The lists and maps are great, WT, and good that you update and circulate them; but for the newbie getting off the plane, maybe little or no Spanish, unfamiliar with the street numbering system, head full of information overload, maybe doesn't have a data sim, wondering which areas are safe, easy to get to, and so on it can be a bit much occasionally, as we can see from hesitant questions even from people who have RTFF.

When I did a quick guide on getting to a couple of main areas I got shot down a bit, but I do think it is worth persevering. If you print out the lists, and even if you have the maps on a smartphone (assuming you feel ok carrying one and know when and how it's ok to do so), it's a lot of info. The list runs to several pages. Might be ok to browse over breakfast in Lleras Park but can be too much to carry around. Then you have to click on each of the map locations to get details. No wonder so many opt for the "ask a regular to guide you" route!

Here's one thing that you can do (or use this one). Group some relevant data to use quickly. For instance, even the whole of Candelaria is too much to scout out on foot and there isn't always a taxi on the backstreets when you want one. So take a few and annotate for quick reference so you can just glance at them without looking like a geek consulting a reference folder!

By the way, if you can be bothered WT or others, it might be good to add ("updated xx / xx / xxxx") to casas etc as you visit them. Usually when they have gone up it is still in the same ball-park, but it is helpful to know a current bottom price. E. g. Energy wouldn't shift below 130 (I guess they have to pay for those marble-effect bathrooms duh!) I think Zandalay is slightly more than listed as well, can't remember. It's too much work for one person to check all of them every year unless they are super-dedicated! (Another way is to take ownership, and issue 'your' list every so often, as happens in some countries on the board.).

All these are walking distance for instance (although you might want to cross off Yakusa unless you are down that grubby direction). Of course, most casas are only any good during the day. So bus from airport and either walk or taxi to first location, browse, stop when you see one you like.

You can do the same with the info for each one. If you are very nifty at editing, paste it onto the map (missing out bits you don't need and extra punctuation). Or type it and put it on your phone as a jpg. Or cut out that bit of the list that covers the ones you want. (eg Villanueva+Los Angeles for the mini map in the last post.).

The map isn't exactly the most useful when walking down the street-unless you print a big one all zoomed in. Withcar the addresses clear and legible--but, I don't think that's realistic for all the casas--esp when so many are clustered near each other.

But, if I am on carrera 47 near calle 48 (making up an address for an example) then I can figure out where destination xxx is at carrera 49 # 47-5 (making up and address for the point I am making).

Check in the bottom section of the Colombia reports and go to the Medellin List page. The actual list is on Page 13, number 949. I can understand the problems that newbies have trying to find these lists because they are not at the front part of the section. But you will find hundreds of listings for venues with complete addresses and other important info etc.

It used to be 20 k a few years ago, and there were some friendly girls. I had a personal relationship with some of the girls and we travelled pueblos together sometimes. But now, harcore pros from El Centro and barrios are coming to Mayo for better money.

I finally found one who was slim and pretty with some nice curves, a Spanish-looking brunette. I discussed business, and she said no BBBJ under any circumstances. I'm sure there's some price she'd accept. But I wasn't going to pay it, (though it might have been funny just to find out.) I then asked a really tiny cute one (not that young-looking once I saw her up close, over 20, I think) and she too flat out denied any unsheathed contact. I talked to several more and kept encountering the same issue, also no kissing or cunnilingus (though I didn't always inquire).

The prices quoted were 30-50 K for a half hour (+ a room, if you don't have one or don't want to take her there), but I didn't haggle price since they weren't going for the BBBJ anyway, and all seemed like hardened pros. I'm not particularly repulsive, so I don't think it was personal. I also noticed that no girl wanted to give any discount at all for time (40 K per half hour, thus 80 K for one hour, 160 K for 2 hrs, duh). I did not want to take another girl back to my room without at least getting to know her a bit first, so I just got a room down on the strip. The room was 15K for a hh, which is a ripoff, but whatever. And I paid her 30K, I think.

