Can anyone advise what CIA or CSVC refer to in the context of massage parlours in Vietnamese language reports?
CIA = Cum In Alo.
I don't know what's alo, but I guess it should be same as CIM.

Hi bros,
Newbie here. Need some advice. Only have an afternoon available. Would like to enjoy an upscale massage with high end spinner type girls. Narrowed my search to dai nam or boss palace. Thoughts between these two?

CSVC denotes good facilities, as in clean showers etc.
I see that Pham The Hiem is quite a long street. I'm familiar with the kinds of bars / establishment's you're talking about but I'm wondering if you can be specific about the street? Where on PTH are those sit down bars located?
Those places are all in the area from about high 400's to about low 700's on that street. Maybe five located on right side of street as you ride toward the market (the even number side of the street), but one is on the left side, same side of street as market. These places no BJ.

CSVC = co-so vat-chat, "co-so" means basic, "vat-chat" means physical materials, together the phrase CSVC means the basic physical facilities, or the room physical conditions.

So CSVC implies only basic facilities? From context I understood it as 'decent facilities' I. E. Comfortable enough.
As to CIA, any idea what the etymology of 'alo' is? Not Vietnamese I assume.

Orchid is now an upmarket Japanese spa- yet to be researched.
Mai Spa is definitely worth visiting! A range of ages, all very enthusiastic: haven't been disappointed yet. 450 for 90 mins, 1 m for FS.
Check it out!
Just to be clear, I've been reading the forum for a bit trying to get an answer to this but I can't seem to get it straight.
Are the massage parlors FS or not? I see references to both, but some very strong statements about most of them not being FS. I live part time in Thailand and I know that area so well, but for some reason I find Vietnam hard to figure out! What I'm mostly looking for is an upscale kind of sure-thing. In BKK, I know a small agency that is fantastic and never disappoints (even though most agencies there are BS). In Vietnam I have yet to hear of an independent girl that is fantastic, even at a high price. I'm short on time so massage parlor appeals to me.
But, are they FS or not?
Also, in BKK it's generally (but not always) true that if you go to a premium place and pay a premium price you'll probably get a girl who is paying attention and at least pretending to be in to it. But, what little experience I've had in Vietnam is that a lot of the girls seemed apprehensive and bored, etc.
I'm determined to have more success on this next trip!!
You sense correctly, it is not clear. In short, there are some places that offer FS and some that do not, and the majority do not. And actually, the majority of massage places only offer HJ. I'm not visiting massage these days (ones like Vien Dong, Saigon Star, etc.) but that is what I hear. Others who frequent these kinds of places more maybe can give better answer than me. There is another category in VN called hot toc, and those usually give BJ. To find FS, you need to get good info about which places, by word of mouth.

Vietnamese still answer their phone with "alo" (in place of "Hello, Thus Alo implies the mouth (what you use to talk on the phone).
Best regards,

I'm determined to have more success on this next trip!!
Most massage parlors will NOT allow FS because of the law in VN. The law in VN put heavy penalties on pimping, not the girl or the john. If caught in the act, the john and the girl, if first time, will only get fined (cash willingly accepted). The pimp or those who facilitate the act get heavier fines and may be even jail time, and of course, shutdown. That is the main reason why most massage parlor owners will not allow FS, they get heavy penalties for little profit. The real reason is that they (the officials) know who has the most money and where they can reap the bigger profit. The owners are many times richer than either the girl or the john. They owners will have to pay fines for the act, plus money to stay out of jail, plus money to reopen the place where they have already invested money to operate.
However, if you are a frequent, well-known guest (I. E. , good tips), some of the girl will allow FS, that is totally personal choice, so that the owner of the parlor can claim ignorance or deniability.
There are places that regularly payoff the officials so that they can have FS. Those are usually in forms of barbershop (HTGD = Vietnamese abbreviation). Most of them are in District 10 (RFFF and you will find them). There are also massage parlors with FS in a small town called Vung Tau (about 1. 5 HR car ride from Saigon) plus other towns such as Nha Trang and Da Nang. Again RFFF (other areas) and you will find them.
Hope that helps.
Is it or isn't it somewhere you'll get FS?
When you go to the room and you're asked if you want a shower you're on to a sure thing.
The girls want to know you're clean.
Look back through the forum for some of my old posts on the spas in D2.
You'll find what you're looking for there.

Best regards,
Thanks. That makes sense. I visualise a girl holding a phone with head tipped back, mouth open wide on the 'ah'.
