The process for being tested involves filling out an application, getting your mug shot, seeing a doctor, giving your blood for the test and seeing the doctor again re the results an hour or two later. The first two steps are for the first time only, and though there will likely be some waits, they are seldom over 30 minutes. This isn't an issue for you if you send the girl on her own. But, yes, Bumrungrad has a rep for being more expensive than other hospitals and clinics in Bangkok, let alone Thailand as a whole. It seems the feeling I've gotten from Thai people is that it is a more quality institution as well.
