[/QUOTE]I've never been to AC, but many times in Manila. I have gotten an overabundance of coin change. The majority of the time, it's because they do not have enough paper money. I used to save it for hotel housekeeping tips (but I am not staying in a hotel anymore) or taxi drivers (but using Uber now).

Now it just accumulates as I usually forget to bring change out with me when I go out.

Is it even possible to spend $700 in Angeles in one day? You would have to try really hard to do that. Reminds me of the movie Brewster's Millions:

"Under the terms of the will, Brewster is challenged to spend $30 million within 30 days in order to inherit $300 million. There are some conditions attached: at the end of the 30 days, he may not own any assets that are not already his, and he must get value for the services of anyone he hires. This isn't about hotels but I guess about accomodating getting to the rest of the Philippines from Clark. It apparently now it is not possible.

In the past Cebu Pacific had a daily totally inconvienent late evening flight to Cebu with no connecting flights until morning. And a return one in early AM I took that one for a many years and as recently as this past March. Air Asia had a few times a week Clark-Davao route that was killed this year. That was it. I could understand Air Asia they have other issues. They had Boracay flights in the past but once you've been there you realize its an over priced over crowded tourist trap. But now Clark is strictly an international Airport.

So to get anywhere in the Phils to and from AC its a trip to dreaded Manila and all its traffic and BS. My last trip in March I was able to only spend the first and last few hours in Manila as its where my international flight lands. This next trip I'm screwed. I was planning trips to Davao and Calbayog with a home base in AC and its going to be a pain back and forth to AC. I was already SOL on the Calbayog one anyway as you can only get there from Manila on Air Phil or whatever they call it these days.

Whats the politics of this? Because the economics can't have caused this. I can't believe there is no demand to go from AC to anywhere in the Phils by plane. Is any airlines planning to fill the void by August? Or anytime in the forseeable future?

Its like an island you have to swim through shark infested waters to get to and from when a simple short bridge could be built. I understand the bizzare family politics and rivalries of the Pampangan and Manila clans not having simple connecting flights, but now the entire Phils?

Has it changed in the past day or so?

But I agree the timing is shite. It is much better to travel out of CRK domestically but even then I've done some logistic on the timing and time of day and it is 'easier' to risk the three hour drive. When that new express way eventually opens I doubt they will ever get domestic flights at DMIA.

One thing I have done is used the left luggage service at T3. This allows me to leave the bulk of my travel stuff at NAIA T3, take just a carry-on to provincial Philippines. Then arrive back, collect all of my luggage and head internationally.

Internationally I prefer to wait a few extra hours at Singapore and fly direct to CRK. Even the timing of those flights seem to miss my preferred times too. Ie flight from Australia arrive 4 pm and CEB flight to CRK departs 4:45 (or so). Not enough time to make the connection.

Last few trips coming into Manila from overseas I have flown within a few hours from Manila to different cities and eventually to Cebu. From Cebu I fly to Angeles. One other time I flew from AC to Cebu and then to Manila for my going home flight. I have found that booking flights in advance on sale is cheaper than the P2800 car service from Manila to Angeles and I still end up in Angeles.

Just make sure you have a girl lined up in each stop.

A s I stated in the original post I took it in March as well. It was there for many years.

BTW making sure you have more than one girl lined up at each stop is a much better plan.

I have used T3 a dozen times since it opened and wandered the place many times and never knew this service existed. Where is it?

So yes BD and DG. Things have changed. That was the entire point of my post.

Please before anyone else responds, try to book a flight from Clark to anywhere domestic. You cannot. I really hope someone can prove me wrong. Cebu Pacific as of at least yesterday does not service Clark at all.
