Hotels in Thailand
I always stay at the Majestic Suites on Sukhumvit near Soi 4. They have a complimentary breakfast and free wifi in the rooms. I have never had any problems bringing girls back to the hotel or with any of my stuff going missing. They have an in room safe. At about $45 a night, the price is great for the quality you get.
I would say that LL probably epitomises what we are looking for in Bangkok. Think I may go back there as again, very easy to take girls back and its pretty good
Am I embarrassed? Not really, its just the next morning when I am trying to eat my eggs and the girl behind reception is laughing because I look like crap after a night with two thai nymphos.
The staff at most hotels would / could care less about this to your face. The thing about LL is that you are usually only with (during breakfast time) by a lot of like minded individuals so you are not getting the snotty looks of the over the hill ladies with their husbands while their husbands are envious as hell.
However that just makes me want to take the girls to breakfast even more just to [CodeWord140] off uptight people like that when I'm at such locations.
No one really cares anywhere they let girls in, but if you get a suite at GP (Tower 2 I think? The one on the right as you go in the driveway) there is only a security desk and a small lobby which is usually fairly deserted, no front desk, and the elevator entrance is out of sight around a corner.
GP has also Tower 3 (across the road, where the German/Bavarian restaurant is). Was surprised myself to find out. However, there is a security guard but during my stay he was not really concerned. Only once (early afternoon) did he ask the girl(!) in which room she will be. Rather funny considering that we were holding hands:-) and I was obvious the one 'in charge'. But no questions regarding ID.

I stayed a lot of times in GP, always tower 3 and security guard always take ID card of girls coming in my room, but when they was with me, moreover he always phoned me if everything ok first to return them.

Ll
I have read quite a few pages of this thread and I know I should probably spend some more time RTFF'ing but in the interest of time savings would someone please tell me what the real name of LL hotel is?
I am coming to LOS for the first time in April. I plan to stay 2-3 days in BKK and 2-3 days in Pattaya during my 6 night stay.
I am looking for a gf place with good rooms and free (hopefully) internet for a reasonable amount of $. I will be doing SW's primarily and some sightseeing in the day.
Any hotel recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks,
ER2

my usual suspect: grand sukhumvit hotel bangkok
5 minutes walk to nep, 5 minutes walk to beergarden at soi 7, 3 minutes walk to nana skytrain station, 5 minutes walk to club eden and 1 minute walk to [CodeWord900]
and right now there's a promotion where you can get the room for 53 $ per night (no breakfast included and wifi is 500 thb per day)

I agree and the one bedroom's are nice to have over a standard hotel room. The rooms are aging and I wish they would upgrade but overall it is still a good value and location. I enjoy having the table, couch, bed, kitchen all to play in with the girls. Just wish for a whirlpool.
There are however two main security guard, the main one is always attentive to details, the fill in or sub is lacking in doing his job at times. So maybe the other poster got the fill in guy.

Maid at GP
Hi to all,

But I saw a very pretty maid who would do the room up daily at GP. She was smashing! Unfortunately, I did'nt have the guts to proposition her! Alas!

The constant name dropping by a few "friends" of LL is directly for this reason, to market the place and attempt to get newbies to go there.
IMO, its overpriced, not very well located for lower Sukhumvit, low standard of quality of rooms. Service is good but sadly the other lagging factors make it overall "overpriced".
But hey, the choice is yours.

Thinking of it, that might be true because when I checked out early morning on the 24th nobody was in the reception area when I left towards tower 1. But maybe he was in the corner where the two lifts are.
Anyway, despite being a bit tired I'll certainly stay again at the GP. By the way, whilst I was there they refurbished the pool area etc and apologised for any inconvenience. This should be finished by now, I seem to remember.

I was staying at Ibis Nana Hotel during my two visits to Bangkok. Hotel is great with a good location close to NEP (5-10min walk). When I was there in Feb I just walked in with a lady but now in Mar the reception took her ID and then called when she left that everything was ok. Not sure whether they changed their policy recently or it depends on the staff working at the moment. Also a girl who was with my, who was 18, said that last time she could not get in, because the reception told her that only 20+ year old guests allowed. Strange policy indeed. Clean hotel, small rooms but nice, about 1800 thb a single big bed or 2000 thb a double room at te reception, a little cheper to book online. Still I dont like the ID to be asked and will go elsewhere probably next time.

Generally the hotel taking ID and calling is a good thing, especially if you are picking up fl's. Are you sure she was 18?
