dlatins, classicos and after 1 are all run by the same partners and an agreement was made to close classicos "for awhile" so that other business ventures could grow. classicos is available for private and special events.

i witnessed a fight break out at d'latins between two haitian girls. one pulled a knife and stabbed the other repeatedly. that girl later bled out and died. the other one was reportedly found raped, with a broken neck and dead in charamicos.

haitian girls are hassled regularly and beaten by police. as are the haitian males. the recent crackdown targeted haitian owned "businesses", but were reported as "massage parlors". many were boutiques and hair salons and from what i could tell, not at all involved in the selling of sexual services. three around the corner from me were shut down, even though they never even appeared to be open. the haitian males are targeted more often for moto-confirep001ion. in all cases, the dominicans see the haitians as competition. they no longer want to lose money to them, so the "crackdowns" here, are more about that, than anything else.

the police hassled me one night while i stood on the sidewalk, down past the plan b bar, texting my friend. they asked me why i was here, where i was staying and what i was doing. in between answers, they were whispering to each other and acting suspicious. they let me go, but the whole event was uncomfortable.

i found a gun (minus the slide and the clip) laying in a gutter across from rumbas. i did not touch it or even say anything to the police about it. not my business.

i have met many locals and talked to them about a wide variety of things. i suggest many of you do the same. it may change the way some folks conduct themselves down here.

Most of us travel to get what we can't get at home (I rather would say "we are too shy to get at home") , and when we encounter the "receptivity" of the ladies out there, many of us "board" the deception train thinking that the hoes really fell for us, and then we do the "normal thing", start sending money to keep them away from the bar scene. In reality, we are just walking ATM for them, idiots to be taken advantage of. Don't get me wrong, I was one of those idiots in the past, and the hardest part was that I didn't do it out of love but out of pity (I don't like relationships because they are opposite to what I really like, freedom). Since then I learned that I don't have to remediate a problem I didn't create.

By the way, I really want to go to the Philippines, it sounds like fun, as we speak, my buddy is there having a blast!

As far as I know all of them featured Haitian chicas offering massages (sex). It was reported that there were sixteen closures. The other five might include the three around the corner from you. The ones I know of are on Dr. Rosen (3) , Alejandro (4) , near the back entrance of Casa Marina (2) , on the road down to the beach (2).

and yes, practically all the haitian girls carry blades / knives for self defense.

and they will tell you they do not carry those to defend themselves from mongers but from "crazy girls."

Well I've moved here to live at <Infinit-blu. Com 3wks ago after never being in the DR before but reading for 5 years all blogs ever written on this thread. Just surreal: So many 8's. 9's and 10's all day, all night. Pretty girls? Surprising to me Sosua blows Medillin and San Salvador away completely for quality. From all my reading I was still completely surprised by the quality of both faces and bodys. Just mind boggling. You'd only see some of these girls on like the Spanish "Romantica' channels. You could fill a Playboy magazine ten times over in just one day / night. And because these woman are exotic looking (different than we are used to) a DR 8 in the USA would be called a 9. The girls I've been with have all been very friendly, not robotic. I had one exception however. Girl came back to my room. Only wanted to give massage. After some non-heated arguing I figured best to pay her half. In general I've been paying $1,500 for 8's and $2,000 for 9's. Bored? I have not even scratched the surface of the potential here. Note; The people are extremely friendly to me and to each other. As one American here said."They are like brothers and sisters." He also added "It rubs off on us too." Nice.

Thanks for the report. I share your perspective of Sosua. Lately some guys have been ragging on the place. The truth is the numbers are so great any guy can find a 8 or 9 any time they want, The girls are motivated to please. Sosua is like Christmas every day.