Juliana was a nice girl, but not GFE at all. And she also wouldn't take her bra off! I guess that's a trend on La Mayorista? I didn't even ask why; she had a baby too, so I figured it was the baby infection thing again. I also didn't offer a tip for BBBJ, because there were so many refusals around there, I just got tired of the discussion. But, I did find her to be a respectable girl and I think warming her up in a longer session could be possible. The session ended with her putting her little butt in my face (after saying eating her was not allowed) while she gave me an arduous handjob, and she even continued it for a while trying to get me to finish twice, which I appreciated.

I would not have worried about taking her to my room once I'd talked to her a bit, but I didn't bring her back that night. If anyone has contact info for her, I'd appreciate it. Regarding casas, they are nearly all only daytime.

I can remember about 7 years ago when Mayorista was much better but my preference now is El Centro.

I haven't seen many reports on this forum regarding the pricier casas / massage joints in Medellin so I thought I'd share my experiences from a visit last week. I should begin by noting that I do recognize that there are a lot of less expensive options available but I like to enjoy the company of a provider in a more upscale setting so was willing to pay the higher prices. I also like the fact that they are open at night. When one is in Medellin mainly for business but wants to have some fun on the side, it's hard to get away during the day when the less expensive casas are open.

First venture out was to Energy. The place is located in Estadio. Carretera 74 # 49-101. There were about a dozen chicas working; none were more than 7/8. I chose a tall busty chica named Lorena. I can't remember her number. She turned out not to be a great choice. Fake boobs, cesarean scar and unenthusiastic performance that I'd rate a 7 at best. On the positive side, the place is nice with a comfortable reception area, clean rooms with nice showers. Damage was 130 pesos for 1 hour with only one pop and everything covered.

Second venture was Loutron. This place is a little bit hard to find. It's on the road leading towards the airport. Address is Calle 12 Sur #10-245. It is located at the top of a winding side road and looks more like an upscale villa than a casa. The entry area is fine hardwood and there is art on the walls. I got there rather late (9:30 pm) and there were only about 8 chicas working. All were at least 8's and there were a couple of 9's. I went with Jessica, a tall Negra Chica who gave me a sassy smile during the parade through. All I can say is WOW. Gorgeous body and a nice personality. Experience was almost GFE except for the covered BJ. DFK, DATY which she was really into, 2 pops in multiple positions with some nice cuddling and conversation in between. More like what one would expect from an escort than a case Chica. The price is quite steep - 260 pesos for 60 minutes. But the service and ambiance were what one who want at that price.

Final venture was back to Energy, this time in the late afternoon after meetings ended. This time I opted for Claudia. A cute spinner with bright red dyed hair. She was a lot of fun. Everything still covered but lot's of kissing and responsiveness from her side. She has gorgeous breasts and was into having them kissed and licked. Ditto for DATY.

Again, I recognize that there are lots of cheaper options in MDE and that the places I've written about aren't for everyone, but I hope this will prove useful to other members who, like myself, tend to do their mongering during business trips rather than on trips and are in a position to go a bit more more upscale.

Thanks also for confirming what I said a few posts ago that Energy is now 130 an hour, not 120 as indicated on the casa map info (at least the one I have downloaded). Let's be clear this is 130 K or 130,000 Colombian Pesos, often written Col $130,000 or COP130,000 (130 pesos of course would involve the smallest coins).

Perhaps the keepers of the lists could introduce some standardisation when they get a chance. The most recent download of the list I have, under Energy, has "Expensive $100 but good. " People who are familiar with Colombia know what they mean, naturally, but it makes for gobbledegook, especially when many USA Mongers understandably like to talk about USD equivalents. 100 USD it isn't, and even Col $100 K it isn't (as the price has clearly gone up).

