I have 4 trash bins, the biggest you can find here, but they are about the size of a big indoor one in the US, so they fill up pretty quick, especially that the trash collection times and days are a strongly guarded state secret here, so the trash is overflowing pretty quick, and the bags get ripped open by the vicious 4 legged creatures as soon as it gets dark.

Everybody seems to be just fine, with the trash, and the fucking dogs. If the bug spray works and they stay away from my patio I will settle for that.

It looked like they were going to lock him up and throw away the key there for a while and it was totally justifies given his actions. Print a map of the Philippines on a legal-sized piece of paper. Attach it to a dart board. Pick up a dart, close your eyes, and throw. Look for a medium-sized city closest to where the dart lands. Make reservations and just go.

Plenty of guys here have been trying to iterate to you that in 2026, there's no magic undiscovered gem of a city that is full of online women looking for low-reward and limited-future relationships with senior citizens like us.

I'm not saying you can't have success. But it's going to depend on luck and how well you can sell yourself.

Many of us have told you over and over again that finding an ONLINE GAL who will provide you the experience you desire is not easy. But I'm of the belief there are still many REAL-WORLD GALS who would love the chance to brighten up their dreary lives by shacking up with you for a couple of weeks. Therefore, I give you:

I meet and sometimes bang a fair number of semi-desperate and relatively young ladies in northeastern Mindanao cities. The key is to meet them while they are working at menial jobs, like as kiosk-minders at the outdoor fruit and vegetable markets, sales clerks at low budget downtown retail stores, and cooking and serving staff at small eateries. All are poorly paid, have little money for frills, and have very little contact with foreigners.

One common theme is they don't have smart phones. Many have never owned one because of the price. Or they had it, lost or broke it, and can't afford to replace it. They exist using old-style keypad phones or go through life without digital contact.

Smartphone women have realized in the past decade that they have oodles of options. Female worker-bees with analog phones who are toiling at super-shitty jobs have few prospects. With a little work, you can capitalize on their desperation.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter what Philippine city you visit. Just be willing to be a bit adventurous. Take a trike and hike around the wet markets. Walk around downtown commercial areas and stop at the small shops. Eat meals at small eateries (carendarias) that appear to have cute servers. Be friendly, smile, and initiate conversation. Don't dress like a beach bum.

The potential for success is pretty good, no matter where you go.

BTW, since you'll already be in Davao, give it a try at the city's market areas. Search for "Public Market Davao" in Google Maps for locations and wear some comfortable shoes.

Joe's third tip:

General Santos is quite far from Davao City. A closer option is Tagum City, population 300,000 (same as Butuan City). Located about a 2-hour bus ride northeast of Davao. Has 4 good-sized shopping malls and is relatively easy to traverse by trike or multi-cab. I visit a couple of times each year and rarely see foreigners at the malls.

Book a couple of nights at the JRJF Hotel near the Tagum City bus terminal. Airconditioned rooms for between $10-20 USA per night. You get what you pay for, but your basic needs are covered. Vegetable and used clothing markets are within walking distance for your daytime flirting.

Nightclubs and videoke bars are nearby so you can have some fun engaging with the groups of female customers if you strike out during the day. Once you meet a suitable gal, go online and upgrade your lodging.

If you get tired of Tagum City, hop on the bus and head to Panabo City (population 150,000). The bus passes through it on the route between Davao and Tagum.

Or if you want to head south, stay a few days in Digos City (population 200,000), located on the national highway toward General Santos.

Honestly, I don't have the right character to be the first to strike up a conversation on the street, but going to supermarkets or open markets, buying something from those desperate girls would be easier for me to talk to.

But if I fully understand what you are telling me, I can stay in Davao even for 2 months. In fact, the city is very large, with many markets and many other options. So I could also do without moving to other smaller cities if I didn't feel like it.

However I accept all your advice, but I have to correct you on ONE. You told me that Butuan is a 2 hour bus ride from Davao. Unfortunately, Butuan is slightly further from Gagayan de Oro from Davao. A bus from CDO to Davao takes 11 hours, I tell you this with utmost certainty.

OK, however I must say that I read your detailed post with great attention and interest and I will do what I have read.

I think I'll do it this way:

In the month that I will be in Davao I would like to visit Tagum for one or two days (maybe I will go with a scooter). I will test the waters and if I can find some girls I will keep her "warm" for when I go to Tagum after Davao. I would like to stay in Tagum for many days because I believe it is really a fertile field. But maybe in those two days I will also be able to find a girl who likes to come to Davao to stay with me for a few days. You never know. The only problem is that I have never struck a button first with a girl on the street or in the market, and maybe I will find myself in difficulty. [/QUOTE]Davao has the famous Night Markets right in the centre of Poblacion. You can't miss it.

The front has all the BBQs and eateries mostly serving families and young couples. Very nice meals but the chances of scoring a lone girl are very low. Continue walking and there are tents of ukiuki stores selling cheap second hand clothes and seemingly endless phone covers, chargers and useless novelties. These are much more suitable.

It's a good night out and you never know your luck.

Come on, buddy. You've previously visited the Philippines many times. It's the friendliest country in the world. Yes, you'll be a bit of a curiosity while pounding the pavement on the sidewalks and alleyways around the barangay and city markets, low-budget dry-goods stands, and small department stores.

Bystanders will glance and may silently judge, then quickly forget you. Nobody cares. Nobody is going to confront you about shamelessly conversing and lightly flirting with barely-legal workers. Unless you can't control yourself and reach out for some public boob squeezing.

I have the feeling you strike out so much in the online world is because your intentions are made too quickly and aggressively for the majority of non-prostitutes. It's going to be much of the same with these local girls if you don't tone down your approach.

Tell them you're here on a holiday but open to finding a girlfriend and possibly a wife. You don't trust online women, so you are hoping to just find a nice normal girl who wants a simple life with a caring partner.

Talk for a couple of minutes, then mention you're a little hungry and want to go buy some snacks. Ask if she would like something too. Take her with you, or bring back some chips and keep chatting.

Unfortunately, the Victoria Plaza, my favorite low-end mall in Davao City, closed its doors for good on January 1. Very sad, as the salesgirls in the Victoria Department Store wore the shortest mini skirts of any mall-gals in the Phils.
