P.S. Midwestern is right — worst identity give away ever is the TV screen in your hotel room. I've never had a problem but very hard to avoid that (and I've several times left a girl sleeping in my room or left before she did — not saying that's a good idea!

That's scary AF. That you could have an alternate temporary identity and it could be so easily pierced.

Just googled and found out its easy to stop this on WhatsApp. Just go into settings and stop contact sync on WhatsApp and it won't look for contacts and import them anymore.

I use WhatsApp and telegram. I have a different sim and handset for the burner number. Never had to worry about other things.

One needs to not allow it in the first place. The problem now is all you get are phone numbers in the chat. One needs a burner phone to solve the issue.

This may be a stupid question, but what are the main reasons for using a burner phone? To avoid the police and getting busted? Or, to hide your identity from the gals? Or, something else?

I only have one phone. In the states, I use the Hushed app, which gives me an unregistered telephone number. In China, I use a "second" WeChat account, which is affiliated with an old unregistered telephone number. I use these apps exclusively to communicate with SBs, WGs, MP gals, agencies, and pimps.

As I mentioned earlier, I realize that apps can "talk" to each other, and so that would be one reason to use a burner phone, but are there other major reasons? To me, just having a second phone is already suspicious. I would have no good explanation for it. Thanks!

You only have mongering contacts on this phone and you allow whatsapp to access it. You can disallow whatsapp to access your contact. The result is your chat sessions will be identified by phone numbers only, not names.

I think there are two things discussed here. One is to allow adding contact automatically, the other is to allow contacts access. I think the critical time is during install, one must read every question carefully before proceeding to not allow adding contact automatically.

I have multiple phones with me when I travel. It is more for backup purpose than anything else. I only carry the one I need and the one that I can lose going out. All my phones have US numbers so it does not makes much difference for a few hours.

I saw in a gossip column that Matthew Perry got exposed by a nineteen year old publicity seeker model type. It looks as if it is not on android so I can't try it for myself.

I personally wouldn't engage in this hobby with a registered phone number. This is why I use Hushed which gives me a number without having to register it and why I use a WeChat that uses an old unregistered number. Of course, I realize this is not bullet proof. I'm pretty sure that Big Brother knows what I'm up too.

So putting the final details together for an upcoming trip and reflecting on the timing of the search and also the stark contrast in how some girls are really good at this versus the others.

Someone has suggested that starting your search 1-2 weeks ahead is about right. I can agree with that. But I can never abide by it — when I'm bored in the evening l, what do I do but search for girls at my upcoming visit city. Whether that is six weeks out or more. I started prob 6 weeks out this time and that is not optimal but at 4 weeks out I snagged two keepers. One of them flaked eventually and was replaced. And now in the last couple weeks I have the problem of over abundance.

What I mean by that is that the girlfriendy part of this is super important to me. And some girls are really good at it. And some just horrible. I am amazed at the girls that just give one word answers and don't converse. These girls get kicked straight to the curb no matter what they look like. And others are REALLY good at the girlfriend game — once engaged they check on me daily, how's my day, did I do anything fun, looking forward to seeing me. It's really great when it's ON.

This however makes it difficult to replace them with someone "better" who may arrive later in the game. Ultimately I've settled the first night on V who is top girlfriend material even though she is a shade off my type. But I had a 20 year old Brasileira come swooping in and replace R for night two. I felt bad kicking R to the curb after she’d been so nice. But had to do it. Just told her that work intervened and maybe next time. She was great about it (notice I didn't say my trip was cancelled because I want to leave the door open if someone flakes).

And now yet another cute Latina hottie has come in the scene. She was super quite to get down to $$ and pretty reasonable. She's not going to replace V or A that I am very invested in but a nice wildcard to have.

So the good and bad of starting very early is that provides great girlfriendy interactions on an ongoing basis but at the same time makes it harder to choose and harder to pop girls off the stack. First world problems!

Having a second phone as a burner phone has its advantages -.

You can switch off whenever you want.

You can keep it in DND or silent mode.

You can download true caller with a different name and use it regularly.

You will always know who is calling or messaging you. Work or sugar baby.

Of course the cons are always there and it's up-to ones comfort.

I can make it work without burner, but it is tedious to switch between contact accounts.