I agree with what you say about enjoying some time in "an upscale setting" though I don't agree that the services are particularly upscale. It seems to depend on the girl and how you get on with her. I felt I was paying for the bathroom at Energy (it's nice, but so is my hotel), and the service I had was poorer than I've had at cheaper casas. I don't know of any Medellin casas that I would call really upmarket when service it taken into account (and 260 K at Loutron without even getting BBBJ strikes me as frankly outrageous). I agree though that if you are in a city on a business trip it can be too much of a jump to go down to the cheapest of places. If you have to walk out of the hotel in a decent suit the last thing you want is a place with nowhere to hang it and water all over the bathroom floor (or no bathroom!

Back onto the list, it would be a valuable service if one of the Paisas or long-time Medellin mongers tidied it up a bit. New Life, for instance, is listed at least twice, there is a meaningless distinction between a section on "Casas-Salas de Masajes (meeting places for massage)" and then a separate section on "Erotic Massage / Casas". A casa is simply a house where (in this context) men pay women for sex, and the examples listed as erotic massage are no different to the ones called "meeting places. " Then there's the thing where half of it is written in Spanish and half in English. "Calle", "Carrera" are essential but days of the week appearing in Spanish have probably just been copied from a Colombian forum. (It's quite possible for guys with zero Spanish to do Medellin: why make it harder!

Even though it's dated 2013, if WT is keeping an eye on it and updating it when he has time, it would be handy to have a regular link (there are so many versions floating around). We would be sitting there watching the girls walk by, and it was so natural to flag one down, and start a interview in a very relaxed manner.

To anyone with experence there knows you have to put a little time in to find a good choice. Much easier to do that sitting down in the heart of the action instead of continously walking up, and down the strip.

Thus report is not intended to indicate overall quality, which is mostly luck of the draw and when you happen to go. The choice is probably more about the type of place you'd choose to frequent. Three random recent visits.

FASE II. Crr. 44, #30-27, San Diego. I was seriously disappointed. Paid the brute on the door to get in, paid a ridiculous price for a beer, and out of about ten girls spread about the place only two looked doable and neither had a particularly brilliant attitude. First girl on stage, after a long wait, basically walked up and down a few times and that's all. The next, only slightly more attractive, did make a feeble attempt at swinging on a pole before leaving the stage and hurrying over for a tip. Her act had been rubbish, there was zero attempt at sexiness or audience interaction, and neither did anyone get to see very much. I told her I was about to leave and she again asked for a tip. I looked her squarely and said kindly that her dance wasn't very good (that was mild, out of hundreds of strip clubs I can't honestly think of a worse dance). Left.

CONEJITAS. Crr. 52, #53-03, a few yards from Paque Berrio Metro. This is tourist-trap (or any other idiot-trap) central, although with occasional gems in the dust. Not the nicest of streets at night. Smell of [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord109][CodeWord109][/url] increases as you go further from the Metro. Bouncer on the door rings a loud bell as a customer enters. Apparently the signal for the women to get off whatever piece of furniture they are asleep on and look lively (most of them managed the first bit). Another of these darkly lit bars downstairs. I can barely see that the unattractive young and not-so-young ladies are ladies, much less the difference between one peso bill and another. Worst of the three.

UPSTAIRS BAR, CRR. 53. Sorry, I didn't check the name, but there's only one. It's on a corner as you wander along Carrera 53 from Calle 53. I'd just enjoyed a beer at Tony's a nice place to hang out where you can flirt, size up local malandros and they assure themselves that you are not a mark or whatever. The upstairs strip bar is on the same side, on a corner on the left, as you continue in the direction of the Museum, Prado, etc. A few uglies but plenty of nice looking girls. Good strip show while another girl tempted me quite successfully by dancing fully clothed but being very sexy and no pressure.

Easy to see which I like, but others will tell you only the devil when he's drunk will go down Calle 53.

Too late to edit. Think I got some Calles and Carreras mixed up (just cut and pasted them from whatever version of the list I had handy on my mobile). Attachment for clarification.
