Have Fun[/QUOTE]Dear DonOmar, sadly Tulear it's not my first choice anymore for a few reasons:

Mahajanga has more girls available and quality is nearly the same (but Tulear still number one for girl's attitude), safer than Tulear, closer and easier to reach from Tana'.

And a nice "promenade" on the seafront in the late afternoon or early evening.

However. Spots to pick up:

Mahajanga: Ravinala discobar (firs choice in the city), near the port, every night but specially Friday.

Shakira club in the city center: It's a real disco. Some but not all the girls you can find before on Ravinala. Extremely hot temperature, no air con and few fans.

Cotton club: next to Shakira. Good to relax and refresh after Shakira. Drinks more expensive.

This time I didn't try San Antonio, near the sea.

On the promenade on the seafront: quite a few girls waiting to be picked up. Don't be shy. Men have to make the first effort.

Places to eat: LE guest: between the seafront and the city center; good food (specially Pizza), nice waitresses, friendly owner and good ambiance.

All the small kiosks near the seafront offer brochettes, sambos and chicken for a cheap price. A lot of Gasy.

Safety: very good in Mahajanga. There is police around also in the night time and private guards also on the bars near the port. I felt real safe.

Transports: if you want cheaper than flights but better than the normal taxi brousse, you have 2 good choices: premier class van leaving from hotel Gran Mellis in Tana.

(price 78.000 AR) and Cotisse Transport (there is a facebook page). They have private station, new buses and leave on time.

Excursions: don't lose the beach in the weekend specially Sunday. Have to hire a taxi for 10-15.000 AR (there are also public transports). Ambiance real Gasy and worth a visit.

Prices fro girls: 30-40.000 AR.

Just few words on Tana where there are already a lot of reports. From 9 pm LE Glacier like usual. Good for me because I don't like to stay out too late in the night.

Quality is usual low or average but can find few gems most of the times. Later, bar Manson: sure the best in Tana. Girls from all Mada so you can find the different body style tribes.

Safety: usually I had no problem, but hire a taxi in the night and be careful in the markets on the daytime specially of the young kids.

Prices: between 40 and 80.000 AR but I never paid more than 50.000.

Will follow updates on Tulear and Tamatave.

Tulear still the hottest girls in Mada.

Places to pick up: at the moment the historic Zaza is closed for renovation so there is Tam Tam disco, nice place, clean, a few gems some of real good quality.

Close to Zaza. Tata Djembe disco: ambiance Gasy 100%, is small, smelly and girls ratio not so good but girls are not too much in the business, freelancers available 100%.

All the ears between Tam Tam and tata Djembe. Grils ratio no good but very cheap drinks to get warm before clubs.

In the daytime try the area near the restaurant LE blue and the small port to Anakao: few girls going around ready to pick up and a couple of massages.

Safety: Just in the nighttime: avoid 100% the cyclo pouzze-pouzze. I heard a few stories of tourists but also Gasy get beaten and robbed. Please. Hire a taxi! I'm not joking.

Place to eat: Étoile de la mer near the sea, LE Jardin (my first choice) and for Italian food: Cortomaltese.

Excursions: Ifaty-Mangily: worth a visit a few days. Nice sea, good food, pick up points not so crowded but have 2 disco. Bars; otherwise on the beach on the daytime.

Anakao: better beach and sea than Ifaty-Mangily but nothing to do in the nighttime; nearly no chance to pick up, but good if you don't go alone.

Transports: flight from Tana or 22 hours Taxi brousse. Nothing in the middle.

Prices: 30.000 AR is more than enough. Just in tam Tam they can try more.

Tamatave: girls more aggressive than Tulear and Mahajanga. But not annoying, they are just not scared to make the first step. Quality, from my point of view is lower but still OK.

Place to pick up: near the port from the late afternoon and in the bars next to. Quality low but few gems. LE Neptune on the seafront: girls pro.

LE Pandora, but just Friday and Saturday: full of freelancers. I had good experiences over there. I never tried the club: V. I. P. , should do next time.

Other pick up point is the bar restaurant la Terrasse: good to go early evening, but nearly all day there is somebody waiting for you.

Safety: Pouzze-pouzze are annoying. Avoid them in the nighttime and hire a taxi.

Restaurants: LE bateau ivre for the seafood, the Piment banane but I enjoyed a lot la Veranda. And of course la Terrasse specially to check some chicks.

Excursions: One hour taxi brousse from the city there is Foulpointe, a village on the sea that is popular with people from Tamatave but during holidays also from Tana.

There is a disco and girls are smiling but I've been just in daytime. I think worth a longer visit specially in the weekend or high season.

Transport: Sure Cotisse service. They leave all the time from Tana and from Tamatave. Good price and "just" 7 hours drive.

Prices: 30-40.000 AR.

Give them what they ask, be assured it won't be much compared to many places. And what you want to do, and for how long depends on what mood you're in.

Like the others said. This is not Thailand or Cambodia.

Usually girls leave in the morning if you don't want to kick them out before. Sometimes they are happy to stay with you even longer.

Usually I discuss price in front just with girls that are clearly pro. Specially in Tana', or if I get 2 girls at the same time. Otherwise, specially freelancers, they accept what you give them.
