Yes, there is Uber in Medellin and Bogota. In Medellin, the 10,000 peso taxi fare from Centro to Lleras costs 8,000 to 9,000 COP on Uberx and 9,000 to 10,000 COP on Uber Black (the "luxury" version, VW Jetta vs. Low end Renault). It doesn't make much difference for the shorter trips most of us do but the smallest Uber cars are roomier than the yellow subcompaact taxis. So, you pay slightly less and you don't have to handle cash, and there is no tipping on uber.

Why not?") I know if I got some idiot to charge my ride home on their credit card I would go scoop up all my family and friends and do some things ("wait here driver...).

I sent one to come meet me in Santa Fe (I have a jailbroken phone so I can change my location and have uber pick up whereever) anyway this fucking **** has me waiting 2 fucking hours to get from near Bello down to centro omerical santa fe. 2 fucking hours! She fucking lied your fucking **** off. I saw where hte stops were etc. After that never again!!

However sending a girl home, I will say with uber its sometimes awesome and cheaper. One time I went to love hotel. He drops me off and then drops her off. It was cheaper then a taxi for both stops! So yeah use at your own risk.

I had an apartment a couple of blocks away from Parque Lleras and a room at the Premier Plaza at ground zero adjacent to Botero Plaza. I typically would walk down Calle 10 to the Poblado Metro station and get off at the Berrio Metro Station and be one block from ground zero.

Some nights I'd be in Botero Plaza doing some of my regulars and afterwards would go out in the street and hail a cab from right in front of the Antiquoa Museum. No phone calls to drivers, identification issues, what kind of car, etc. And typically only a few minutes waiting except one night very late at 1 AM in the morning when the walking dead are in full force around Boero Plaza.

For the regulars that I had come to my apartment (not my El Centro girls) it was simple. They would ride the Metro to the Poblado Station and take a cab to my apartment. When they would leave I would hail a cab for them and they never had any problems getting into one of the public taxis.

I would use Uber if I wanted to make a day trip out of the City, etc. But for use within the City it doesn't make sense to me. I can pass for a Colombian looks wise until I open my mouth so I can see how perhaps an obvious looking gringo type might be smarter to use Uber.

I make a point of asking what area a girl lives in. It is not hard to calculate the bus / metro fares. I have sometimes, when a taxi fare is not pre-agreed at booking but she attempts to spring one on me before leaving, offered her the bus fare (kindly and quite literally) and even pointed out which stop to go to (not that she doesn't know already).

You will see what type of girl you like and before you commit to her simply ask her what she likes to do. Had a different papasan than usual maybe because it was a Sunday. He was more pleasant than usual.

As usual new life had a pretty big lineup with some decent lookers.

- Zandalay.

Some really hot girls in the lineup and I like the rooms here (I think they give you a better room when you pay for an hour and / or are a repeat customer).

- Chicas Punto Com.

Pretty big lineup, quite a few decent lookers, hard to remember the girls names as they go fast. This place is on the second floor of a small shopping center.

And it might not be good if your shy about everyone knowing where your going to and coming. The rooms here (at least the one I got) are not as nice as Zandalay and New Life.

Looks like the sheets don't get changed too often.

Higher end Casas / Massage places.

Energy.

Nice rooms and a few good lookers in the lineup. Got to say though that it seemed to me the quality has gone down compared to my last trip a fwe months ago.

On average the girls were not much better looking than the better looking ones in newlife or zandalay.

In zandalay especially its easy to compare since the girls in both places wear bikinis in the lineup and to my eye anyway.

- Thai Spa.

This has the nicest rooms I've seen and the most expensive prices. An hour body massage is now 170 (compared to 130 at energy and 60 for an hour in centro). Small lineup and cute girls. On average better than energy. The massage I got though was pretty standard. Same as at energy (I was hoping for a Thai style soapy massage where the girl slides over you.).

One nice thing about Thai spa is the hours. Its open till 10 most nights so its a good option if your looking for early night action.

Thai spa is also on the circular sur bus route. So you can go right from centro ave oriental to about a block away on the bus (if your a cheapskate going to a pricey place) - be warned though. They charge you 20 K entry fee (and give you a beer or water) if you enter but don't pick a girl.

All the locations are on the map and these are all places that have been reviewed before. Just adding updates.

[/QUOTE]Nice review. Was at Chicas Punto Com today. Big lineup but mostly gordas despite being promised "aqui solo flacas" (only slim ones here). 35 k hh 55 k for the hour. Nasty rooms.

The place is also a fucking zoo. They sit you down and girls are whizzing by you left and right introducing themselves at rapid speed, coming in and out of different rooms LOL. Manager at desk there is a blonde with what looks like a fake ass, she just summoned them all to lineup at once.

I actually prefer to just see them all lined up in front of me. Better than one by one parade.
