them on a silver platter.
Surfer,
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, just not sure why "wanting it delivered on a silver platter" is a bad thing. Just because its not your cup of tea doesn't make it a "heist".
I have stayed there a few times, and a few times I did not. Quite frankly, I enjoyed the times I was there more, if for no other reason than it was interesting getting to know the other guests. I was happy to pay a little extra when I was there for the service and local knowledge that would have cost me much more in time and money to obtain on my own. It also let me in on the local customs much quicker. Horses for courses IMHO.

Black tee mansion uniform
Does the typical mansion guest bring down those snappy black tee-shirts they wear all over Poblado, or does the hotel include one in that price? At least everybody got the memo!
Just kidding, but to be more serious, I can understand why somebody would try the mansion, I just can't understand why they would keep relying on it if they were making progress with their Spanish, or had bettered their proficiency in meeting regular priced pros and non-pros that are much hotter than the photos I've seen, or the girls rolling out of the mansion in the morning. Some guys don't mind paying 5 x as much for things, some even think something is better only because they paid 500% more, to each his own.
I've met some cool guys that have stayed at the mansion before, but they were the ones that spread their wings eventually and did things like rent apartments on subsequent trips, taken Spanish lessons, pick up regular girls in Centro, or how to make the casas work for them. Those things do take effort though, and some are only on vacation for a week.
